Yunoshimakan ★★★★
"This was definetely the highlight of our trip. Old 11 storey building that felt like a labirinth with am impeccable service and exteremely delicious kaiseki dinner. The view from pretty much every part of the building, including the rooms, was fantastic. We also tried the billiard and the local bar, which I can definetely recommend."
Bosenkan ★★★★
"As always japanese service is excellent, they are very polite and friendly. However, even with their exceptional service, it could not compensate for the poor quality of the hotel. I like the size of room, the view, and the service. This is by far the worst of my Ryokan or on-sen hotel experience. First, the hotel is so stringy since they offer very limited services in the service. There is no free water (no free drink at the on-sen that most hotels will provide after finishing bathing), no free skincare products (even in the public bath), no enough activities in the hotel (only cartoon room, table tennis and kid room). Second, the breakfast and dinner is very disappointing. Taste is ok but the quality and the quantity is very questionable why I would spend this much for these meals. Finally, they provides only 1 outdoor and 1 indoor on-sens for each male and female which is very unfortunate. The facilities need Hugh improvement. I would come back to Gero again but not stay in this hotel."
Suimeikan ★★★★
"Facilities: Excellent, with three distinct hot spring options. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Comfortable and relaxing. Dinner: The Japanese-Western fusion kaiseki was perfect; no重复 dishes over three days, showing great care and high quality."
Toraya Inn ★★★
"Such a great facility for vacation. Will recommend this place to friends. Thankful for their hospitality. Love it!"
Hotel de Marronnier Gero Onsen ★★★
"The hotel is located on a hillside on the edge of Gero City, offering panoramic views of the entire city. It's a bit of a distance from Gero Station, so driving is recommended, but the hotel also provides a shuttle bus."
Gerobal Hostel ★★
"There is a parking lot, but it was very difficult to park."
Gero Onsen Yamagataya ★★★★
"Service is excellent. Friendly staffs. The room is clean and comfortable. We are enjoying the hot spring there."
Mutsumikan ★★★
"Very convenient, just 3 mins walking distance from Gero station"
Hotel Kusakabe Armeria ★★★★
"Very good experience and staff are very professional especially Mr Taku Yamada as he went the extra mile to accommodate my request to provide me western bed instead of rokan. Hotel is very nice clean n unique with pulley type lift. Good buffet spread. Definitely a good value for money stay."

Ogawaya
"Good location Good hot spring Good view"
Gero Koyokan Annex Wanpakutei
"We stayed at Wanpakutei, just like last year. We received a gift for our dog shortly after arriving. As our dog is elderly, we were able to get a tatami room on the second floor with a great view, as requested. Dinner was just the right amount, and the Hida beef was delicious."
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Gero Honkan(Old:Yukai Resort Premium Gero Saichoraku Honkan)
"We booked a Japanese-style room for 5 people. The hotel provided pajamas. There were many types of breakfast and dinner. The hot spring is one of the three famous hot springs in Japan. There is a charge for changing towels. There are free drinks and massage facilities."
Sasara
"The location is excellent, with a family mart downstairs and a world-class supermarket nearby. However, the rooms with open-air baths are too far from the public baths and restaurants. While the upstairs baths are also great, the food is not very good."
Koyoi Tenku Ni Asobu Shogetsu
"The view was amazing, and the hospitality was fantastic. The panoramic view of the mountains and the Hida River from the high ground from the windows was truly amazing. My husband, who loves trains, was very impressed to be able to watch the trains passing over the iron bridge. It was a surprise for him as he had no idea about it. The hallway to the private dining room was also an exciting, wonderful space that gave us a taste of the extraordinary, and we were also impressed by the hospitality of the waitresses. Each dish of food was carefully prepared and delicious, and healthy for our bodies. We would definitely recommend this inn to others."
Gero Onsen Fugaku
"An old hotel in Gero, surrounded by mountains and water, with friendly service staff, and one person who speaks English, which makes communication easy. The catering service is in place, and an old lady is very dedicated."
Gero Onsen Yukyunohana
"The bath room is a bit small and not very useful; the public hot spring is very authentic, but the hot spring is not very tasty; the omakase for dinner is rich and delicious, and the breakfast is also of a good standard"
Gero Onsen Gero Royal Hotel Miyabitei
"The overall experience was very satisfactory. There was also a Mandarin-speaking waiter who arranged for us from Hong Kong, and the communication was smooth. There is no shuttle bus at the location, but it takes more than ten minutes to walk from the JR station. If the luggage is not heavy, it is not too far. The hotel is beautiful, with a souvenir shop at the entrance and a hot spring pool for footbaths. On the seventh floor are separate hot spring pools for men and women, with an open-air pool. The male soup faces the direction of the station and you can see different scenery in the morning and evening. The female hot spring bath has great privacy, but no scenery. It seems that you can book private bathing for men and women, but we didn't have time to try it this time. The room is large and you can choose to make the bed. It's no problem for four people, but this time it was just my girlfriend and me. The view of the creek outside the room is particularly beautiful at night, but it is very light in the morning. It is recommended to bring your own eye mask to sleep late. There was a special event on Saturday, with many performances and stalls, and it was very atmospheric. Finally, there are meals, breakfast and dinner are not to be missed and can be enjoyed at a few designated times. We stayed for two nights and had different menus for both days. The dishes include the signature Hida beef and fish sashimi, but the cooking methods are different. It was very enjoyable. It is recommended that you do not need to change hotels for two nights."
Kawakamiya Kasuitei
"A very high-class Japanese-style hot spring experience, complete with a private bath. Breakfast and dinner service were excellent, and the food was satisfying and memorable. Located by the river, it offers views of the river day and night, and even the moon at night. The only complaint is that Trip makes its name complicated and difficult to remember; why not use its Chinese name "川上屋花水亭" instead of the confusing Japanese pronunciation?"
Gero Springs Hotel
"The best choice for business trips!"
Yuasobi No Yado Gero Kanko Hotel Honkan
"The hotel room was different from expectations and had to pay to stay in a room with a hot spring, but Trip.com kindly gave me a refund and additional fund to compensate my time. This is excellent service."
Hotel Miki
"I loved the open-air kimono, and we stumbled upon the snow-viewing hot spring. The tatami room was also very nice. The food was so-so, but considering the price wasn't expensive."
