"British solo backpacker, 30 years old.
Very clean hostel/hotel.
Breakfast between 6:30-10am included in stay.
Very quiet hostel no music no party hostel, however just a minor noise from neighbours, they have roosters and chickens which start from 6am till 11am
Has been a problem with my stay due to me having an ear infection from scuba diving and being on antibiotics. But have had spoken to trip.com and have supported my stay and been very helpful. It’s a 20 minute walk to knock out gym and 25 minutes to the PEIR.. 45 minutes to the main strip. It is walkable.
But scooters are 200baht a day. There is a laundromat next door to hotel and two 7- elevens close by. Few good restaurants.
Plus the hostel does a scuba diving course with padi the team and instructors are amazing.
They also have so much happening in the day.
They have beach clean up in the morning.
They have drop off and pick up services to the beach from 1:30-4 and then sunset drop off and pick up from 5:30-7pm every day. You go to a new place every day. It is really cool they also have other activities.
Overall I had a great time meeting people here, but it is very far away. It is clean not a party hostel but just the neighbours roosters and chickens and bonfire are a problem."

GGuest UserA wonderful place for recreation 🫶 lived 2 families from 25 to 30 December in the smallest villa, all this time with us were wonderful Steve and Muhammad. Steve took us all over the island wherever we wanted and took us from anywhere, thank you Steve 🙏Muhammed also took care that our rest was careless, helped to organize the washing, Organized us a tour to the sea 🙏ville clean every day, there is everything necessary for cooking food (we did not prepare TK on the sairi a lot of delicious cafes). I definitely recommend this place for rest, very atmospheric and comfortable, in the surrounding jungle ❤️
IIANA KWe stayed for 3 nights, which felt like more than enough time before heading to Koh Tao. We had plenty of time to visit the viewpoint and take photos everywhere without the crowds of day-trippers. It truly felt like we were on a deserted island! The room had everything we needed: toiletries, hot water, a fridge, a kettle, tea, and coffee. Housekeeping was daily. Breakfast was included, even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking. For breakfast, they bring you a sheet where you mark what you'd like them to prepare (the menu is consistent, but you can choose how your eggs are cooked and your coffee – the coffee seemed to be instant). There are two restaurants on the island: one on the hotel premises where breakfast is served, offering European cuisine. The other is further down, near the 'spit,' and serves Thai food with more reasonable prices; day-trippers often ate there. Prices are higher than on Koh Tao for obvious reasons, as there are no shops. However, there's a free daily shuttle to Koh Tao and back, which is convenient for longer stays. For example, a 0.33L beer on the island costs 120 baht, a mango shake is 150 baht, and dishes start from 300+ baht.
YYaelWe had an amazing time there. I really have nothing bad to say about it.
First of all- the stuff. Always welcoming you with a smile and treating you with a personal attention. for example we told them we’re going to the beach and they offered us to borrow snorkeling masks for free. Also I got hurt in my leg and they really helped me to bandage it. The most appreciated thing is that they heard our ferry back is at noon so they offered us late check out for free!
Beside that, the room is very clean, the view to the beach from the balcony is a big wow. the coffee at breakfast is just perfect.
Thank you so much guys ♥️♥️♥️ hope to come back someday.
AAnonymous UserThe rooms have a rustic design but are full of thoughtful details, reflecting an eco-friendly and holiday-oriented concept. The hotel assigned us a very private room with a balcony overlooking the entire bay, and we even had occasional visits from small animals.
While there isn't a private beach, there's a small pier within walking distance where you can swim and snorkel, and the water here is much clearer than the sandy areas next door.
The hotel restaurant was a pleasant surprise; both the Thai and Western dishes were excellent, so there's no need to go out for meals.
A exquisite and private hotel, highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe hotel matches the description: a cozy bay, good service, tasty breakfast, and a great location close to nature.
We came mainly for snorkeling, but during these two days there were small waves and poor visibility — something impossible to predict. The forest bungalows with one bathroom shared between two rooms are tiny. We booked both rooms since there were three of us, and that worked fine, but sharing the bungalow with strangers would be questionable.
Soundproofing in the bungalows is weak. We could hear a lot at night — frogs and other wildlife were singing all night long. Bring earplugs if you need silence.
Breakfast was delicious, although some items listed on the menu were not available. Dinner in the evening was also quite good.
The transfer picked us up from the pier and brought us safely to the hotel. We used the same transfer on the way back, but it was paid — the hotel offers one free ride.
On the beach, there are indeed very few sun loungers and chairs for all guests. There are a couple of nice cafes on the beach for variety, but during the day many tourists come and it can be hard to find a place to sit.
Overall, we had a great two-day stay.
GGuest UserWe stayed at Dusita Buncha for 6 days. Our room had a sea and pool view. The room was spacious, but there weren't enough shelves for small items, so all our little things ended up in bags in the corner. The bathroom didn't have a shower screen. We also heard the constant noise of water pumps. They offered us a room on a higher floor, but it had the same issue. Some people might not notice it, but I got used to it over the days. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The fridge and air conditioning were a bit loud, but again, you get used to everything. We ended up sleeping without the AC. The hotel has beautiful grounds, but I wish they'd take better care of them, especially clearing trash and dirt from the pathways. The sea had lots of coral and fish. We took a boat to Nang Yuan islands, which cost 300 baht per person for a round trip. The gym smelled strongly of rubber, so I couldn't use it. Unfortunately, they didn't provide water bottles or towels for our child (6 years old). The staff were friendly and responsive! Dining at the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner was a bit expensive, so we went to neighboring cafes instead. My suggestion would be to create a small kids' room or playground, as there's plenty of space on the hotel grounds. Also, having some board games would be a nice addition.
JJlilley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Peaceful Romantic Getaway with Stunning Views
We stayed at Taatoh Seaview Resort, bungalow S8, for two nights as a couple — and it was absolutely beautiful. The view from our bungalow was breathtaking — right over the turquoise water, with sunrise lighting up the bay. The sound of the waves and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like our own private hideaway.
The bungalow itself was simple but comfortable, with everything we needed: a cozy bed, fan/aircon, fridge, and a private balcony perfect for morning coffee or watching the stars at night. The outdoor area had that perfect balance of privacy and openness, surrounded by lush greenery and ocean breeze.
The staff were kind and helpful, always smiling and quick to assist with transport or recommendations. The location is great — quiet and away from the crowds, but still close enough to Freedom Beach and the viewpoint trails.
If you’re a couple looking for a quiet, romantic spot to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty of Koh Tao, bungalow S8 at Taatoh Seaview Resort is perfect. We left wishing we’d stayed longer.
GGuest UserLocation is the reason why we choose to stay at this hotel.Staffs r all ok on average standard. Hotel has classes to attend if guests want.Free kayak n standup paddle board fr 1 hr n snorkel mark fr rent. Bf has varied selection, has all u needed. What put us off fr entire stay was the smell of waste water or sewage. When we step into our room building we can smell it right away, n when we r in our room as well, forget about sitting on the balcony to enjoy the beach view outside coz we cant sit longer than 20 mins due to the strong ugly smell. We didnt ask to change our room coz we thought that even the whole floor is so smelly like thid then it wouldn’t make any difference to get on higher floor unless we changed our room type to diff building. So we ended up our 3 nights here without any impression aside frm the lovely beach their located. I saw some guests mentioned about this problem but i didnt think it would b this ugly.
Rrocky130713Excellent hotel location, friendly staff. However, the hotel itself is very run down and clearly needs an update and renovation. I have mixed feelings; on one hand, it has everything you need, but on the other hand, everything is worn out. The room is cleaned, but it still feels untidy. The views are gorgeous, but dirty rooftops of neighboring houses and crumbling gutters ruin the experience. Even the bed linens and towels are torn and stained with unremovable marks. They didn't bring an ashtray for 7 days, even though they saw an improvised ashtray made from a disposable cup on the table, while other rooms had them. And it's like that with everything; there's no point in describing every little detail.
To sum it up, I'd say for the price, it's okay. We weren't expecting anything luxurious; we just needed a place to sleep, as we spent very little time at the hotel. Will we come back here again? Absolutely not. For the same price, you can find much better accommodation on the island.
OOrlaNdoSExcellent hotel, especially the location. It has direct access to both the pier and the lively street. The pool is great, and you can swim late into the evening. The room is cozy and has all the essentials.
