While the hotel certainly shows its age, it's still well-maintained and efficiently operated. Due to the original architectural design, my assigned room required a bit of a walk, but I actually saw it as a good workout! Guoqing Temple opens at 7 AM, and it's a pleasant 10-minute walk from the hotel. The early morning scenery along the path to the temple was breathtaking. After my visit, it was just right to head back to the hotel for breakfast. In the evening, after exploring the sights, I had dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. It was excellent!
