"Stayed with BWH for nights. Pros: The location is great. Only approx. 5 minutes walk to Sakae Station. There are many restaurants to go to. Convenience shops like Lawson and 7 eleven are just across the road. The double room itself is spacious by Japanese standards (as in the photo). Cleanness is superior. The hotel does routine daily cleaning services including replacing slippers and towels, etc. Almost all amenities are provided at the reception. Must mention that many things like face cleansing gel are from Pola. Cons: The fridge makes clear noise (even when switched to level 1), so that I have to power off the fridge before sleeping. The soundproofing can be improved. I could hear laughter and natter from the next wall (their large voice did contribute though), especially when the night was very quiet. Another one is the small chair on the corner. It kept preventing me from accessing the window side of the bed. Should've chosen a better place to place it."

"The room had three single beds, which were quite comfortable. However, it was clear the triple room was originally a twin room with an added bed, not designed as a triple from the start, as it was so cramped there was no space to open our luggage. The view was excellent, which is definitely the highlight of this hotel. Being able to overlook the Nagoya night view and lying in bed watching the city lights was a real mood booster. There's a 'SPA room' at the hotel, but it's really just a public bath, and a very small one at that. There weren't even towels available, which made drying off inconvenient. There are no actual spa services; it's just a bathhouse. The restaurant is on the 18th floor (the lobby level) and also offers great views. Breakfast is a set meal (one dish per person) supplemented by a buffet of side dishes. The pastries were good. This Mitsui hotel is located in the Symphony Toyota Building. On the ground floor, just off the elevators, there's a door that leads directly to the underground mall. This underground passage connects all the shopping areas around Nagoya Station and also goes straight to Kintetsu and Meitetsu Nagoya Stations. It's much more convenient to use the underground path if you're heading to the station (be sure to ask the front desk for a paper map, as the wall maps don't have English, and it's easy to get lost underground if you can't read Katakana and go the wrong way)."

"The staff's service attitude was excellent. For breakfast, they had chicken wings and Oden. The room I chose this time had a separate bathroom and toilet, so the toilet wouldn't get wet when showering. The hotel's location is superb, with a mall and restaurants downstairs. If you love shopping, you probably couldn't cover it all in one day. It's only a 45-minute drive from Nagashima Outlet (Anpanman, amusement park) and Legoland. However, parking isn't included in the hotel fee, and it costs 2200 yen per day (as of January 2026)."

"Very convenient location with family mart right downstairs, sugi pharmacy with good range of stuff with tax free shipping and 24 ichiran nearby. There are also variety of restaurants nearby, and short walking distance through unimall (underground mall) linked to subways, meitetsu, kintetsu and JR Nagoya. The hotel has also added a bed for my elder child at no extra cost."

"First off, the location is excellent. From Central Japan International Airport, you just take bus #6 at the airport bus stop directly to Sakae, which is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel and costs 2000 yen. We arrived just in time for the hotel's complimentary dessert hour at 3 PM. Free coffee is available 24/7. There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs. A subway station is also a 5-minute walk away, making getting around super convenient. For the return trip to Central Japan International Airport, you can take the Meijo Line and then transfer to the Meitetsu Line, which costs a little over 1900 yen. Our single room on the 14th floor was small but clean, hygienic, and quiet. The shower had great water pressure, which was very comfortable."

"I stayed for 3 nights at the Wasabi Hostel Nagoya. I took the Nohi Bus from Takayama, which took about 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach its final destination, the Meitetsu Nagoya Bus Terminal. The fare was 3600 yen. Using Google Maps, it was about a 700-meter, 10-minute walk to the hostel. Actually, getting off at JR Station would have been closer, but I wanted to check the Meitetsu train schedules to Atsuta Jingu and Chubu Centrair International Airport, as well as the Meitetsu bus to Matsumoto. Being my first time in Nagoya, the different lines and companies were quite confusing and disorienting. _The hostel is located near a transportation hub, surrounded by various shopping malls, restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets, making daily life very convenient. It's also relatively easy to get to attractions like Osu Kannon, Oasis 21, and Nagoya Castle by subway. I stayed in a female-only dormitory on the fifth floor, which had about 30 beds. The beds were spacious, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. Each bed had a safe with Chinese instructions, as well as an outlet, a bedside lamp, and a small TV. Due to the overall space constraints of the hostel, the aisles between the beds were very cramped. There was a small luggage room. On the fifth floor, there were 3 shower rooms and 2 toilets, providing facial cleanser, shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion. There was a self-service coin-operated washing machine for 200 yen per wash and a dryer for 100 yen for 30 minutes. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, bath towels, and slippers all had to be purchased separately. There was a common lounge area on the first floor where everyone's shoes had to be placed in shoe lockers. The first floor also had a refrigerator, microwave, and oven, and complimentary miso soup and tea were provided. The staff were gentle and friendly, providing thoughtful and enthusiastic service; despite me not knowing English or Japanese, they patiently explained everything to me. What confused me was that having traveled to Japan multiple times and stayed in many hostels, guesthouses, or hotels, this was the only place where the shower water pressure was low. I don't know if it was only on the fifth floor during peak water usage hours at night, but for me, this was the biggest drawback. Overall, if you're traveling solo in Nagoya and looking for an affordable and convenient place to stay, this hostel offers good value for money."

"Overall, an excellent stay! The hotel and room is clean and has a sleek, modern feel. The top-floor onsen is definitely an awesome addition for the stay. My only heads-up is that the rooms are a bit tight. There wasn't enough floor space to open two suitcases, so we had to use the sofa instead. Other than that, everything was perfect!"

"Location: A 3-minute walk from Sakae subway station, on the north side of the station. Shopping areas are all on the south side, just across the road. The 'little sister' district, as mentioned online, is just one street away from the hotel. Facilities: The decor is a bit old-school, but it's very clean. Front Desk: Check-in was very fast, and you can get toiletries for free. Room: Pretty standard, slightly larger than the average Japanese room. My small suitcase could be fully opened on the floor. Value for Money: Considering its location around the Sakae commercial district and decent ratings, this is definitely one of the viable options."

"The lobby has a great artistic vibe. The hotel's location is superb, and nearby convenience stores are very handy. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit of a walk to the subway station, making it more suitable for families traveling by private car or chartered vehicle. On the bright side, the rooms are significantly more spacious than what you typically find in other Japanese hotels."
