👍👍👍 I had a wonderful stay at Tongmu Youmingju Homestay and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tongmu area. The homestay is located in a beautiful and peaceful natural setting, surrounded by mountains and forest. One of my favorite experiences was enjoying excellent local tea while sitting right next to the river, breathing the fresh mountain air and listening to the sound of the water. It is the perfect place to relax and experience the authentic atmosphere of Tongmu. The hosts are exceptionally kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything. They made me feel like a guest in their home rather than just a customer. The homemade food was another highlight. Every meal was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. It was some of the best local food I had during my trip. As a tea enthusiast, I especially appreciated staying with a family that truly understands the local tea culture. Their knowledge and hospitality made my visit even more memorable. I genuinely enjoyed every day of my stay and was sad to leave. I will definitely come back, and from now on this will be my permanent place to stay whenever I visit the Wuyishan and Tongmu area. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Having stayed in so many B&Bs, this one really stood out. The location of the homestay is excellent, and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. You can see the beautiful scenery of mountains and water just by opening the window. The room facilities are complete, and the use of smart home makes life more convenient. Moreover, the public area of ​​the homestay is decorated in great style. It is very pleasant to drink tea and chat with the owner here while waiting for midnight snack. Next time I come to Wuyi Mountain, this will definitely be my first choice!

Traveling with a baby, the hotel was very accommodating. They gave us a quiet corner room, which was spotlessly clean and made us feel very comfortable. It was also a short walk to the scenic area, saving us the hassle of a long commute with a stroller. Our baby slept soundly at night, allowing us to get good rest as well. It was a very thoughtful and human-centered stay.

Whether you're already passionate about tea or just starting your journey, Buzhichun is the perfect place to stay in Wuyishan — a city deeply rooted in tea culture. The room is spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed with minimalist touches. The natural colors and materials create a calming atmosphere that feels like home — perfect for slow living. The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room. On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests. The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests. Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home. Facilities: The facilities were super clean, and they had a washer and dryer, plus a tea set right in the room! Service: The front desk staff were all lovely! They greeted me warmly every day, and it was a pleasure interacting with them. Service: They upgraded me to a room with a view for free! Super nice! There was complimentary sweet soup every day, and they'd notify us in advance in the group chat. Any issues I raised were addressed very promptly. They even had foot-soaking tubs! Soaking my feet after a hike was incredibly relaxing. Plant rubbings/lacquer fan making (choose one): I chose the plant rubbings – a really unique experience!

Tucked away in the mountains, this hotel offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, with its overall design exuding an elegant oriental charm. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest rooms provide breathtaking mountain views, and the bathtub by the window is perfect for a relaxing soak. The entire room is spotless, and the King Koil mattress is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a dreamless night's sleep. The butler service is attentive and polite, responding quickly to any requests. Guests can enjoy complimentary local rock tea. The hotel's amenities are excellent, and it's conveniently located, making it an ideal retreat from city life. Definitely worth recommending!

The owner and his staff were really friendly. He also provided assistance, information and tips for the scenic attractions. His photography work is displayed in his home stay and also on the tv of the complementary Wuyishan bus service. It’s in a natural surrounding so expect one or two insects to come by. Breakfast is simple — I (and a passing wasp) love the tea eggs so much I bought extra for lunch and dinner. They sell Dahongpao ice cream too and it’s cheaper for guests compared to the ones outside. He also sells tea leaves. And I bought some because the taste of the samplers were good. The only gripe I have is with the shower — water pressure is not good but that’s not the location’s fault. It took a while for me to finally turn the knob to the magic spot where water temperature is just right — not too cold and not too hot. But hey, I’m paying to stay smack in the middle of the scenic area.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

Overall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
