We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in a triple standard room on the 3rd floor. The experience was amazing. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable. The hotel administrators were responsive, very polite, respectful, and attentive. All our wishes were taken into account. The hotel's location is beyond praise, close to Registan Square and Siab Bazaar. There was a beautiful view from the window. Breakfasts were varied and prepared with soul, very delicious. We left with positive impressions of both the stay and Samarkand itself. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next trip. Many thanks to the hotel management for an excellent stay.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! I made a mistake with my booking, but the hotel staff were incredibly patient and helped me sort everything out. They were all super friendly, helped with our luggage, and provided exceptional service. The entire hotel was spotless and very comfortable. We woke up a bit late and worried we'd miss breakfast, but it turned out the hotel offered à la carte Western breakfast and freshly ground coffee, which tasted great, and the service was really thoughtful. The location is also super convenient, very close to the train station, making getting around a breeze. I chose this place specifically because I didn't want to stay near the necropolis area; it's about 5km from the attractions, and getting a taxi was very easy. Throughout my stay, I really felt the warmth and hospitality of the people of Uzbekistan. My accommodation experience was perfect, I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

We were supposed to have a twin room, but they upgraded us to a family room. When you open the heavy door, there's a courtyard with rooms built around it. The courtyard had tables, chairs, and even a chaihana (tea house) seating area. There was an outlet next to the bed. The hairdryer was in the closet. The air conditioning and drainage worked perfectly. Oddly, the shower's hot water came out when you turned the blue knob, and the cold water from the red one. I had read reviews saying that when people asked for a replacement toilet paper roll, they were given a used one. However, when I asked, I received a brand new roll, so it seems they've made improvements. On our last day, the road in front of the hotel was closed due to construction, and the owner kindly helped us call a car and guided us. The handmade restaurant map was also very helpful, and we really appreciated all their assistance. The hotel has an interesting interior and is conveniently located, with all attractions nearby. It's very clean and comfortable. The reception staff are always helpful with any questions and provide great advice, a big thank you to them. I especially want to thank the chefs who prepare the breakfasts; they are delicious, with fresh pastries and a variety of dishes, and they added something new every day. In the evenings, you can have tea in the dining room. My wife and I loved everything and will recommend the hotel to our friends and acquaintances. We particularly remember the breakfasts on the 'tapchan' (raised platform).

This is my second stay here. The hotel's location is decent, and with the low taxi fares, getting around the city is a breeze. The breakfast was good. There was a minor issue with the water, but it was resolved quickly.

We were welcomed like honored guests at the hotel. Administrators Farrukh and Mamur promptly fulfilled all our requests. At breakfast, I asked if there were syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes). There weren't any that morning, but they prepared and brought them to us within 15 minutes. Utair airline delayed our flight by 11 hours, and there were no available rooms to extend our stay at the hotel, but the administrators once again ensured our wait was comfortable. We waited for our flight in the cozy hotel lobby. I'd also like to mention the hotel's location, which in our opinion, is the most convenient in Samarkand: a 5-minute walk to Registan, and excellent access to the hotel. Pros… * Location: 15 mins walkable distance to Registan square and a couple other attractions * Breakfast: a great variety of options ~ hot & cold + few options of fruits and pastries / desserts * Room: it was ok apart from the AC… which was dripping water once turned on.. hot water available for shower which was great! Beddings were good, a fridge, iron board, iron, a keep safe box, bath robes, 2 bottles of water available in room. Amenities: hairdryer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, hand wash, tooth brush, tooth paste and cotton buds were provided Cons… * Breakfast: starts at 8am and ends at 10am. It starts kind of late especially when some people of early start * Fitness center: only cardio machine available. Lights are never on, AC not on… also starts 8-8pm just really isn’t ideal timing especially during summer where people may wanna use the gym first thing before they have breakfast/ explore then come back for the gym.. hence I never got chance to use at all… it also looks like it’s never open… it gives a very off putting vibe. The swimming pool looks nice though.

Shahjahon Hotel is located in a very unassuming neighborhood, tucked among local houses and small shops. But once you step through its gates, you’re welcomed by a magnificent, quintessentially Uzbek façade, charming! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy after a long day of exploring. We were treated to a typical Uzbek breakfast, generous and nourishing. The hotel is just a short walk from Registan Square and the main historical attractions, making it very convenient. A lovely and comfortable base for exploring Samarkand.

Pros: 1. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Registan Square – incredibly convenient! 2. The room size is reasonable, and the facilities are great. There are hot and cold water dispensers on each floor, which is very handy. The room also has a small fridge, perfect for keeping drinks cold in the summer. 3. Downstairs is the hotel's own highly-rated restaurant, and there are two other restaurants nearby, making dining incredibly convenient. There are also small shops around for buying drinks and snacks. 4. As mentioned above, since the hotel has its own restaurant, the breakfast quality goes without saying. 5. The price is reasonable; I stayed in a single room for three nights for just over 500. Cons: The room seemed to have been recently painted, as there were a few drops of paint on the windowsill and mirror.
