"While the location of this hotel was great, it was unfortunate during our stay that our nearest underground station was during maintenance and we could only take the replacement rail service, which was a lot slower. Otherwise the service was great and many amenities were given upon request. Overall very satisfactory stay."

"About 12 minutes walk from the subway entrance. The room is clean, large space, complete facilities, slightly poor sound insulation, and you need to bring your own slippers and toiletries.
Check-in at the front desk was inefficient and there were long queues of people waiting. The staff who gave me check-in first worked on what I had at hand, and made me wait for a long time. I asked her when she could check in and she told me to wait and I missed the appointment to visit the Capitol Dome. When checking out, another staff member was very welcoming and efficient."

"The location is great; however, the reception staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. There is no kettle in the room, which makes the stay less convenient, although hot water is available from the bartender at the lobby. I must say the bartender was very friendly and had a great attitude.
The room is very basic. On the positive side, the hotel is very conveniently located, less than three minutes from Berlin Train Station."

"Great hotel, good sized modern rooms only thing the tv’s doesn’t have a smart features. Only 1 out of 3 lifts are working so need to spend some time on waiting it and it’s get busy at some times. "First off, be aware that it's over a 15-minute walk from the nearest station. Since the streets are cobblestone, navigating with a wheeled suitcase can often be quite challenging. During the day, the area is bustling with pedestrians and traffic, and with many cafes and brand stores nearby, it's perfect for window shopping.
The building itself boasts a charming, retro ambiance that truly enhances the travel experience. The gentlemen at the front desk were cheerful and welcoming. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of options and was excellent value at just 10 euros.
My room was a corner unit with a street-facing balcony. It offered a satisfying location for watching the city life go by or simply observing the sky.
However, there was no refrigerator or kettle. Also, there's no air conditioning (though an oil heater and fan are provided). The bathroom features a compact, combined washbasin, toilet, and shower area. It was, however, clean.
One notable inconvenience was the TV reception; the picture would often disappear, pixelate, or freeze. Additionally, unlocking the room door was quite tricky and took some getting used to. Finally, the elevator has manual doors, a style uncommon in Japan, which might make you a bit nervous until you're accustomed to it."

"The breakfast spread was fantastic! Getting around was super convenient, with a subway station just a short walk away. Very clean and hygienic, comfortable temperature, spacious suite space, and kitchen, you can go to the supermarket to buy things and make a simple meal. The location is also very convenient, downstairs is the subway and bus stop. There are also several supermarket convenience stores. Very recommended! The front desk has fixed business hours, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance, otherwise no one will receive.
I have lived in a few old and small hotels in Europe before, and I am really surprised!

LLambert_I stayed at the nhow Hotel Berlin with friends for 6 nights around New Year's. While there were some positive aspects, overall, the experience felt quite inconsistent for a 4-star hotel.
The positives:
- The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
- Soundproofing between the rooms was good.
- The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
However, there were numerous issues that detracted from the experience:
- Reservation Mix-Up: I had specifically requested two single beds instead of a double bed, but this was not reflected in the room assignment upon arrival.
- Missing Amenities: Basic items in a hotel like bathrobes and slippers were missing from the room, and we were told to order them via room service. Unfortunately, the app didn’t work, and no one at the reception answered the phone despite multiple attempts on different days.
- Light and Noise Issues: While the rooms were soundproofed well from other rooms, we could hear everything happening in the hallway. Additionally, there was a gap under the door, letting light from the corridor into the room at night, which made it impossible to have complete darkness.
- Wellness Area: The wellness area was underwhelming. There was no jacuzzi, only a sauna and a hammam, and the hammam was out of service. The gym locker room lights stopped working after a certain time, and towels were unavailable later in the day.
- Misleading Information: A brochure in the room mentioned that phone chargers were available via room service. However, we were told at the reception that these were no longer provided for free and had to be purchased for €20.
While the hotel wasn’t bad overall, these recurring small issues added up and left us feeling that the service didn’t meet the expectations for a 4-star establishment. It’s a shame because we did enjoy our stay to some extent, but the lack of attention to detail was disappointing.
If I return to Berlin, I won’t rule out staying here again, but I’ll definitely check other options first.

GGuest UserUnfortunately, the pool was closed and the sauna was required to login and the sauna area was able to use just 1 hour. The opening hours of the sauna from 14:00 to 20:00 on weekends are absolutely unacceptable for such a luxury hotel. We were very angry about it. When booking we have not received any information about the time in the spa is so regulated and it is completely closed in the pool area. At the reception, we received information that the pool was closed due to energy saving measures and also lacked staff. We believe that then the overnight prices must be adjusted accordingly if a significant part of the services cannot be provided. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy our stay as we intended!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the city center, and transportation is the biggest plus. The light rail and subway are right in front of the hotel and very close to the city center. The single room I booked was an attic room with a sloping roof and an area of less than 15 square meters. It was a little cramped and depressing when I checked in.
The front desk service is good, professional and enthusiastic. The room price is more than 900 per night. I feel that the price/performance ratio is not high. If I come to Berlin again, I probably won't stay here again.

The lounge access was expensive, and did not have much in terms of choices of beverages and looked shabby. They are in the midst of renovating/relocating the lounge, based on some posters, so it may improve in the future?
Did not allow earlier check in, though they allowed the luggage to be deposited until then.
Breakfast spread was good, but no rotation, and same throughout the 4 mornings I stayed.
Location is good, near museum island and shopping and historical landmarks.

The room is of good size for a hotel room in a major capital city. Buffet breakfast is good but would be even better if some varieties can be introduced on different days. Overall, a good choice hotel for tourists.

GGuest UserWonderful hotel with great rooms, very stylish and good facilities. The breakfast is great, in the evening there is a DJ in the courtyard and the service and attentiveness of the staff is very good.
The Stue is fully recommended and we would be happy to come back next time we are in Berlin.

GGeiorgiestravelsThis is a very big hostel with hundreds of beds, though it did not feel cramped or loud. I had a quiet stay.
I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed dorm with three bunk beds and en-suite. The toilet and shower are separate which makes use easier. Hanson’s and shower gel is included, as is a hairdryer.
The room is spacious with tables and seating areas, this is also of use to those who on the top bunk who cannot sit on their bed as easily. There is a mirror though a lack of hooks being only a hook and couple of hangers. The bed is of a metal frame and thus I was able to apply my travel straps and hooks to create places to hand my coat and bag. There is a locker big enough to take hand luggage sized bag (own lock needed). The bed has a usb port for charging and a slot into which a phone will fit, though no individual light. The room has two lights and it is possible to turn on only one; the other people in my room came in and out at unsociable hours though we’re all respectful being quiet and also putting in the main light.
The mattress and pillow are comfy enough, you need to collect linen and make the bed yourself.
Everything was clean.
Reception is 24 hours though checking us via one of the 4 automated screens. It is through the machines that you do check in and pay tourist tax and the machine prints paper with your allocated room and bed number. You even activate the room card yourself. There is a sign in the desk with a map of blocks with room numbers in each one. That is all the welcome that you get; there is no explanation related to hostel layout or facilities. I had to ask in which direction to go to get to my block, the receptionist gave my directions and once I got to the room and found no bedding on the bed so went back to reception. The check in computer screen states that bed linen is provided free of charge and towels can be paid for at reception. The receptionist did not give me any bedding nor point to where to where to pick it up some thus I assumed the linen would be laid on the bed as in other hostels. The next day a person arriving in the room asked where he gets bed linen, he also did not get given any bedding even when talking with the receptionist. I do find it odd that you are expected to ask for the bedding: as this is the case I recommend updating the wording on the computer screen as it is ambiguous and gives the impression you only need to ask at reception if needing a towel.
There is a guest kitchen which has basic equipment: fridge, sink, microwave, 2 hot plates, 2 frying pans, 1 saucepan, some plates, bowls and some cutlery. There was one mug in which I made a cup of tea by heating water in the microwave. I recommend a kettle to boil water. The kitchen is sufficient for simple meals, making breakfast and sandwiches. I did not try the hostel breakfast.
There is one common area near reception with a bar and possibility to purchase food. Vending machines there. WiFi reliable. The common room can feel cramped when groups are there. There is good security as all entrance doors and lifts use card access. To access the guest kitchen ask at reception and they update your card.
The location is very good being 5 min walk from Ostkreuz train station. It is a direct line to Messe Nord where the bus station and FlixBus stop is. Easy to get public transportation into the cities. There are many shops, supermarkets and eating places nearby. Vegan kebab shop directly opposite.
Good value for money. I had a comfortable stay with no difficulties and I would stay again.

GGuest UserThey provided a late check-in which was super convenient. The room was quite cosy and the bed could be small for a huge person (bunk-bed in a 4 person dormitory). For me, it was perfect for a few hours of sleep.
The bathrooms and washrooms are shared and accessible separately outside the rooms. Very clean and comfortable stalls for a nice shower.
The breakfast didn't have a lot of vegetarian options and it was a small spread, but enough for a quick bite in the morning.
The staff is all helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay for a short time and on a budget.
The location was also very convenient to reach from the S bahn and tram station.
