GGuest UserWe booked this B&B on the first day we went to Xiandu. The proprietress was kind-hearted and provided excellent service. She not only arranged for us to cook tea and sing by the fire, but also arranged an itinerary for the next day, which was in the room. There was something wrong with the facilities. The boss said that the air conditioner had just been overhauled, but when we turned it on, it would emit a burning smell, which was a bit scary. It started to rain and cool down on the day we went, so we didn't dare to turn on the air conditioner in the afternoon. I turned on a heater and it was a bit cold! But when we turned on the air conditioner at night, the smell disappeared, and we didn't sleep cold at all. Another problem is that we booked a stargazing room in the attic. If we turn on the air conditioning downstairs, the attic upstairs will be very stuffy! Overall, the room was on the small side. We were two adults and two children, so we had a lot of luggage. There were no luggage racks or tables inside, so it was quite crowded to put things in.

GGuest UserThe owner was very kind and the whole family was very friendly. They even gave us two bags of local specialty sesame cakes before we left. However, the cleanliness could be improved. The cushions in the room were dirty. We had to wash the bedding ourselves. For this price, you get what you pay for in a tourist area. I suggest the owner put away items that are difficult to clean and maintain. Fewer items make cleaning easier and the room looks cleaner. The bath towels could be replaced with disposable ones.

After comparing numerous guesthouses, I finally settled on ”Niaoji,” the king of value for money—it's right next to Songyang Old Street, a vibrant and lively place to explore! A service experience that will delight anyone with attention to detail:
▪️ Received a call from staff confirming my arrival time before I even arrived.
▪️ A friendly staff member was waiting at the door to help me find parking and carry my luggage.
▪️ Breakfast was incredibly generous, a thoughtful combination of Chinese and Western options.
▪️ While playing a game of staring contest in the 24-hour lobby in the evening, the staff smiled and said, ”Go ahead and play, we won't bother you.”

✅ The guesthouse owner, Mr. Xu, gave me a handmade brown sugar gift—so sweet!
✅ The next day, we had afternoon tea and a special lunch at ”Fei Niaoji Niaoka” in Chenjiapu Village (turns out both are owned by the same person!). It is really not recommended to sleep at night as a famous accommodation. Too noisy. The car passing by at night drove to the manhole cover and went straight through my eardrum, and I liked to pick up the team. I was still eating on the first floor at 9 or 10 in the evening. I played mahjong on the 2nd floor. People heard it clearly on the 4th floor. The boss who cooks will also smoke and cook while cooking. The senses are uncomfortable, but the taste is good. The group pick-up at the hotel also caused no breakfast for guests staying. . . There are steamed buns, white porridge and pickles. The most uncomfortable thing is that the steamed buns that have not been eaten on the table of the guests will be taken back, put them in the steamer, and eaten for the next guest. . . The lights in the accommodation are bad, called repairs, and finally not repaired.
