"I stayed here at the beginning of my 20 day self-driving road trip around Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. This stay was a perfect way to start my trip. The welcome and hospitality from the stay was very much appreciated. The room was comfortable and warm, with everything I needed. Breakfast was very tasty. The accomodation has coffee at reception if you drink it, but it is an extra cost. I rented a Tank 300 for my trip and was uncertain how it would perform in the low temperatures. So, I messaged the boss if I could use his garage. When I arrived, it was waiting for me for 50 RMB a night. I parked up and had my own garage for 2 nights. The location is the other side of the river from the town centre. The walk is peaceful, the river in its frozen form is very nice and can be walked on or along. There are plenty of restaurants next to the hotel too, and the boss recommended some to me when I arrived. One improvement would be to tidy up after the dogs/cats outside. It can be seen and smelt and would be better if it was cleaned up. I am now nearing the end of my trip. I have driven thousands of kilometres, visited many towns and villages and met many guesthouse, hotel and hostel owners. Yet I will always remember the start of my journey at this guesthouse fondly. "Traveling with my family on a road trip to the border, there was some road construction along the way. Arctic Village was a bit barren this season, but it was incredibly peaceful. I saw strawberries growing in the garden, but unfortunately couldn't pick any. Since it was the off-season, we got upgraded to a large room. The accommodations were fantastic; both my mom and my little one said they'd stay here again if we come back in winter. Hope to see you again in winter!"

"Let me start by saying that the overall management and service in Beijicun were utterly appalling. Hotel service? Forget about it. The cleanliness was shocking. The TV was broken, the toilet seat was damaged, and the shower head was faulty. The staff's response was that they couldn't do anything about it because 'it's always been broken'... The towels were so stained you couldn't tell their original color, and to make matters worse, the sheets and duvet covers were also a dingy yellow. After traveling through the three northeastern provinces and then Inner Mongolia, Beijicun was by far the worst place I encountered."

"The hotel is grand, the rooms are spacious, the service is very good, the toilet was blocked at night, and someone was sent to unclog it immediately after calling. It was booked from Ctrip and was delivered to the airport for free. Thumbs up!"
