"Clean tidy comfy bed and pillows. Pool is right at your door stop. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only down side was the night club next door was loud on the Saturday night. Lots of bass through the walls. But was a great stay."

"I stayed at the Civic Guesthouse before I got a room in Townsville. I felt that it was a really good place to manage. I used a four-person room, but it was not very uncomfortable because there were several shared toilets and bathrooms, and the staff were all friendly ㅎㅎㅎ I want to introduce you to my friends."

"The hotel located at the town area. Woolsworth is like 100 m pls away. Nothing to shout about on the breakfast but hotel staff is nice and friendly. We went opposite just outside woolsworth to hv brunch at sakana sushi bar. Enjoyed it"

"This was not our first stay and in the main it was good. We stayed twice on this trip with a stint on Magnetic Island in between. Service on our departure stay was while not bad was marred by the gentleman who was abrupt and less than enthusiastic about being helpful. We arrived in the morning knowing we couldn’t get in until later and were greeted by a friendly and helpful reception attendant. Who said we would let us know by text as soon as a room was available for us. We took that to mean if we could enter our room before the scheduled check in time we would get a message. We never got a message. In fact we had ran out of ways to entertain ourselves and keep cool with just under an hour to check in time. So we went to the reception to assign the room was ready and were grumpily informed our room wasn’t ready and that is why we had not had a text. We understood this could be the case but the summary dismissal was far from reasonable customer service. No apology given we had patiently waited for over four hours already. We waited in the lobby and watched as others were given rooms. Why we had to wait while others did not was given no explanation and made no senseh to us. When check in time came and went is when I had to contain myself. One thing for us to be shunned for being early but for them to tell our room was not available at the time the business had committed to was very frustrating. It showed they had no system and were unprepared to provide reasonable customer service. We waited patiently and thankfully not for much longer and maintained our positive countenance. Thank goodness the room was,while only on the first floor, the better of rooms we had stayed in and worth the wait had it been managed better. If it weren’t for the grumpy reception we would have rated this trip more highly. Hopefully this business can get its cleaning process and attitude to customers of male staff improved the location value and room would be highly recommended as is a little work to do."

"Great location, really helpful reception staff. Pool was nice, not that we used it too much being winter. New modern rooms with basic cutlery which was a nice touch! Pub downstairs was good!"

"We had a spacious room with lots of amenities including a fully equipped kitchen which was a nice surprise at such a low cost. However, a few of the facilities seemed in need of restoration, with the fan and A/C seeming outdated to the point of feeling unsafe, and the fire alarm half hanging off the ceiling with tape. Additionally, we had a problem with pests in our room, seeing lots of cockroaches and a couple of spiders over our 3 nights. It was also disappointing that such loud maintenance works were going on in the park from fairly early in the morning, which would have been okay if it was communicated to us prior to booking, however it was not. Overall, a good value room, but in need of some work and pest control."

"Stayed at this hotel and was very satisfied. The receptionist was warm and thoughtful and the check-in procedure was fast. The room is spacious and bright, the bathroom facilities are novel, and I will definitely choose this hotel next time!"

"Went to a live band concert (Dreams by Fleetwood Mac) and decided to book at the venue. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. Very clean and tidy in presentation. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and there were extra blankets and bedding, in the room so we did not have to ask for anything. The units were very secure and would totally stay there again."

"The hotel is a walking distance from the shopping center.They have a pub and a restau.Secured and free parling space at the bottom of our room."
