"First, the positives: The hotel's public areas are truly stunning; the lobby's water feature is grand, and the breakfast offers a rich variety, covering almost all of Lishui's local specialties, which is fantastic! Also, when I called the front desk around 11 PM to ask if I could get a different pillow, their response was incredibly quick. An attendant brought a new pillow within 10 minutes – much appreciated! Now, for the negatives: The most glaring issue with this place is its terrible soundproofing. I specifically requested a high-floor, quiet room away from the elevators when booking, and reiterated this during check-in. However, despite being given a room on the 26th floor (the highest), none of my other requests were met. I was given the very first room right next to the elevator lobby. Even more amusing, the room next door was a 'Baoting' room, and a woman started screaming 'ah ah ah ah...' at 6 AM. It's not like the hotel was full either; we visited during a very quiet off-season, so they definitely could have spaced guests out. Another point: When checking in, I happened to arrive when a large group of about 20 people was checking in. Both front desk staff members were busy with the group and completely ignored individual guests. We were only attended to after insisting on using the member priority lane. The experience was really poor. For one of the best hotels in the area, it's surprising that they don't have a better system for handling both group and individual check-ins simultaneously."

"The experience was extremely, extremely, extremely bad. The first time I came here, I was given a room near the elevator. I didn't get a good rest for one night. The next day, they said they would change to a quieter room. Then, it was so noisy under the motor on the roof. After staying for two days, they changed to a standard room. I was already very dissatisfied with this hotel, and then I was going to change hotels. Because I didn't get a good rest, I said I would check out later and I would be charged for the time exceeding the free time. But I exceeded the free time by more than two hours and was charged for half a day. They forced me to stay for another day. Then, the auntie was washing the carpet outside when I was still sleepy. It was so noisy. I was really convinced. The hotel is old and broken. This price is considered a good hotel here, but the toothbrushes and combs are very old and ordinary. The hygiene is also average. You have to sleep with a full body comb, otherwise it will itch to death. In general, the experience is extremely bad!"

"I brought my family to Lishui this time and stayed at the Baoting Hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. Shirley Lei was professional and enthusiastic during check-in, making a great first impression. She thoughtfully offered slippers and toothbrushes for my child. We were given a room on the 17th floor, centrally located. After checking in, we went out to explore. When we returned in the evening, we found welcome fruits on the table, which was a very nice touch. The bedding was comfortable, and I slept soundly until morning (I had seen some reviews mentioning average soundproofing at Baoting, but my actual experience was excellent!). The courtyard, surrounded by greenery, is beautiful, and there were even live World Cup broadcasts in the evening. Enjoying a cocktail while watching football was incredibly relaxing. I also visited the swimming pool and gym on the fifth floor. I'll definitely consider staying at Baoting again the next time I visit Lishui."

"The breakfast was quite ample with fresh ingredients, and the tableware was simple yet elegant. From the 9th floor window, you can see a continuous range of mountains, like an ink wash painting of a blue-toned landscape from Jiangnan. The room facilities seem relatively new, and the mattress firmness was just right. The pillows were a little high. The room's color scheme was harmonious and natural, and the layout was comfortable. I especially liked the small round table, a perfect spot to have some tea and chat. There was one toothbrush left by the sink, which might have been left by housekeeping, so they should be a bit more careful with that. Overall, it's pretty good and offers great value for money."

It's the Chinese New Year, it's not that I can't afford your two bottles of water, but the difference from the courtesy I received in other hotels before is a bit too big. Not to mention that Kuangquan water is free, even the drinks and alcohol in the refrigerator are free. Drinking or not is one thing, and I feel that the respect I receive is too far away!
