We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Our stay far exceeded expectations! The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful ambiance. The host was extremely warm, thoughtful, and attentive. The biggest pleasant surprise was how amazing the food was—such delicious home-cooked meals! The location is fantastic, very close to all the main attractions, making getting around super convenient. A special shoutout to the pet-friendly policy; traveling with our dog was completely hassle-free, and our pup felt right at home too. Highly recommended, and we will definitely stay here again next time!

Super clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and the washbasin and bathroom, which are of utmost importance for girls traveling, were spotless and stained. They even thoughtfully provided disposable towels and toilet seat covers. The air conditioning cooled down quickly, perfect for summer travel. They even provided disposable, packaged cups for rinsing your mouth. It's comparable to any high-end chain hotel. The owner was very friendly and responded promptly to any questions we had during our trip. We loved the decor – clean, tidy, and thoughtfully designed. The location is excellent; taxis are readily available, and there are plenty of delicious food options to order. Location, service, and facilities are all top-notch!

On a long-distance road trip with my parents, we chose Wuyishan as our second stop to rest and recharge. Looking for more of a resort feel, we compared a few options and ultimately chose Chunbo Resort. It turned out to be a huge and delightful surprise on this trip! The hotel called us in advance and added us on WeChat to check about our stay preferences, while also providing information on various services and activities available at the property. When we booked dinner at the restaurant and mentioned that someone in our party was celebrating a birthday, they thoughtfully prepared longevity noodles and a cake. The restaurant staff were all extremely attentive and considerate. The hotel is very large, and its interior design and aesthetic are top-notch—great for taking photos. The shuttle carts operate 24/7 and show up instantly whenever called. Before checkout, they even thoughtfully drove us to the parking lot first to drop off our luggage so we could enjoy breakfast with peace of mind. As for the room, we booked a family room, which was spacious and comfortable. It allowed us to spend time together while also giving everyone their own space. Having bathrooms on both upper and lower levels is very elderly-friendly. Even our notoriously picky elders said they would choose to stay here again next time!

Whether you're already passionate about tea or just starting your journey, Buzhichun is the perfect place to stay in Wuyishan — a city deeply rooted in tea culture. The room is spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed with minimalist touches. The natural colors and materials create a calming atmosphere that feels like home — perfect for slow living. The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room. On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests. The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests. Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home. This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

The hotel's hardware details are thoughtfully designed, with effective blackout curtains in the rooms and instant hot water. The public amenities are comprehensive; after exploring Wuyi Mountain, it was great to relax in the gym or do laundry and drying, which made the trip much more convenient. The facilities definitely deserve five stars.

My stay at the Jinjiang Metropolo Wuyishan exceeded all expectations, it truly deserves a five-star rating. The hotel's location is excellent; it's right on Sangu Old Street, making it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and reaching various scenic spots. The room was impeccably clean, and I had a very restful night's sleep. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant servers were all very welcoming and enthusiastic. The front desk even provided a helpful 'welcome reminder' with clear recommendations for dining and sightseeing. They also had a thoughtful selection of small amenities available, like disposable toilet seat covers, dental floss, and individually wrapped cotton swabs. After a tiring day of exploring, you can relax on the ground floor, enjoy some tea, and immerse yourself in Wuyi tea culture. This hotel has definitely made it onto my favorites list!

The environment is nice, and the breakfast is plentiful.
