Amazing
FFAN_CI really like TIAD's decor, which is why I chose it over a very well-located Marriott. It's right above a subway exit. To get to Nagoya JR Station, you need to transfer twice, so a taxi is more convenient, costing between 1900-2200 JPY. The hotel's amenities are outstanding, including a Bioprogramming hairdryer (though only 4D). They provide London EH toiletries, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. There's even underfloor heating in front of the sink. Overall, the experience was great, but the turndown service could be a bit more attentive.

AAnonymous UserHere's why this hotel stands out:
1. **Perfect Location**: Directly across the river from Nagoya Castle, offering stunning day views and beautiful nighttime light shows from the rooms and terrace. It's also within walking distance to the subway station, and the hotel provides shuttle service.
2. **Design & Art**: The hotel blends modern architecture with Japanese elements, featuring over 400 pieces of art throughout. The private gardens are elegant, and some room types even come with private onsen baths, allowing for a truly relaxing soak with castle views.
3. **Dining & Service**: Boasts 9 high-end restaurants, including some with Michelin-starred chefs. The afternoon tea and specialty cocktails receive rave reviews. Service is impeccable, with attentive assistance for luggage, reservations, and multi-lingual reception. Top-notch facilities include a swimming pool, onsen, sauna, and gym.
GGuest UserOne of my best capsule hotel that I have ever stayed. The whole building is catered to Male occupants, 2 sauna levels, free rice, free alcohol and locker is big enough to fit large items. Location is great, opposite ichiran. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Nnini2017ukThis is an older hotel, and while it shows its age a bit, it's incredibly well-maintained and spotlessly clean. It's perfectly situated at Kanayama Station, one of Nagoya's major transportation hubs. You can take the Meitetsu line directly from the airport, and other subway lines offer easy access to various Nagoya attractions. Right outside, you'll find an art museum, convenience stores, and a wide array of restaurants. It offers excellent value for money.

GGuest UserI stayed for three nights and was very satisfied. The room was spacious, not cramped at all, and I even got upgraded to a higher floor. It's very close to the Sakae shopping district, with all the malls just about a 15-minute walk away. In the other direction is Shin-Sakae, where you can find quite a few Chinese restaurants. There's a Sugi pharmacy right outside the hotel, which is super convenient for buying cosmetics, daily necessities, and food – I shopped there every day. For breakfast, you can choose between the ground floor buffet or the second-floor Japanese set meal. I'd definitely recommend the buffet on the ground floor; it has a wide variety, including名古屋特色的烤鸡翅 (Nagoya-style fried chicken wings), though it can get a bit crowded. The service was also excellent, absolutely flawless. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Nagoya. The only thing to note is that the road leading to Sakae is a gentle uphill slope, which might be a little tiring if you're pushing a stroller.

CChyarlesExcellent service, room was comfortable with superb view of the city but a wee bit noisy at night till the train service stopped, club lounge was a plus but it closed too early (9pm), breakfast was ok particularly loved the French toast and very very delicious gelato although strangely enough fried eggs weren’t available daily and fruit choices were meagre (orange, honeydew and pineapple). A pleasant stay overall.
GGuest UserWhen I was booking my hotel, I ran into some issues, but to my surprise, the hotel manager at check-in helped me sort everything out. His service was incredibly professional, and I'm very grateful! 🙏
The breakfast here is fantastic with a wide variety of options, and there are tons of great places to eat near the hotel. The room itself is very spacious, and the view is absolutely beautiful.

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable.
Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!

GGuest UserConsidering Tokyo's accommodation prices and standards, this place was an absolute steal! I wish I'd known; I would have taken a late Shinkansen and stayed an extra night, saving myself 500 yen.
Pros: The price was right, and the decor was lovely. From what I saw, it seems to be considered a 4-star in Japan. The service was very warm; staff greeted you upon entering and leaving. There was a welcome gift, complimentary drinks and coffee, and a microwave for heating food. Plus, free access to the public bath – a shame I arrived late and was too tired to go. The interior had a nice, distinctive style, and there was an air purifier in the room. It's not far from Nagoya Station, and right next to the Meitetsu Department Store (main building, 9th floor), which houses several of Nagoya's characteristic old restaurants, though there might be a queue.
Cons: It's a bit of a walk from Nagoya Station, a good 10 minutes that requires a bit of navigation. If you're coming from the airport, it's an extra 3-minute walk from Meitetsu Nagoya Station, but once you're familiar with the area, it feels quite close.
Overall, highly recommended.

Very Good
GGuest Userconvenient location, just a few min walk to the city sightseeing bus (Meguru bus) and about 10min walk to Golden Clock (station central concurse). Hotel rooms are normal Jap hotel room size (don't expect a lot of space). Restaurants and Lawson nearby.
