"This beachfront resort is perfect for families with kids! Nanyi, our butler, was incredibly responsive and always ready to help with any issues. The hotel has three well-distributed swimming pools, making it the only hotel in Beihai with so many. The rooftop pool offers stunning ocean views. The adorable and gentle animals in the pet park were a hit, and the 24-hour self-service laundry room was a lifesaver for tackling piles of dirty clothes when traveling with children. Overall, a great experience."

"Extremely clean and tidy! The lobby, restaurant, and rooms are all very spacious. The buffet breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully served until 10:30 AM 😭. It's very close to Silver Beach, and you can see the sea right from the hotel window. There's a foot-rinsing station conveniently located at the beach exit. The hotel boasts both indoor and outdoor pools. The staff were all so gentle and patient. Both days we stayed in Beihai, it rained during the day, but we still had plenty to do and enjoy within the hotel. Excellent value for money!"

During peak seasons like holidays and weekends, it's advisable to plan ahead as prices will be more reasonable; last-minute bookings tend to be more expensive and subject to price fluctuations. ✨Environment: The hotel is right by Silver Beach, with a private walkway directly to the sand and convenient foot-washing stations at the entrance. The landscaping creates a wonderful seaside ambiance, and the outdoor pool faces the ocean directly. Our room on the 15th floor to the east offered expansive balcony views, though it could be quite windy by the sea. 🧼Hygiene: The hotel generally maintains Marriott's high standards. Housekeeping was meticulous, the bedding was clean and fluffy, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Cleaning in the public pools and lounge areas was prompt. 🛎️Service: Most staff members were proactive and polite, with quick responses from concierge and front desk. Check-in on Friday evening at 5 PM was a bit slow, taking about an hour, but check-out was efficient. The breakfast selection was standard, and the dining environment was decent. 🛏️Facilities: The hotel is relatively new, with excellent quality hardware. The rooms are well-equipped, and the indoor and outdoor pools, 24-hour gym, and kids' club make it perfect for vacations and families. 🚗Transportation: Located in the heart of Silver Beach, the back entrance provides very convenient access to the beach. It's a short drive to Qiaogang and the International Passenger Port for trips to Weizhou Island. Getting to the high-speed rail station or Fucheng Airport takes about 20-30 minutes. Taxis are easily available right outside the hotel. Overall, it's a hassle-free and consistently high-quality choice for a Silver Beach vacation, ideal for travelers who want to relax and enjoy sea views right outside their door. I recommend booking in advance for better prices, as last-minute bookings are pricier and prone to fluctuations. It's worth comparing prices across different platforms."

"I was hesitant when researching, but after visiting, I'm absolutely certain I'll stay here again. It's super new; I asked the housekeeper and found out it just opened in June, hence the lack of reviews. The hotel's facilities are divided into Buildings A, B, and C, like a creative community. You can have lunch and afternoon tea all in one place without leaving. We were four people and stayed in a family room with a sunset bubble pool. After looking around, we realized there weren't many hotels where four people could share a room, so we decided on this one. There's afternoon tea upon check-in, and also in the lobby, available in both Buildings B and C. We had dinner at Makana in Building B, which I highly recommend. You can reserve a window seat in advance; there aren't many recommendations on Dianping (a Chinese review platform), so I was initially worried it might be bad, but we were very satisfied with the meal. It's similar to a bistro. Building C has shops selling porcelain and offering delivery services. We also found a shop selling niche earrings (SALE E PEPE). Overall, the service was excellent, and the toiletries were all from the brand. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the pier for a boat ride, which takes less than 10 minutes."

"I was very satisfied with this stay at the Sheraton Guantouling. It's much quieter and less crowded than Silver Beach. Plus, it's located directly to the west, so the sunset views are absolutely stunning. Ella provided warm service throughout our stay, and she was very responsive to any requests or inquiries. Traveling with children, the family room was very convenient. The breakfast had a good variety of fresh options. There were also various kids' activities like sand art, drink making, and sandwich making. Highly recommended!"

"Having stayed in numerous hotels both domestically and internationally, the Shangri-La Beihai stands out as the best experience we've ever had. Right behind the hotel is Golden Beach, perfect for stunning sunset views, and if the tide is right, you can even go clam digging. Our dedicated butler, Lily, provided excellent service throughout our stay, promptly assisting with both travel inquiries and daily needs. Last night, during afternoon tea, my husband, who has sensitive teeth, was kindly offered a bowl of very soft noodles specially prepared by Lily. The attention to detail in their service is truly impressive. This hotel is ideal for both short trips and relaxing getaways. I'll definitely recommend it to friends and look forward to coming back!"

"I stayed 2 nights at Shangri-La, 2 nights at a B&B, and this was the last stop, so here's my overall review. Pros: 1. Newly renovated with new facilities, all top brands, and excellent hardware. 2. Right next to Silver Beach, very close to the sea, and easy access through the back gate. 3. Great room layout with a balcony, convenient for drying clothes. Cons: 1. The slide is unsafe. My child got injured and bled after going down it once. This is a deal-breaker; basic safety wasn't ensured. Luckily, it was on the last two days, otherwise, our whole vacation would have been ruined (although they offered a kids' playground activity as compensation, I'd much rather my child be safe. I still have to face criticism back home). 2. The hotel lacks depth. The swimming pool area has young trees and gets direct sun, so it's practically unusable during the day. The staff is younger than Shangri-La's, which is a plus, but something still feels off, probably due to a lack of experience. 3. There's ongoing construction nearby, and the entrance isn't enclosed, so it's a bit noisy during the day. If I had to choose again, I'd prefer an older brand, even if the hardware isn't as good. This hotel was pricier but offered the worst experience."

"This stay exceeded my expectations. Xiao Xian at the front desk and Xiao Qiang, the concierge, were both incredibly attentive and patient. The room was clean and tidy, with good natural light and ventilation, and the soft bedding ensured a very comfortable sleep. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, a kids' playground, a gym, and a laundry room on the first floor. Plus, you can book sea-foraging activities, making the overall value for money excellent. The hotel even offers a free shuttle bus to Silver Beach Pier, which makes getting around very convenient. This hotel truly takes the stress out of travel and accommodation. "My bestie and I were looking for a fun getaway, and this time, we really hit the jackpot! The new OZO hotel is right by the beach – literally, a few steps and your toes are in the sand. Around 3 PM, we rented a scooter and zipped over to Nanwan Street, picked up a bag of fresh seafood, and brought it back for the hotel kitchen to cook for us. With two ice-cold beers, the sea breeze, and us slurping on shrimp shells, it was pure bliss – even gods wouldn't trade places with us! After stuffing ourselves, we decided to book a spa to help us digest. I ended up falling fast asleep during the massage, and the therapist even quietly covered me with a blanket – so thoughtful! The front desk staff was also great; they helped us get a really nice, clean room that was super comfortable. But the absolute highlight was around 5 PM, when we just ambled out in our flip-flops and stumbled upon a breathtaking 'Orange Sea' sunset. We were so mesmerized and just gushing, we completely forgot to pull out our phones to take pictures. Oh well, no worries – we're definitely coming back here with our crew next time!"
