Hotel Monterey La Soeur Naha has opened at the entrance to Naha City's Kokusai Street, the gateway to Okinawa.
With excellent access from Naha Airport, the hotel is optimally located as a base for both sightseeing and business. While facing the bustling Kokusai Street—Okinawa's premier entertainment district—stepping inside the hotel reveals a sophisticated and tranquil space, inspired by Okinawa's starry night sky and beautiful ocean.
"The hotel boasts a super convenient location. If you're coming from the airport by monorail, just get off at Kencho-mae (Prefectural Office) station, and it's only a 2-minute walk to the hotel. This area is also a frequent pick-up/drop-off point for one-day tours, which adds to the convenience.
The room itself was incredibly clean, having just been renovated. Despite being close to Kokusai Dori, I didn't hear any noise disturbing my sleep. The room was also quite spacious compared to other places I've stayed, allowing me to leave my luggage open without issue.
The room was fully equipped with everything I needed: a kettle, refrigerator, flashlight, and two complimentary bottles of water daily. There were also pajamas and slippers provided. The bathroom amenities were complete, and there was a hairdryer and plenty of power outlets around the room. I especially loved the USB charging ports by the bed. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance."
Located adjacent to Yui Rail's "Kencho-mae Station," the hotel offers excellent access from Naha Airport and convenient transportation to various parts of Okinawa by bus. It is also situated in the heart of the city, just a short distance from Kokusai Street.
The hotel's design embodies the concept of "nurtured by the Ryukyu Islands," which is reflected throughout the entire space—from the entrance to the lobby, terrace, restaurant, and guest rooms—allowing guests to fully experience the essence of Okinawa.
"We enjoyed our stay at the The Royal Iconic Naha Hotel. It's a modern and clean hotel close to the popular Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping street as well as the monorail station being directly across the road. Heaps of restaurants and shopping options nearby. The one negative aspect staying here was the parking facility. It's not your traditional parking space that's provided instead the hotel has a parking mechanical tower (like a large vending machine) that parks your car and collects it for you. The process of collecting your car could take a while due to the number of guests needing to collect their car as well. Its one at a time basis. Also there's not enough parking spots so when we arrived back from our day trips in the evening, we were advised that the car park is full an were directed to find alternative parking elsewhere. I found was really inconvenient as the days were hot and humid and everybody was tired. I ended up circling around the area for an hour looking for parking and trying to figure out how to park using those plate locks. Then I had to lug alot of things from my car as well as my 3 yr old back to the hotel. I haven't ever came across this issue before at other hotels I've stayed in. The pool isn't large but was nice enough to relax for a quick dip. There was also a spa as well which was nice. Would be good though if the pool was opened until later (it closes early at 8pm). Also, there weren't any towels provided at the pool and only 2 towels provided in our hotel room which we had to use. This was inconvenient as we then had to bring back our wet towels to our room. Overall our stay was okay."

"The location is very convenient, just 3 minutes from Asahibashi Station and 5 minutes from Rumo Department Store. Meeting points are very easy, and public transportation is readily available. There are three types of convenience stores nearby. The only minor drawback is that the room is really small; large suitcases are difficult to open and can only be opened at the door. You can barely open one 29-inch suitcase, but you can open two 19-inch suitcases. The room has a washer-dryer, which is very convenient."
The first hotel at Naha Airport!
Directly connected to Naha Airport, you can rest assured that you will have a safe and comfortable stay even if you are staying late at night or early in the morning.
"If you are an International traveller who arrives late after the airport closes and leaves before it opens, please be sure you understand everything about the entrance and exit. I highly recommend that you check with the airport information desk directly or ask the hostel by translation apps.
It is a very good place to stay for anyone who plans to catch an early flight, though the staff cannot speak English fluently, which means it takes time to communicate. Breakfast is included!"
The hotel is directly connected to the Tomarin Ferry Terminal, serving as the gateway to the eight outer islands. It is just a 10-minute taxi ride from Naha Airport and a 15-minute walk to Kokusai Street, offering easy access not only to daytime activities but also to shopping and the bustling downtown area. This makes it an ideal base for your Okinawa trip.
The hotel features an all-day dining area with a spacious open-air terrace, and from the rooms, guests can enjoy the best sunset views in Naha. This allows guests to experience the unique resort-like atmosphere while staying right in the heart of the city.
With 216 rooms in 13 different types, the hotel offers a variety of accommodations to suit different needs. There are rooms that can accommodate up to five people, as well as rooms with bunk beds, perfect for larger groups. Additionally, family-friendly rooms where guests can relax barefoot and enjoy the comfort of their stay are also available.
"This is a very new hotel, it just opened in May. It's a quick 10-minute taxi ride from Naha Airport (about 1500 JPY) or a 20-minute bus ride (280 JPY). The port is a mere 10-second walk away, so I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning any island-hopping trips!
**Facilities:** I stayed in a twin room with a harbor view. At 30 square meters, it felt a bit spacious for just one person. The toilet and shower are separate, though the toilet cubicle itself was a bit tight to turn around in. The water pressure was excellent, making for a really refreshing shower. The toiletries are ginger-scented... if you're not a fan of ginger, I'd suggest bringing your own."
8 minutes walk from Yui Rail Prefectural Office Station!
"Excellent value for money, easy to find, with plenty of parking lots nearby. The staff at the front desk were friendly. The room was very clean and spacious enough, but lacked a coffee table and only had one chair, so we had turns eating our breakfast boxes. The bathroom and toilet were a bit old-fashioned, but the toilet itself was new. The bathroom also lacked hooks and towel racks, which was very inconvenient, so I went to a 100 Yen store and bought three hooks for my own use."
