GGuest UserWe just had a very nice two-night stay here while visiting all the diaolou of the area. The location is excellent, about 2km from Zili and walking distance to Li Yuan. Other diaolou clusters are 10-20 mins away. The service was friendly and so helpful during our whole visit. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed beef noodles and tea eggs for breakfast the first day and then a simple buffet breakfast the second day of congee, sweet potatoes, noodles, corn. The room was really nice, very high tech and comfortable. The beds were a little hard for us. That was the only negative. We loved the outdoor space with lots of room to hang out during the day and evening. Overall, an excellent stay in Kaiping.

Environment: The overall environment is excellent, and the common areas are quite spacious.
Service: The staff are very enthusiastic, and the breakfast is exquisite. There are also bicycles provided for getting around nearby. Liyuan is right next door, very close, and Zili Village is not far, about a 15-minute bike ride. The guesthouse itself is very unique; it used to be a temple and a school in the front, and residences in the back. Staying in a Diaolou (fortified multi-storied watchtower) feels like a dialogue with time and space – truly a great experience, highly recommended!

Our whole family drove to Guangdong for a trip, and we booked a guesthouse called ”Wushisandu Zhuxia” to visit the Diaolou in Kaiping. Based on my past impressions, guesthouses usually can't compare to hotels in terms of food and accommodation. But to my surprise, upon checking in, my eyes lit up, and I found it to be excellent! I couldn't help but give this 'unassuming' guesthouse a big thumbs-up:
First, let's talk about the 'hardware':
1. This guesthouse occupies a significant area, with a garden of about seven or eight mu, featuring a man-made 'waterfall' with gushing water, a koi pond for viewing, swings for leisure, and many flowers and plants, giving off a feeling of a secluded paradise.
2. There's an elegantly and warmly decorated common area with tables and chairs for relaxing, unwinding, and having breakfast. There's also a piano that serves as both a decoration and an instrument (my granddaughter even played a tune), creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
3. The guesthouse has three floors of guest rooms, but there's an elevator, just like many hotels. You even need to swipe your room card to operate it, which is both safe and convenient.
4. The rooms are bright and clean, and the bathroom even has a smart toilet with a bidet function, which is quite rare even in many star-rated hotels.
Now, for the 'software':
1. Upon check-in, each room received a complimentary set of five different small pastries.
2. The common area offered nearly ten types of complimentary fruits for guests to enjoy freely.
3. You can order dinner according to your needs, and the food is delicious and savory.
4. Breakfast is entirely homemade, and its exquisite level is no less than that of a star-rated hotel. There are many varieties, all delicious, and you can enjoy them as much as you like, along with coffee and local specialty hot tea.
5. Upon departure, each room received a complimentary local specialty gift (fermented bean curd, tea, noodles) as a souvenir.
It's truly touching that a guesthouse can achieve such standards and humanized service. We repeatedly expressed our sincere gratitude to the guesthouse owner, and this also motivated me to promote and publicize their establishment voluntarily. For this purpose, I even took many photos to get a more intuitive and direct understanding of this guesthouse.

The town isn't very big, so it's easy to reach all the popular spots and performance venues from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was quiet at night.

SStevan AntonijevicStay in this hotel was good. Rooms are clean, everything looks new. The stuff was very nice and polite. They spoke a bit of English with us. But anyway, everything was clear and ok.
Breakfast is poor, it is a buffet, but not much to offer. Food was fresh and the restaurant was clean and new. But they only had noodles, couple of different vegetables, eggs, some bread options and that's it. Hotel is not that big, not so many guest and it is not crowded. Which was good.

GGuest UserVery satisfied, the service is very good, suitable for families, clean and hygienic, the front desk service is very warm, especially the front desk staff Li Jiabao, who carefully guided us from the moment we entered the door and responded promptly to any needs. The hotel facilities are also very complete, with a children's ball pool and a library. The children can't stop playing. The hotel decoration is also very unique and cute, and it looks good for taking pictures. The price-performance ratio is excellent. I want to come again next time

CcivillawliThe room was clean and tidy. The air conditioner was turned on in advance, and it felt cool and comfortable as soon as I entered. There is a big yellow orchid tree in the yard, and the flowers are fragrant. The view is the green fields, which is pleasing to the eye.
The restaurant's food tastes good, but the reception capacity needs to be improved during holidays. It is a bit busy to handle too many people.

GGuest UserWe were very excited at the thought of visiting the diaolous but the only bus from Shunde to Kaiping departed at almost 14:00!! By the time we arrived it was already too late to venture out to the diaolous. The guy at the reception felt our pain and gave us helpful suggestions on what to do while we were there.
The location of the hotel is superb, right next to the bus station, the riverside and the street lined with gold(shops) on both sides of the divide.
However the hotel itself had definitely seen better days.
But it was clean, the basic amenities were provided and we had a good night’s sleep. Overall the service was excellent. And the price commensurates with what were offered.

It wasn't your typical cookie-cutter hotel, and that's exactly what I loved. The peaceful environment was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and providing to-the-point service – no fuss, just what I needed. A huge plus was the hotel's location. Being within walking distance of so many attractions made exploring a breeze. And when I got hungry, the abundance of great food options nearby was the cherry on top. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
It's in rural area and rides may not be to easy to get after 10pm. If you plan to return late to the hotel, be sure to know how to contact the hotel just in case the front desk is closed. Sorry to wake you at the middle of night boss lady!
