First of all, a big thank you to the shop owner for hosting the girl from Chiang Mai. She spoke simple Chinese, was incredibly kind and patient, and arranged everything perfectly. The hotel itself is very elegant, with excellent hygiene and facilities. There's also a small balcony where you can enjoy the street view. What I loved most was the fantastic Thai breakfast – it felt like amazing value for money!

Location is actually right in the middle of everything. Very easy to go around, eating places, massage places, market etc all just within walking distance. The place can be tricky to find, but to make your life easier, search for Hard Rock Cafe in Chiang Mai and it’s just a walk to the opposite. You will see a small massage shop called Cloud and a noodles shop on the same row, opposite there’s a booth to book for tours, don’t hesitate, walk in and you will see the sign minitel. Staff is not available after 4pm but they leave your keys up front which is very easy to check in, just make sure to register the next day. If you need any other amenities, ask at the front desk. I asked for the hairdryer. They have washing machines and dryer available but you need to make sure you have 10 baht coins available to use it. Room is very small but just enough for me as a solo traveler. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious but draining doesn’t seem too amazing, water heater is not hot enough in my opinion because I’m easily cold and weather in chiangmai is cold. Theres also a water machine available in front for clean drinking water, there’s jugs inside your room that you can use it to fill up with water and keep in your room and drink with the cups in it. It’s a very nice detail.

Jineeju**Definitely Worth It!**
This place is a solid choice for a stay, especially considering the price. The staff, particularly the manager, are friendly and easy to engage with.
Upon entering the hostel, I was immediately impressed by the stunning interior design and landscaping. The aesthetic is top-notch, and the charming little garden in the center provides a lovely spot to unwind in the chairs.
The location is exceptionally convenient. You can easily access the Saturday and Sunday markets, and there's a 7-Eleven just a short walk away. You’ll also be treated to gorgeous mountain views.
Breakfast is quite good, offering a daily selection of bread, fried eggs, fresh fruit slices, waffle, salad ingredients, and stir-fried pasta with veggies.
The dorm room, while compact as expected, could use some improvement. The toilet was somewhat cramped and not up to the cleanliness standards I hoped for, with poor water quality, no hand soap, and a lack of space &hangers. The bed and room felt dusty at times.
The public seating area, including chairs and tables, needed better upkeep, as did the shared restroom facilities.
Keep in mind there’s no air conditioning in common areas, so be ready to manage mosquitoes and the heat.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel for budget-friendly short stays!
Ps: love the cat 😻 she was a good friend

Logan SolamanI recently stayed at October Hostel located in the vibrant Nimman area of Chiang Mai, and I must say, my experience was exceptional!
Location: The hostel's location is perfect for anyone looking to explore Chiang Mai. Nestled in the bustling Nimman neighborhood, it offers easy access to the city center and is just a short drive from the airport, making it incredibly convenient for travelers.
Host and Service: Mark, the hostel owner, was incredibly hospitable. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel welcome and was eager to share his knowledge of the city. His insights and tips on where to go and what to do in Chiang Mai greatly enhanced my experience.
Accommodations: The rooms at October Hostel are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While I stayed in a standard room this time, I was tempted by the option to upgrade to a much larger room. Given the quality of my stay, I am definitely considering this upgrade on my next visit!
Overall Experience: I highly recommend October Hostel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Whether you’re a solo traveler or coming with friends, the combination of a great location, warm hospitality, and excellent facilities make this hostel a top choice.
Tip for Future Guests: Don’t hesitate to ask Mark for local recommendations – he truly knows the best spots in town!
Looking forward to my next stay at October Hostel, and I can’t wait to try out the larger room!

The location was very good, close to a shopping mall and the airport. About cleanliness, could improve a bit better with more clean bedding and towels. Price is good for the location. Staff answered very fast and very helpful (as well as with good English).

I really enjoyed my stay at Nap and Nomad Hostel Phae Gate in Chiang Mai. The facilities are modern, clean, and well designed, which made my stay very comfortable.
The staff were wonderful and genuinely caring — always friendly and ready to help, making the whole place feel welcoming and homey.
One of my favorite parts of the hostel is the lovely café garden inside the property. It’s a peaceful space with plenty of room to sit, chat, and meet other travelers or just relax with friends.
They also offer motorbike rentals directly at the hostel, which is super convenient if you want to explore Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas.
The location is great as well, only a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town. From here you can easily visit places like Tha Phae Gate, Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phra Singh, and the lively Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. There are also plenty of cafés, local food spots, and markets nearby, so everything is within easy reach.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

Guest UserAbsolutely fantastic! For this price, you get a comfortable and secure private room. Plus, the location is great, just a 10-minute walk from the main road. If you visit the tour company next to the guesthouse, you'll see many tours happening daily. If you're an activity lover or want to fully experience Thailand, you should definitely check this place out. There are showers and toilets on each floor, so you'll have no problems. Excellent value for money!!!

Everything in this hostel was fine overall. However, although I booked an AC room, I was given a fan room instead. When I asked the staff about it, they said that all the AC rooms were already occupied. At first, I decided to adjust because I was too exhausted from the day. Unfortunately, the fan was moving at a bullock-cart speed, which made the situation even more frustrating. I spoke to the staff again, and they politely suggested that I check another fan room that was available at the time. I checked it, but it was in the same condition. By then, a few hours had already passed since my check-in because I had taken a bath and slept for a while due to exhaustion. Later, I realised what a grave mistake I had made, as I simply could not bear the heat in the room. So, I opened the door and the balcony window, only to find that mosquitoes started coming in during the evening. I could not sleep the whole night and finally managed to fall asleep around 4 AM. Although I later closed both the door and the window, it was already too late. Despite everything that happened, the staff’s behaviour was very polite and helpful, and I truly appreciate them for that. Anyway, please make sure you are given an AC room if you book one.

Everthing is well arrnaged eben the location is a bit far from the old town in CNX but it is not too far, very convenient to take the grab transport if you do not rent the car, only 10-15 minutes to the old town by road, easy to explore Nimmanhenimha road and Doi Suthep. Staffs are new but nice and friendly, overall services are good krab.

This is a classic old hotel, about 8 km from the airport. The elevator is there but out of service, so you have to take the stairs. Checking in was a bit confusing at first – where's the front desk staff? It turns out you check in via an automated kiosk. If you look confused, a staff member will come to help you. The air conditioning works great. The wooden wardrobe is broken and very vintage. The old parquet flooring has a great vibe. The bathroom is decorated in the style of an old school toilet from 1987 – luckily, there's still hot water and a comfortable toilet. The bed is very soft, accompanied by the sound of planes taking off periodically. After midnight, it's quiet until 8 AM. The hotel is on the main road, with pubs, massage parlors, and restaurants nearby. It's perfect for backpackers or ghost hunters, focusing on a casual solo stay or with friends for content creation. For just over 600 baht, just sleep it off, morning will come eventually. So many stories! This is the first hotel I've booked that left me utterly baffled, and I really wanted to write a review about it! 😂😂😂 Go check it out!
