The staff gave excellent recommendations. The facilities are complete, with separate toilet, shower, and a dedicated area for washing face, brushing teeth, and even a hairdryer/makeup vanity for ladies. It's close to food sources, so you can easily buy food or order it to the accommodation. There's a common area and a bar where you can chill out and have a drink with friends. It's a shared room but offers a good level of privacy. Most importantly, it's clean and safe!

Conveniently located near One Nimman, along with streets lined with cafes and shops.
Very clean and cozy. The room includes a TV, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, cotton balls, cotton swabs, and shower caps.
The shower has constant hot water.
There's no refrigerator or kettle in the room, but these are available in the dining area next to reception. There's a pot of hot water, tea bags, instant coffee, and tableware. There's also one refrigerator for all guests, stocked with baskets. Each room has its own labeled basket. Very convenient.
When you check in, you'll find rubber slippers in cloth bags in your room. Earplugs are located above the bed.
Bottled water is replenished daily.
The small walk-in closet is very convenient. Breakfast comes in two flavors, each stylishly presented: 1. Omelet, 2 sausages, 2-3 slices of toast, some vegetables; 2. Something like shakshuka with chicken and mushrooms, 2-3 slices of toast.
Overall, the staff does a great job. There was one disappointing issue, which we've listed in the cons.
Cons: The hotel staff couldn't help us book a transfer to Chiang Rai. We needed a private car. Upon request, we were advised to take the bus from the bus station. This is a first for us in many years of traveling to different countries, where hotels have always helped us arrange transfers to other cities or airports. Our cards don't work abroad, so we couldn't use 12go to book a transfer ourselves.
The sink only had cool water.
Every day, breakfast was limited to eggs. We had to buy our own fruit, greens, and muesli.

If you are looking for a hotel in Chiang Mai that genuinely delivers on every level, look no further than The GORD. Our family had an absolutely wonderful time here, and it is one of those rare hotels that leaves you feeling sad to check out and already looking forward to coming back.
From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff set the tone for the entire stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the team went out of their way to make sure our family felt welcome, comfortable, and well cared for throughout. It is the kind of genuine hospitality that you simply cannot manufacture, it comes naturally here, and it makes all the difference.
The rooms were beautiful, stylish, spacious, and immaculately presented. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully appointed, making it a genuinely relaxing place to return to after a day of exploring everything that magnificent Chiang Mai has to offer. The hotel itself has a charm and character that perfectly complements its surroundings, and the overall atmosphere is warm, inviting, and utterly memorable.
If there is one thing we would love to see added, it is a swimming pool. For a family staying in the Chiang Mai heat, a pool would really be the icing on the cake and would make an already exceptional hotel completely perfect. It is the one and only thing missing from what is otherwise a flawless experience.
The GORD Hotel Chiang Mai is quite simply one of the best family hotels we have stayed in during our travels. Exceptional staff, stunning rooms, and a genuinely joyful atmosphere, we cannot recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be returning.

Location is actually right in the middle of everything. Very easy to go around, eating places, massage places, market etc all just within walking distance. The place can be tricky to find, but to make your life easier, search for Hard Rock Cafe in Chiang Mai and it’s just a walk to the opposite. You will see a small massage shop called Cloud and a noodles shop on the same row, opposite there’s a booth to book for tours, don’t hesitate, walk in and you will see the sign minitel. Staff is not available after 4pm but they leave your keys up front which is very easy to check in, just make sure to register the next day. If you need any other amenities, ask at the front desk. I asked for the hairdryer. They have washing machines and dryer available but you need to make sure you have 10 baht coins available to use it. Room is very small but just enough for me as a solo traveler. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious but draining doesn’t seem too amazing, water heater is not hot enough in my opinion because I’m easily cold and weather in chiangmai is cold. Theres also a water machine available in front for clean drinking water, there’s jugs inside your room that you can use it to fill up with water and keep in your room and drink with the cups in it. It’s a very nice detail.

This was my first solo trip, and I wanted to try a shared room – I definitely made a great choice! This place is fantastic, close to everything. When I booked, the price was really good, so I assumed breakfast wouldn't be included. But when I checked in, the staff member told me, 'Breakfast is included in this price!' I was like, 'Huh?!' Three nights, all-inclusive, for just 1000 baht! 😆 The air conditioning was cold, the water was cold, it was quiet, and I slept incredibly well. If I get the chance to come back (to fulfill a vow), I'll definitely stay here again!

Near central about a 10 mins walk. It's clean and smallish room. Check in a bit troublesome which requires a contact thru email wa or line to get a code for keys kept in mailbox. There is a receptionist but not useful. No hot water or kettle. Towels are old and rough.

happylife*This was my second stay, and again, I extended it. The staff were friendly, and this time I didn't even need to show my passport. Perhaps because it was off-season, I had the dormitory all to myself both days. The inside was clean too, I'm very satisfied.

Guest UserSuper comfy bed, good AC in the room with a nice little fridge to keep food and drinks cold. Shower was pretty good, it did spray on to the general bathroom floor and cause a mini flood. Otherwise the bathroom was relatively clean. Only bugbear is other peoples hair seems to be everywhere.

This is a classic old hotel, about 8 km from the airport. The elevator is there but out of service, so you have to take the stairs. Checking in was a bit confusing at first – where's the front desk staff? It turns out you check in via an automated kiosk. If you look confused, a staff member will come to help you. The air conditioning works great. The wooden wardrobe is broken and very vintage. The old parquet flooring has a great vibe. The bathroom is decorated in the style of an old school toilet from 1987 – luckily, there's still hot water and a comfortable toilet. The bed is very soft, accompanied by the sound of planes taking off periodically. After midnight, it's quiet until 8 AM. The hotel is on the main road, with pubs, massage parlors, and restaurants nearby. It's perfect for backpackers or ghost hunters, focusing on a casual solo stay or with friends for content creation. For just over 600 baht, just sleep it off, morning will come eventually. So many stories! This is the first hotel I've booked that left me utterly baffled, and I really wanted to write a review about it! 😂😂😂 Go check it out!
