"A friend recommended this hotel, and our 2-night stay was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, right next to Wutaishan Bus Station. We could easily reach attractions like Wuye Temple, Shuxiang Temple, and Dailuo Ding by taking the free shuttle bus nearby. The hotel was very clean, had good heating, and the service was great. "I saw a lot of reviews complaining about poor hotel service before my trip, but I still decided to stay here! The main reason is that there aren't many reputable hotels on Wutai Mountain.
As an established five-star hotel, there were no welcome fruits. After checking in, I found the electronic scale in the room had no battery. The front desk phone was consistently unanswered. It took two reminders and over half an hour to get a buckwheat pillow delivered after I requested one. I booked a room with a view, but I was given a low-floor room where the view was just rooftops. I felt like I really didn't get my money's worth! The soundproofing in the room also wasn't great.
On the positive side, the hotel rooms are very spacious, clean, and hygienic! The restaurant service was excellent, and the breakfast was diverse and plentiful! The food tasted good! The restaurant staff were very friendly! I highly recommend the Wutai Mountain-themed afternoon tea!"

"The hotel rooms are very clean, new, and odorless. The hotel's location is very convenient for getting around, right next to Guanghua Temple. The scenic area shuttle bus stop is right in front of the hotel at the Guanghua Temple parking lot, making it easy to go to places like Taiyuan and Datong. Dining and parking are also very convenient around the hotel. All the staff are exceptionally enthusiastic and truly care about their guests.
Since we weren't driving this time, we ordered some fruits for making vows and other offerings online. We didn't realize that couriers in Wutaishan don't deliver to your door, and the pickup stations are all incredibly far away. To save us time, the hotel staff actively helped us pick up each and every package, even though each one was at a different, very distant pickup station. We were incredibly touched by their kindness! A huge thank you to the hotel owner and staff! This stay was an excellent experience! We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit."

It was my first time in Wutai Mountain and I wanted to stay close to the scenic area. I was so lucky to find this place. The hostess was so kind, patient, and gentle. She even helped me find a car when my flight was delayed. It was so dark when I arrived, and she still came to pick me up. So touching! 😹
This newly renovated B&B is impeccably clean and tidy. It's conveniently located to the scenic area, and the service is attentive. I'll stay here again next time I visit Wutai Mountain.
By the way, there's a large terrace upstairs, but unfortunately I was in a rush. I'll definitely come back to breathe in the Wutai Mountain air next time. The value for money is unbeatable."

GGuest UserWhen I was choosing accommodation in Wutai Mountain, this place immediately caught my eye.
The service was truly exceptional. Whether it was the butler or other staff members, everyone was incredibly enthusiastic. Any questions or requests were always addressed and resolved promptly.
The hotel environment is also very good. There are activities on the first floor that you can participate in, and the second floor even has a singing bowl space, which creates a very peaceful atmosphere.
We stayed in the 'Red Rattan Cane' room type, which offered a very expansive view. A fruit platter was delivered to our room every day, but it would be even better if the fruit selection were more carefully chosen – on the second day, the strawberries in the platter had mold on them 😧.
Breakfast was a semi-buffet. While the variety wasn't extensive, the taste felt very home-style, and the Wutai Mushroom and Pork Pancake was delicious! 🤤
During our three days in Wutai Mountain, we basically had all our meals at the hotel. The preserved egg and tofu was delicious and very unique. The meatball soup is perfect for those who prefer lighter flavors. Among the two hot pot options, I'd recommend the 'Special Warm Pot' more. In contrast, the 'Wutai Mushroom and Chicken Soup Hot Pot' mostly contained chicken bones, which was a bit disappointing 🤦♀️.

The room is fully equipped, the independent partition of the bathroom is very reasonable and practical, all small details are well served, and the staff at the B&B are attentive, warm, and very good.

My brother's feet were broken, but when I returned to Beijing, I was broken. Thanks to the boss's reminder, I must go to the hospital to check it. During the stay, the temples in the core scenic area of Wutai Mountain were almost all worshipped. When returning to the room, the boss will make up the water. It is very convenient to go to the core scenic area from the homestay. If there are Tibetans staying, it will be particularly lively.

GGuest UserThe room was cozy, and I loved the tatami-style decor. It was clean and hygienic. There was a beautiful welcome fruit. Breakfast was special oat noodles, which the kids loved. The inn also has a very cute little dog, who was very friendly. I took a walk in the nearby wild forest this morning; it was very peaceful. Mount Wutai itself is strangely bustling with people and cars, yet it never felt noisy. The inn is relatively secluded, but it's also conveniently located within walking distance of attractions. In the evening, there's a night market with a wide variety of affordable and quality goods, making for a great find.

GGuest UserI often come to Mount Wutai, and after seeing the recommendation from Ctrip, I booked a newly opened homestay: it is located in the most prosperous Yangbaiyu Service Area in the scenic area. The homestay is right there after you park your car nearby. The lighting on the first floor is a little blocked, but the second floor is bright and spacious, with antique decoration and exquisite details, much like the lay Buddhist building in a certain temple.
The room is decorated with solid wood, the linens are comfortable, it is a brand new room but has no smell, it has floor heating and is equipped with independent air conditioning, so you can control the temperature yourself. The boss, Xiao Dong, seems very down-to-earth. He recommends some routes, makes travel guides, and also provides tour guide services. However, since I come here so often, it is useless. The store offered tributes, and the boss personally took us to the Wuye Temple to burn incense. It was very good service, five stars for encouragement!

AAnonymous UserLocated near to Taiyuan town bus station. Can walk to the hotel from bus station, or if u tired of walking, can take the public bus from 普化寺 stop to 友谊路口 stop. (FOC, all public bus in Taiyuan Town does not need to pay bus fare). Only one bus stop to the hotel.
Very good location. Walking distance to the centre of Taiyuan Town temples. Cos, public buses sometimes are packed, Can choose walking if not tired. Traffic jam in the morning too.
Outside hotel is shopping street of the town. Hotel are near to 3 vegetarian restaurants. Can buy flowers baskets and fruits baskets from the shopping street flower n fruits stores if u wanna offering to Buddha. Flowers baskets are huge, price from RMB80. Fruits baskets RMB100. If buy from store outside temples, price might be more than shopping street price.
The hotel boss and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Always distributing bottles drinks to us when we leaving hotel.
Helped us book van to wutaishan mountain 5 terraces. And helped us book car for our one day trip out of the central, to the temples which are not so accessible by public buses (清凉寺，金阁寺, 竹林寺 and etc). Car booking half day trip is RMB300, full day RMB500. Recommended to book car, less walking up slope, driver can park car straight to temples car park.

The lady proprietor so efficiently and willingly planned the entire stay for us upon our arrival, booked (and paid on our behalf) the whole-day bus tour of all the 5 mountain sights, drove us to the starting bus depot, and even arrange our remaining private car routes to Pingyao, Taiyuan, Datong and Beijing. I absolutely recommend this place to stay, especially if you are foreigner and not familiar with Wutaishan, and all the logistics, you can be sure you will get all the help you need from this hotel, and your stay will be an enjoyable one.
