"I like the location — it’s only 5 minutes to Sakae Station and 10 minutes to the airport limousine bus terminal (Oasis 21). There are lots of restaurants, 24/7 convenience stores, supermarkets, and even tax-free shops where you can find almost everything you need.
From NGO Airport, you can take the limousine bus and get off at the Nagoya Tokyu Hotel stop — it’s just a 1-minute walk to the hotel. However, when going back to the airport, you need to take the bus from Oasis 21. If you have a lot of luggage, I recommend walking on the street instead of using the subway route.
The staff are generally good, but some are not very nice."
"The room had three single beds, which were quite comfortable. However, it was clear the triple room was originally a twin room with an added bed, not designed as a triple from the start, as it was so cramped there was no space to open our luggage.
The view was excellent, which is definitely the highlight of this hotel. Being able to overlook the Nagoya night view and lying in bed watching the city lights was a real mood booster.
There's a 'SPA room' at the hotel, but it's really just a public bath, and a very small one at that. There weren't even towels available, which made drying off inconvenient. There are no actual spa services; it's just a bathhouse.
The restaurant is on the 18th floor (the lobby level) and also offers great views. Breakfast is a set meal (one dish per person) supplemented by a buffet of side dishes. The pastries were good.
This Mitsui hotel is located in the Symphony Toyota Building. On the ground floor, just off the elevators, there's a door that leads directly to the underground mall. This underground passage connects all the shopping areas around Nagoya Station and also goes straight to Kintetsu and Meitetsu Nagoya Stations. It's much more convenient to use the underground path if you're heading to the station (be sure to ask the front desk for a paper map, as the wall maps don't have English, and it's easy to get lost underground if you can't read Katakana and go the wrong way)."
"This was our second stay at JR Gate Tower Hotel Nagoya, and it's fantastic. The hotel is located right above Nagoya Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. They even have a kids' play area on the 7th floor! The lobby is super modern, and the front desk staff are really welcoming and enthusiastic. Our room was clean and tidy, with a great separation between the shower and toilet/sink area, and the toiletries were from POLA. It's such a great hotel, we'll definitely be staying here again in the future."
"First of all, a big thank you to those who've stayed here before and shared their insights! This hotel's location is perfect for a short trip (two or three days). You can take a direct bus from the airport to Sakae Station (check your flight arrival time, add immigration time, plus a one-hour time difference; if the bus schedule lines up nicely – they run every two hours – then the bus is a good option). From Sakae, it's less than a ten-minute walk (just around the corner). Going to the Sakae shopping district (just across the street from the hotel, a ten-minute walk) for food (Ichiran Ramen, Hitsumabushi unagi) is very convenient. For getting around by subway (Sakae Station is a five-minute walk, roughly halfway between the airport bus drop-off and the hotel), reaching Nagoya Castle or Nagoya Station (the transportation hub for buses to Takayama) is only two stops away (note: these are on two different subway lines and in two different directions, but easily identifiable in the Sakae underground mall). I recommend buying a subway day pass (valid for 24 hours from your first entry) and grouping your subway trips together; it's very economical. The hotel overall and the rooms aren't large (typical for this type of hotel in Japan) and it's a bit older, but the service and in-room amenities are still perfectly adequate. The breakfast doesn't vary much day-to-day, but there's enough variety, and the quality is pretty good. Coffee is available in the lobby at all times, and donuts are offered in the afternoon. I hope this helps others!"
"Nice location just 7-8 minutes walk from Nagoya station. Spacious single room with good amenities inside the room. Good quality buffet breakfast & hotel provides onsen spa facility. Highly recommended."
"The hotel is located near Nagoya Sakae Station, about a 3-minute walk after exiting the station. It offers incredible value for money. Firstly, its downtown location provides excellent transportation links. Secondly, the hotel's facade and decor are so impressive that I had to double-check several times upon arrival to confirm it was indeed the hotel I booked. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were sufficient. While breakfast isn't included, there's a great restaurant in the hotel lobby, and Sakae Station and its surroundings boast numerous restaurants and shops, making it very convenient."
"The hotel's location is great and it's still affordable, even though the price has doubled since last year. It's still a good deal, and I'd stay here again on my next trip to Nagoya. It's super convenient for getting anywhere!"
"This hotel is located between Sakae and Nagoya Station. For those who travel light and move fast, you can easily walk to both. If you're traveling with kids who can't walk as far, a taxi ride is very short. The room is fully equipped, not only with a hairdryer but also a flat iron. They even provide children's toiletries. The front desk staff explained all the check-in procedures very clearly, and they offer Chinese language service (it feels like the front desk staff speaks every language!). I also saw a staff member immediately help a guest who was carrying two coffees by pressing the elevator button and scanning their card, asking for their floor (very observant and proactive). It's a great hotel! The semi-buffet breakfast is also excellent."
"Although the room size isn't huge, it's quite acceptable for a major city like Nagoya. Every day, after returning to the hotel, I could relax in the large public bath on the rooftop, which really helped to relieve the day's fatigue. Since I didn't use the room's bathroom, I put my suitcase in there, which effectively increased the usable space in the bedroom. Plus, the hotel provides DHC cosmetics for free, which is definitely a highlight. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sakae commercial district, Oasis 21, and Nagoya TV Tower. Nagoya Castle is only about a 15-minute walk away. For dinner, if you turn right out of the hotel and walk for about 5 minutes, you'll find an underground shopping street beneath the Nagoya TV Tower with all sorts of restaurants and a food supermarket. There's also a convenient store right outside the hotel. While the breakfast selection isn't incredibly diverse, I particularly enjoyed the unagi don (eel rice bowl) and ramen. The staff were very enthusiastic. Choosing this hotel for my stay was definitely a smart decision."
"Overall, it was a great stay, and I would choose this place again if I come to Nagoya in the future.
The facilities are well-equipped, and the check-in and check-out experience was convenient, comfortable, modern, and efficient. Everything is handled by machines, and the room key can be added to Apple/Google Wallet. The laundry room was also very functional.
The design is simple, premium, and beautiful. From the interior design to the graphic visuals, everything was aesthetically pleasing – I really loved it.
In terms of space, although the area is small, it has everything you need and is very efficient for storage. From the shelves to the pegboard next to the bed and the luggage rack under the bed, there's virtually no wasted space. The clever design makes the mere 12 square meters not feel too cramped, and there are many thoughtful details.
The location is excellent, with two subway stations and several bus stops nearby, making it convenient to get anywhere. It's one stop away from both Nagoya Station and Sakae Station, which I personally prefer because the neighborhood isn't as noisy, and transfers aren't much more troublesome.
As for the price, the value for money is super high!
The only minor drawbacks: The soundproofing is quite poor. When the window is open, conversations from outside can be heard loudly due to the small building distance. In the quiet of the late night, you can occasionally hear sounds from next door. In the morning, service staff start cleaning quite early, so there's some continuous noise from the corridor."

AAnonymous UserThe location is absolutely superb. There's a tempura restaurant right downstairs, and a huge Aeon supermarket next door where you can find virtually anything you need. Kanayama Station is just across the road, offering convenient access to both subway and JR lines, plus general shopping options. It's also not far from the airport. Aside from the room being a bit small, the value for money is unbeatable.

AAmeliaKuruKaraPros:
1. Room and toilet is clean. Amenities is also provided but require to take from the lobby which I feel is good.
2. Located 5 mins walk from exit 3 of Metro Fushimi Station. There is also a bus stop along the way which can brings you to Sakae area and other spots. Otherwise, walking to Sakae area is doable as well. Additionally, along the way to hotel, will spot the scenic spot of Science Museum.
3. I had opted to walked to Osu Shotengai Street from hotel. As is autumn, the route along the way was great as will pass by a park with great scenery and people.
4. Lots of restaurants/eateries, convenience mart and drug store nearby.
5. Breakfast was provided and not bad for my taste even though almost the same everyday. There is a tea/coffee/water section where is provided for free.
6. Soundproof was actually good to my surprise.
Cons:
1. Room is quite small. I had brought 2 medium and 1 small luggage but only manage to open half of the 2 medium luggages. Barely able to walk and nearly trip on the luggage.
2. The hotel lobby is located at level 2 and require to take the lift. Believe was due to Japan public holiday or is a holiday season, the hotel was quite packed during my stay. At night when back to hotel, there was long queue to take the lift despite having 2 lifts.
3. Same goes for breakfast area, if you are eating after 8am onwards, too pack and the seating place are too limited.
4. Nothing much on the view as I had gotten a room with no views and overseeing opposite rooms only.
Overall, despite the small room size and others, actually I find this hotel to be nice to stay at. I definitely recommend to stay at this hotel despite there are only few minor cons.

TTiantianzhuizhumaqidaThe location is excellent, right in front of Nagoya Station. I specifically chose it for its proximity to the bus center since I was taking a highway bus. It's super convenient with izakayas and the station nearby, and I even discovered a theater. The breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. The room size wasn't small at all, and while double beds are usually 1.4 meters wide, this one was 1.6 meters, which felt very spacious. Plus, they had a great selection of amenities downstairs.

WWinnieTheAoyI I came to stay here for the second time, and I feel this hotel has a perfect location. It's near JR Station, within walking distance to the subway line and bus station. The room size is suitable for two people with large luggage. The room and bathroom are clean, and they have pajamas, towels, hand wash, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There's also air freshener for the room and clothing, but you can bring other toiletries from the front desk. Near the hotel, there are a restaurant, a convenience store, and a mall — a very perfect place to stay. me.

MM370853****A truly excellent stay! It's just a 6-minute walk from Nagoya Station, very well-signposted, and surrounded by numerous izakayas, making the location absolutely superb. Both the capsule pod and bathroom facilities were spotlessly clean, with daily cleaning, so cleanliness is definitely not a concern for those on a one-night stopover. My only minor complaint was the extremely unstable Wi-Fi signal within the hotel. It was so unreliable that I sometimes missed important information. I hope the hotel can address this issue.

Wwinewine99The hotel is really close to the subway station, about a four to five-minute walk. I didn't pay attention when I booked, and this particular street is a bit... 'special' at night, haha, but it's not a huge problem.
Right downstairs, there's a Lawson and a FamilyMart, plus a Matsuya fast-food restaurant. There were also several highly-rated restaurants nearby, but I didn't have time to try them!
It's about six or seven subway stops from Nagoya Dome, no transfers needed, and takes around 20-30 minutes, which is quite convenient!
The front desk staff were very friendly, but the check-in time is strictly enforced – only from 3 PM. There's a seating area nearby where you can wait, and breakfast is even included! Though I didn't actually eat it.
The room is small but has everything you need. It's perfect for one person, no big issues! If you're coming to the Dome for a concert, you might want to consider this place! 🫶🏻

GGuest UserService 3/5: Standard service as expected from a hotel. Nothing that stands out but nothing to fault either.
Room 3/5: Had a normal room with 1 double bed and a larger room with 2 beds. The size of the larger room with 2 beds was equivalent to 2 of the nornal rooms. Beds are a double bed so the size was good. The beds for the room with 2 beds were softer and had more padding then the normal single bed room which were hard. The primary issue I had is that there was no A/C and only heating when I was staying here. I booked a smoking room and there was the scent of smoke as expected for the single bed room. The room with 2 beds had no smoke smell even though it was a smoking room.
Facilities 4/5: There are coin laundry machines and a water station to refill your water bottle which is nice.
Location 5/5: The location is extremely convienient as it is extremely close to the main strain station. Which makes it a good stay if you are having a short 1-2 day stay in Nagoya before using the train. There are also malls nearby and even a Muji a few floors lower.
Overall 3.75/5 Overall would stay again just for the convinient location

AAnonymous UserI always choose to stay here the night before flying back home from Nagoya Airport. It's close to the station, and it's convenient to catch the Kintetsu line to the airport.
