Amazing
Yyeap2923The Porta by Ambarrukmo hotel provides excellent service. The staff are consistently polite, attentive, and very helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The facilities are well-maintained, modern, and convenient, offering both comfort and functionality. The rooms are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, everything about the hotel—from the service to the amenities—contributes to a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
GGuest UserIncredible stay! We booked a night here after a disaster at a neighbouring hotel and our stay was one of the best in Indonesia. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with astonishing hospitality from all the staff members but especially Reza who went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcome and comfortable in the hotel. The facilities are top quality, the room was very clean and extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The gardens and hotel grounds are extremely well maintained, beautiful, and have lots of space for relaxation or, if you have kids, spaces to keep kids entertained. The hotel has ample options for food/drink and also entertainment and also offers tours of the local area. It was also my girlfriend's birthday and the staff again put in genuine effort to make it a really special day for her, we are extremely grateful for their efforts - 5 star service.
I can strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an escape from the city and to be near mount merapi or who wants a bit of relaxation.
Ddyhx1.5 hrs ride from YIA Airport, but conveniently linked to Pukawon Mall that has pretty much everything you need from nails spa, massage to cinema, shops, eateries, restaurants to supermarket. It's easy (and cheap) to get a grab (local Uber) so not a challenge to get around even to further places.
The room was spacious even for 2, including the bathroom area. Clean and well maintained, cute crab-shaped towel art and welcome amenities as a Bonvoy Gold member. Beds and pillows are a bit soft for my liking (even when I opted for a foam pillow from their pillow menu) but that's a personal preference. All amenities provided in the bathroom.
Service was amazing, such warm smiles and great initiative, from the bell boy who helped with our luggage immediately after we got off the car, to the friendly front desk staff, to the security guards who holds the doors open for us and most of all, the helpful and thoughtful housekeeping team. They saw that we had limited hanging space with too much clothes and put in a standing laundry rack for us, and additional bottles of water, all without asking. Special shout-out to Deelen, Wahyu for the superb service.
The pool looked amazing though I didn't get to try it this time.
Breakfast was also excellent, a wide spread of local, western and Asian. They also offer interesting local herbal beverages. Solomon was thoughtful and offered us to order special items off the buffet when he found out it was our 3rd day of having breakfast at the hotel.
Overall a wonderful stay and I'll be sure to stay here the next time I visit Jogja again.
GGuest UserIt's hard to describe the tranquility and grandeur we experienced, getting to know the volcano, nature, and Indonesia's brilliant culture amidst the distant train sounds, even more distant chanting, and the chirping of insects nearby.
The hotel is over an hour's drive from Yogyakarta train station, but it's absolutely worth it. The facilities are exquisite, and dining amidst nature is a treat. There's also a mini-zoo, a children's play area, and especially noteworthy is the gym with its natural outdoor views, a refreshing change from stuffy indoor workouts.
The architect showed great respect for the local flora, stones, and drainage. Even the auxiliary buildings were thoughtfully designed. The bedrooms are spacious, featuring two mirrors, and while the ceiling height is modest, it dips slightly towards the large windows that frame the volcano views, creating a dynamic and engaging space.
Apparently, the owner is Chinese and opened the hotel in 2021. They hired experienced locals from nearby, transforming a mountaintop plot into a treasure, which in turn has spurred economic and cultural revitalization and the revival of traditional arts.
In the evening, the hotel provided a bowl of fruit, likely homegrown, as many fruits were enjoying the sun in various corners of the garden.
GGuest UserStayed here as the location is near to the business event I’m attending. Room is clean and I’ll book this hotel again the next time I’m in Yogyakarta
AAnonymous UserQuiet and serene place to rest up.
Experience village lifestyle where you need to make your own fire to heat up water.
Basic amenities (electric, water) are provided.
Organic fruits are available (guava, tomatoes, Papaya)
HHerebyMIf you're looking for White Lotus kinda vibe, this is the one! I really enjoy staying here! You also eligibe to have complimetary photoshoot from the hotel.
The room is spacious with Gunung Merapi view is breath-taking.
You also can have Gunung Merapi view when you dine at hotel's restaurant.
IIndra Suryo WicaksonoA hotel with an old building located in Kaliurang, if your goal is the Lava Merapi Tour then this is a highly recommended hotel.
The rooms are clean and spacious although there needs to be an improvement in the quality of some items in the bathroom.
Overall this is a very good hotel for its price range.
