Outstanding
GGuest UserVery atmospheric and cozy ryokan. Traditional style room and majestic mountains view are breathtaking.
The food is fantastic, you dine privately in peace and also provided with unlimited amount of drinks for 90 minutes.
There are private and common (men/women) baths available. Water temperature is comfortable and magically washes away your fatigue.
Personnel is kind and helpful, they used translator to explain everything to me.
I was provided with shuttle bus on check-in and check-out to nearby station (kawaryo onsen station).
This place is perfect if you want to detox from city bustle and cleanse your thoughts.
Nearby konbini is 1h away on foot (or 15 min on car) so I advise you to stock up your supplies in advance if you need any.
GGuest UserWe had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, patiently waiting for us despite our late arrival and proactively reaching out via email to ensure everything was set. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful with a natural charm, and the onsen was a delightful experience. The beds were also wonderfully comfortable, making our stay truly relaxing. Highly recommend this gem!
KKidddThe hot spring hotel is very close to Yubatake. The Yubatake is beautiful at night. The hotel's Keishi cuisine is delicious and well presented. There is also a QR code for breakfast and dinner to let you scan and explain what each dish is. They are very attentive. The hot springs are also very comfortable. They are switched between morning and evening, so you can soak in the hot springs on both sides. The waiters were very nice and provided warm hospitality. I will definitely stay here again next time I have the opportunity.
NNMVOur overnight stay at this hotel in Kusatsu was simply the best we've experienced in Japan. We arrived a bit early and we were allowed to check in before 3 as there was a room available. The service was excellent, and the room was spacious, complete with all the amenities we needed. Although the shower was located downstairs in the private onsen, it was never crowded, and I had the onsen all to myself. The hotel also provided us with yukatas, adding a lovely traditional touch to our stay.
Breakfast was served in our room in the morning, and the staff graciously accommodated our request to change the breakfast time, as we wanted to visit an onsen that opened at 9 AM. The hotel was impeccably clean, and we slept like babies that night.
I would love to stay here again on our next visit to Kusatsu. ăšăŠăèŻăæă§ăăăæéŁă đâ€ïž
FFionaFengOverall, Kizunoniwa is definitely better than Konoha. Dinner was a delicious Japanese meal served in a private dining room, and breakfast was also good. My only minor complaint was that the rice wasn't quite up to Japanese standards.
The location is quite far out. If you're heading to Ueno Station in the city, leaving the hotel at 9 AM and having a smooth journey, you'd likely arrive around 1 PM. The hotel shuttle takes ten minutes to the bus stop, then it's an hour and a half by bus to Karuizawa, and another hour-plus from Karuizawa to Ueno. The main delays are due to waiting for various connection times.
It snowed on our second day, which was truly beautiful.
I'd love to come back during autumn leaf season if possible.
DDabby RagasaWe drove up to Manza Ski Resort. It wasnât difficult to find but because of adverse weather conditions, we had to take the longer route.
The Princes Hotel were accommodating, had good amenities for a hotel located high up in the mountains. It could do with a slight renovation, as there were leaks coming from the ceiling of the hallways.
The breakfast and dinner selection which were provided by the hotel were of decent selection. The highest onsen in Japan according to locals and our Japanese friend.
Better check out before the 10 AM time, otherwise a long form of queue awaits you at the reception.
A beautiful experience of outdoor snow and mineralised hot Onsen.
AAlc101Absolutely beautiful location and multiple hot spring options! The buffet breakfast was exquisite as well ask the multi-course dinner. Sadly we only were able to stay one night but waking up in morning to see beautiful flurries of snow surrounded by mountains was much more magical and memorable than I imagined! During our stay, I even lost my camera and the staff were so kind to go down the mountain and mail it to me at the airport, speak Japanese to the staff at the airport to help me find it and I am forever grateful for their kindness and service. If I lost my camera I wouldâve lost all my photos and videos of the trip! The staff speak Chinese and fluent English and so it was really easy to communicate with them. Will definitely come back!! Thank you Shima Tamura!
GGuest UserThe hotel is not far from the Kusatsu central area, about an 8-minute walk from the Kusatsu bus stop. I had booked a tatami room, but was given a twin room instead. The room was spacious with windows on two sides. The hotel's large public bath was spacious, although the outdoor pool was a bit small, only accommodating 3-4 people. Dinner was Japanese cuisine, but the variety and portions were limited, and the ingredients weren't particularly special. The staff were polite, and there was a shuttle bus to the Kusatsu bus stop. Overall, the price is worth comparing with other options before making a decision.
GGuest UserBooked the Japanese style room with toilet. Shower room has to be shared on the 2nd floor. Room has no amenities at all. Basic hair dryer and hot flask are in the communal area. We had to set up the bed ourselves. Room was dusty and was freezing cold even tho there was heater from the air con on winterâs night. Thereâs instructions to learn how to kill the stink bugs. The hotel facilities are good but the overall experience wasnât good.
