New clean and fresh property. Rooms are nice and spacious breakfast buffet has good variety. Menu is also very comprehensive and great. Staff is friendly and courteous. View of the golf course is pleasant. Parking is ample and free. One con is that must have a car to move. Location is peaceful and property stands alone.$200 per room deposit is way too high. Shouldn’t be more than $100

Despite the hotel being under renovation, there was no noise from construction. You couldn't see construction scaffolding inside the hallways, they Built temporary walls that fully hid the corridors with construction. Excellent management of customer experience despite renovations! Excellent location! 2 mins walk to the closest attraction, the national assembly building

The arrival at the hotel started badly with a young receptionist full of germs she kept spreading in her tissue and around (as if we did not just get out of a pandemic that showed us how far any virus can travel) and she started laughing at me in French (assuming that I do not speak over 10 languages including French) saying that I want a room taken by another customer: how rude of her to assume that. The older manager thankfully intervened and the room we checked in via the app was given to us, explaining to the manager, however sick from the road I was, that we did not want something extraordinary: - the room had the lines of the newly built hotels we stayed in the USA and just like in the USA, this room proved to have poor insulation between rooms, slamming doors and the trepidation noises on the hallways to make stuff vibrate in the room. Thankfully everything stopped soon after 10pm and we had a good night sleep only disturbed by the construction next door the following morning, however quiet those people were trying to operate their machinery - parking at the back of the hotel is safe and thankfully Google satellite helped us immensely with travelling to and from Quebec City trying to avoid the major road works happening just about everywhere - the hotel is located near a major shopping area and a Walmart great with icecreams and drinks we always like having - breakfast at the hotel included warm items and it was varied although people kept taking multiple tables to sit and talk: I guess the lower floors were rather busy since we hardly heard any talk up our floor - the manager was kind in thinking of sending a warm up gift, although I wish the young female receptionist would receive further training and stopped assuming things she wanted to assume about customers who effectively pay her salary

The PUR Hotel Quebec is located off Charest Blvd, near Old Quebec. It's a less popular area yet features some great restaurants and boulangeries (bakeries) within walking distance on St. Joseph St. which runs adjacent to the Hotel. I recommend Tora Ya Ramen and Le Bureau De Poste. Also the Le Croquembouche boulangerie is a must visit (the pastries are amazing). Ok on to the Hotel: Our room was on the 16th floor and was very clean and modern. It was quite large and had big floor-length window that provided lots of natural light and an excellent view of St. Joseph St. - The king-size bed was a little soft, but quite comfortable with excellent down (or alternative-down) pillows - The desk was adequate size but I found the chair a little hard to sit on. Also, the desk light did not function, but the other room lights worked well and provided comfortable ambience. - There was a desk phone on one of the bed side tables. A nice feature that seems to be quickly disappearing form many hotels. - A wall-mounted 50 inch LG TV had a good channel selection compared to other hotels that I've stayed at in Quebec. - The outside of the closet door was covered in a great floor-length mirror. - The HVAC worked well with a quiet fan and the controls were easy to operate. Bathroom - I'm sure I'll sound crazy here but the bathroom HAS A DOOR, which, I assume due to recent design trends, seems to be missing in a lot of upscale hotels I've stayed in recently. - The vanity is a good size with lots of room for personal items and there are separate lighted areas for the vanity and shower/tub. - The sink had, in my opinion, an awkwardly located faucet at the side of the sink but it worked fine with good water pressure and the quick enough temperature change. - Under the vanity there was a hair dryer provided. - The shower/tub had a removable handheld shower mounted on a adjustable vertical tube which provided a good even spray with plenty of water pressure. The controls were pretty easy to use with separate dials for on/off/diverter and temperature control. Also the acrylic soaker tub was nice and deep. - The bathroom amenities were provided by Lockwood. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner were wall-mounted in the shower and were excellent. The hand/body lotion and soap located on the vanity were fantastic also. Lastly, I should point out that I found the towels to be soft and absorbent. I wouldn't exactly call them luxurious, but very close. Staff Staff were helpful and friendly and I received my room key in a short time. Restaurant - the hotel has a Van Houtte cafe and a restaurant but we did not eat at either location. TRAVEL TIP Hotel parking costs ~$27/day. Park across the street at the Indigo Public Parking for only $16/day

Free parking Because we are driving by car, we didn't follow the wind to stay at the castle. This location is 7 km from the old castle hotel. The hotel is newly renovated. It is air-conditioned and warm. However, the temperature is around 23, no breakfast, the bathroom is also very big. I like it.

We had a great stay at the Super 8 for our Quebec City trip. Staff are bilingual and helpful. The room was bigger than I expected, super clean and we had a jacuzzi! Beds were very comfortable and shower had lots of hot water and good pressure. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The pool was my kid’s favourite. The water slide was very fun for kids and adults alike. The hot tub was so relaxing and I was able to watch my kids play from the hot tub so that was nice. The only suggestion I would make is the breakfast was rather lacking. And the pool towels are very thin and small. We had a great time and would not hesitate to book again.

Half way through our stay here. The rooms are lovely and clean, and updated to modern expectations in an old building. Staff have been wonderful. Really good value for money. The only downside so far has been the restaurant (Louise Taverne &Bar a Vin). As we were checking in to the hotel this morning, other customers told us the place is lovely but not to eat here. We decided to go anyway, just wanting a drink while we waited for our laundry to dry… and we may have thought about eating there if all was ok. We were totally ignored, despite trying to attract the attention of the man in charge of the outside area (around a dozen tables, four of which were occupied). We asked someone else if we could sit down. They referred us to him. We waited while he cleaned a couple of tables, walked past us to talk to someone, walked inside and fiddled around in there for a while, walked out again and cleaned a couple more tables, went round us to get to another table where he rearranged the setting. Walked back to near where we were standing and then turned around to chat to some people he had served since we had been there. Don’t know what sort of self-important trip he was on but we left and will not return. But… that led to a delightful experience at 900 Rue Saint-Paul across the road (separate review coming).

Stayed for a night as a quick getaway from the kids. The hotel site is easy to reach from downtown Quebec with and surrounded by nature and the old Wendake village. The rooms are well-appointed and several touches from the Huron-Wendat people are spread around the hotel and the rooms. The fireplace in the lobby gives off a warm vibe to the arrival. Overall all the staff was very friendly and the room (119) was very spacious, clean and quiet. We also had dinner at La Traite were we tried several local dishes with the Bison smoked steak being the highlight of the evening, along with several cocktails with a indigenous twist. We took advantage of the private tour of the museum and were amazed by the guide's knowledge and enthusiasm. We got to know so many things that aren't taught in history classes and also enjoyed the interactive canoe building exhibit. Highly recommended to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but mostly to surround yourself with the indigenous history.

This place is really special. They have a gracious, energetic staff who provide attentive but unpretentious hospitality. Room was meticulously clean and the whole place is beautifully decorated. Location is great - it’s at the bottom of the big hill, in a relatively quiet part of the old town, however just a couple of blocks from the Petite Champlain (get up early to avoid crowds there - at 7am I took photos with no one in them and got a nice coffee). This was a splurge for me, but I won’t ever forget staying here.

The standard room are small, so if you have too many luggage it might be feel a bit tight. The staff was very professional, specially the lady working at the breakfast station. GGuest UserIt’s a nice hotel located in the Old City around the corner from a very popular restaurant street, Rue Saint-Jean. This street is a pedestrian mall most of the day & night and there are dozens of restaurants to choose. I had a large room overlooking the pedestrian street although there was an annoying support column in the middle of the room. Windows are double glazed so there is very little noise. The queen size bed (there were two in my room for a solo stay) was soft but comfortable. A good size bathroom with a big walk in shower. The room is decorated with a recent a modern design. Black is the popular colour. There is free wifi but it pretty slow which is very disappointing for a hotel of this standard.. The TV channel choices are also not great. Like many hotels at the moment there is minimal serving of the room. I stayed 5 nights and had my room serviced only once. And when it was serviced no replacement of bathroom accessories were left. I keep hearing that it is due to staff shortages because of Covid but when paying hundreds of dollars a night it is not unreasonable to expect a more regular service, maybe ever other night. One wonders whether it’s just another excuse to find a way of saving money by the hotel. Service generally at the hotel is not great. There is minimal staff on the front desk. And there are a mass of steps from the street to reception & it is difficult to find a person to help get suitcases up and down the stairs. Overall comfortable & convenient location but would have been even better with an upgrade in hotel service & a friendlier attitude overall.

GGuest UserThe staff here are extemporary, some of the best I have come across, including within top hotels. They were all professional, polite, friendly and helpful, all smiles and nothing was too much trouble. Advice on tourist spots, directions, where the locals eat etc was all given without prompting. We wanted a kettle for the room, they provided a flask to fill with hot water. Luggage was carried for us. Each and every one was constantly smiling. Catherine in particular was fantastic. Elevator not working (stairs with large suitcases was not good) Location: Need a taxi or 2 buses or 30 minutes (uphill) walk from Old Quebec. Pizza restaurant next door, Subway and local pub on Corner and supermarket just down road. Room. Clean and tidy. Housekeeping not available due to Covid (which didn't make sense - surely Covid a reason to be cleaner!) A little on small side. Breakfast - disappointing. Kitchen closed due to Covid still (although many others now open). An apple, Croissant & carton orange juice in a bag left a lot to be desired. Parking at the back (although we didn't use it). Swimming pool - not the best but perfectly adequate, warm (once you were in) and clean. Towels provided. Room, facilities and staff, yes I would use again - its value for money. Location put me off.

JJenny Kim1I liked the hotel location and facilities. The indoor pool was amazing and the live stage was so good. I would definitely visit here again and book the terrace view next time. However, there are few things that I was very dissapointed. The room was not managed well. There are white things are around the floors (it looks like painting or wall paper. I asked to change the room, but the new room has the same problem). Hair dryer was phsically broken and not working. Heater is not working and when I turn on, it is very noisy. There was a party when we stayed and it was very noisy until almost 1 pm. We called at 12:30 and the reception said they send a security. However, it was still noisy after 30 mins).
