"The location is fantastic! You step right out of the hotel onto Silver Beach. It's really thoughtful that they have foot-washing facilities at the entrances/exits since there aren't any public ones on the beach itself. And there's one thing that really surprised me! I needed a computer for work and wasn't expecting much, as most hotels don't offer them. But after I called, the front desk immediately arranged for someone to bring a laptop up to my room and told me to just call them when I was done. I used to always stay at Wyndham when I came to Beihai for business, but from now on, this will be my go-to place!"

"The hotel is ideally located near Silver Beach, within walking distance to the sand. The beach is uncrowded and clean, and the sea-view rooms offer expansive views with balconies directly facing the ocean, perfect for enjoying spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The hotel boasts beautiful surroundings with lush greenery. Facilities are comprehensive, including indoor and outdoor pools and a children's playground, making it ideal for family activities. There's a wide variety of engaging programs for kids, all thoughtfully arranged. The hotel even provides complimentary sand-digging tools, which is great for families. The buffet breakfast is extensive, offering a diverse selection of delicious dishes. What truly stood out was the service; staff at every touchpoint were incredibly nice and accommodating, making our entire holiday a joy. "It takes about ten minutes to get here from the train station. The hotel is located in Beihai Golden Beach, very close to the sea. The room I booked was spacious and well-laid out. It's very convenient for getting around the area. Dining at the hotel is also easy, with various food options available. The service was very warm and welcoming. The hotel environment is also excellent, a top choice for a relaxing vacation! 😂 All in all, highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance."

"Overall, it was a good experience! We checked in on the third day of our family trip from Yunnan. It's quite convenient if you're driving, and there were a good number of guests. We arrived around 3:30 PM for check-in. It was a bit slow, as mentioned in other reviews, but the front desk staff were very polite. We also met Yuki, the hotel's GRO, at the front desk, who was very enthusiastic and proactively introduced us to the hotel and surrounding area. Because of the slight delay (only about ten minutes), she even upgraded our room type. The front desk staff also helped us with our luggage to the room. The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, though it's a bit small and irregularly shaped. Breakfast was decent, and there's a buffet dinner on weekends (for an additional charge). You can get to the beach by exiting through the small gate next to the swimming pool, then turning left down a slope for about a hundred meters, then turning right and going down about a dozen steps. However, the sand is quite coarse, and it's crowded. Personally, I don't think it's as fun as Silver Beach, and you can't go into the water, but the scenery is nice on a clear day. Downsides: 1. One side of the barrier separating the swimming pool from the children's area was detached and very sharp, posing a safety hazard. 2. The hairdryer in the room was an old model; a hotel of this caliber should have a bladeless one. 3. The parking garage elevator doesn't seem to connect directly to the hotel rooms (or maybe I just couldn't find another route), which made it inconvenient to retrieve things from the car."

"The room directly faces Silver Beach, offering unparalleled views, and you can also glimpse the Ferris wheel in the distance from the other side, which is a nice touch. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a children's play area. The large green space is perfect for soccer and badminton, though we didn't have time to try feeding the small animals this trip. It's truly ideal for kids. Just a heads-up: the beach right in front of the hotel is great for foraging during low tide. If you want to swim, you'll need to walk a little further to the right, but it's still very close."

"I brought my baby to Beihai during the summer vacation and actually lived in my ”life hotel”! This is a newly opened hotel in 26 years, new to reflective! Don't worry about aging facilities at all, from bathroom to bedding are top-notch! The design of the whole hotel is very stylish, minimalist and quiet wind integrates the ocean elements, the artistic sense is full, and it is like visiting an art exhibition in any corner. You can shoot a holiday blockbuster without leaving the hotel! The scenery outside the hotel is even more beautiful. I feel that I have moved in directly. Coconut groves, beaches, lawns, the key is the forest pool. The water quality is clear to see every tile at the bottom of the pool. I feel that my eyes have done a SPA. The intimate butler service is superb, from the shuttle bus, the ice towel on the hotel to the hotel room introduction, good night sweet soup, turndown service, details control is taken to death. In short, SOWN Song Seaview Resort is definitely a high-value holiday ceiling in Beihai. If you also love to take pictures, love clean, and love to see the sea, it is right!"

"Highly recommend the pool access room! You can literally step out directly into the infinity pool – the experience is absolutely incredible. From booking to check-out, their response time was unbelievably fast, and the staff were friendly and always willing to help, no complaints whatsoever. The room even came with a thoughtful welcome package, including a fan, mosquito repellent spray, mosquito repellent bracelets, hair ties, a sun umbrella, and aloe vera gel – you can take it all with you! The breakfast menu changes daily, and you can order whatever you like. Afternoon tea and bedtime stews were delicious and could be delivered right to the room. The mini-bar was fully stocked with drinks, beer, sparkling water, and snacks, so there was no need to buy anything ourselves. Every photo taken at the hotel turns out stunning – 100% Instagrammable!"

"This stay was on the night before leaving Beihai at the end of our trip. The Wyndham's room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was also excellent. When we checked out, the staff enthusiastically helped us with our luggage to the car, so the service was great. The only downside was that the hairdryer in the room was very old-fashioned, making for a very unpleasant experience. I suggest they update it immediately to keep up with the times. (The other hotels we stayed at in Beihai and Weizhou Island all had Dyson hairdryers.) In comparison, this one felt very subpar and didn't match the hotel's positioning."

"For this May Day holiday, I chose the Shangri-La Hotel, and as an established hotel, the service was indeed excellent. Long before our arrival, they assigned Ivy, our butler, to assist us with various arrangements, making our check-in incredibly smooth. The hotel breakfast also has a children's area, though it's a bit small. Throughout our stay, any questions we had were answered promptly, and they even helped us book children's activities and a travel photoshoot."

"First off: The facilities are great, definitely living up to its reputation as a top family-friendly hotel. It's right by the beach, with an excellent location and comprehensive amenities. However, the service staff left a bit to be desired. 1. When checking in, I asked how often the pool water is changed. They immediately said daily. When I pressed for specific times, they couldn't answer and later called back to say it's continuously filtered. Their attitude was good, but the answer felt overly perfunctory and dismissive. 2. The check-in guide stated breakfast hours were 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM. However, when I went at 9:40 AM, they were already clearing the hot food section. The restaurant staff told me that 10:30 AM is only for weekends, and it's 10:00 AM on other days. This misinformation significantly impacted my experience. 3. On the second morning, even with the hotel fully booked and me waiting for half an hour for a table at 9:30 AM, they started clearing breakfast around 10:10 AM. It felt very rigid. 4. When my room was cleaned for the extended stay, I found a discount coupon for the buffet dinner. However, when I asked at the front desk, they said it wasn't open and was only available on weekends. Yet, when I went to the restaurant that evening, it was open as usual. 5. During both check-in and check-out, no one asked if I was driving or needed my license plate registered. Consequently, I was stuck at the parking gate when checking out on the third day. 6. The second day's complimentary fruit platter was being delivered to other rooms while we were out, but we didn't receive ours when we returned. 7. The air conditioning was excessively noisy and couldn't be adjusted for temperature or fan speed; it was just an on/off switch for centralized control. 8. When I ordered takeout, the delivery driver said a hotel robot would bring it. After waiting over twenty minutes without receiving it, I finally went to the takeout shelf to pick it up myself. My cold drink was almost warm by then. Oh, and one more thing: the Haagen-Dazs ice cream scoops at the afternoon tea, while not expensive, were full of ice chips when served. My child, who loves ice cream, ate it for two days like that..."
