"Quick check in, room is nice, 2 bedroom, attached 2 bathroom. One small living room. Good enough for 1 family. However, the water flow for bathtub at the master bedroom is very slow. So u will smell the humid toilet smell in the master bedroom. The design is nice, but please upgrade the bathtub water flow"

"The environment is fantastic for photos, no complaints there. I saw they offered breakfast and assumed it would be a buffet, but it turned out to be à la carte. And for about 78 RMB per person, it's pretty steep considering I booked it online for just over 100 RMB per person. One morning, I wanted to switch to the floating breakfast delivered to my room, which cost an additional 142 RMB. I picked it because it looks good for photos, so that's fine. However, I messaged their customer service the day before to ask for it at 8:30 AM the next morning, but they didn't reply, so I had no idea if it was confirmed. The next day, I had plans to go out at 9 AM and still no response. At 8:40 AM, I walked out the door and ran into the delivery person 🙃 It was ridiculous; how was I supposed to take pictures then? I was utterly speechless and frustrated. If it arrived at 8:40 AM, I'd have to eat and then take photos, otherwise it would be a waste. My mood for the day's travel was completely ruined. If you're going just for the photos, it's definitely worth it – you'll get some amazing shots. But skip the breakfast. The floating breakfast ended up being around 343 RMB, which is way too expensive. You could find other places to take pictures."

"The front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming, taking the time to explain the facilities and amenities available around the property. However, the check-in process felt somewhat disorganized, as our passports were collected and we were asked to wait at the side without much further guidance. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bed beautifully decorated with towel art, along with a complimentary dessert after we made a special request, despite having no expectations of receiving anything from the hotel. My husband and I truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture, it made us feel warmly welcomed. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience did not quite meet the standards we would expect from a 5-star hotel. The staff appeared somewhat inexperienced, and service was inconsistent. When we arrived, there were no available tables, yet we were instructed to enter and find a table ourselves. This left us feeling awkward as we stood around waiting for other guests to finish their meals. What made the experience more disappointing was that a family who arrived after us was promptly escorted to a table, while we were left to continue waiting, which felt unfair. We also had to repeatedly request utensils as some tables were properly set while others were not. While these may seem like minor issues individually, together they affected the overall dining experience and fell short of the level of service we would expect from a hotel that positions itself as a 5-star property. Overall, we enjoyed the room, hospitality, and thoughtful touches provided by the hotel. The stay had many positive aspects, but improvements in breakfast operations and service consistency would go a long way toward delivering the luxury experience that guests expect."

"During our trip to Langkawi, we stayed at Paddy Hills for 4 nights, and it wasn't just a comfortable stay, but an experience filled with warmth and genuine kindness. I absolutely have to write this review to sincerely thank the owner for their thoughtful hospitality! We originally booked a balcony king room, but upon arrival, the owner kindly upgraded us for free to a Villa Studio (a two-story unit). The room was surrounded by lush greenery, quiet and elegant, and felt incredibly therapeutic the moment we stepped in. The owner is a third-generation Chinese-Malaysian, and the hotel incorporates strong Chinese elements everywhere, making us feel right at home despite being in a foreign country – it instantly brought us closer. We were especially lucky that our stay coincided with the Chinese Lantern Festival. The owner even arranged a fireworks celebration! As guests from Shanghai (where fireworks have long been banned in the city center), seeing the brilliant fireworks light up the Langkawi night sky was an indescribable surprise and joy. It truly brought the festive spirit and sense of occasion to life. Breakfast arrangements were incredibly heartwarming. You could pre-order the night before, choosing from four Western main courses (A, B, C, D), and there was also a self-service buffet with local pastries, fresh fruit, and various drinks. Knowing we were 'Chinese stomachs' over 60 years old, the owner thoughtfully prepared hot, customized dishes like Nyonya rice, rice noodle soup, and fried noodles for us every day. It was so attentive and considerate; we ate comfortably and with peace of mind. The hotel's location in central Langkawi is super convenient for getting around. Grab taxis were readily available, arriving in 3-5 minutes, and trips to most places averaged just RM15, which is excellent value for money. The service team was also incredibly enthusiastic and friendly, always ready to help and quick to respond. Our entire stay was easygoing and comfortable. When we left the hotel for Rebak Island, the owner repeatedly reminded us: 'If you encounter any difficulties in Langkawi, call me anytime.' A simple sentence, yet it made us feel cared for like family in a foreign land, deeply touching us once again. This trip was made even more perfect because of Paddy Hills. Here, you'll find excellent and attentive service, a strong sense of human warmth, and genuine care that treats guests like family. The next time we come to Langkawi, Paddy Hills will definitely be our first choice, and we'll wholeheartedly recommend it to all our friends! We sincerely wish the owner prosperity and success in all their endeavors!"

"Our stay at Parkroyal Langkawi (Timeless Love By The Sea package) in Chenang was one of the highlights of our extended Malaysia trip. We hadn’t originally planned to stay here. While walking the full length of the lively Chenang beach from our Airbnb, we wandered into the hotel grounds and were immediately impressed by the well-maintained facilities and beautiful beachfront. What we thought was a private beach turned out to be wonderfully welcoming. We sat on the deck chairs, watched a couple enjoying a romantic beach dinner, and decided we wanted that experience too. After checking the rates, we found the pricing reasonable for a family. We booked directly with the hotel for two nights in a Premier Ocean View King Room, followed by two nights in Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms via Trip.com. The entire experience truly felt 5-star. We had read mixed reviews beforehand and went in with realistic expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised — almost everything exceeded what we anticipated. Check-in & Service On arrival, Hafeez handled our check-in smoothly. Since we were already on the island, we didn’t need the airport transfer, but we asked about using the return transfer for our whole family (including children arriving later). Concierge Saravannan went above and beyond by crediting the value of both transfers toward a larger 6-seater vehicle. We only needed a small Grab for the rest. This flexibility left a strong first impression. The Room Our Premier Ocean View Room (922) was excellent — stunning sea views, a large circular bathtub, an incredibly comfortable bed, and luxurious shower facilities. Minor signs of wear were easy to overlook. The room was high enough to avoid most pool and jet-ski noise, and we even enjoyed distant fireworks. The welcome chocolate pralines and sparkling wine were lovely touches. Dining The daily buffet breakfast was superb — a generous spread of Western and local dishes. We ate so well that lunch was rarely needed. Our first dinner at Cassia was decent, especially the sweet-and-sour fish with its nice charred flavour, though the pasta portion was small. Direct booking gave us RM50 F&B credit per day, which added good value. The undisputed highlight was our Candlelight Dinner on the lawn facing the beach. The beautifully decorated table made us feel like royalty. Service from Faheem, a 21-year-old staff member, was outstanding — attentive and proactive. A brief rain shower interrupted us after the first two courses, but the team quickly moved us into Lancava with the same setup. The food was excellent, especially the Sea Bass and Vongole pasta (flavourful clams with no fishy taste). The chef Mr Zul even came out personally to explain the dish. We saved dessert for the Ocean View Lounge, where Izzat served us cake and complimentary coffee. The coordination across departments was impressive. Second Stay & Family Time For our second subsequent booking, the hotel prepared one of the Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms early. A porter moved all our luggage so we could relax comfortably. The kids loved the pool, organised activities, playground, and kids’ club. The Deluxe rooms were spacious, though the sliding door sensor was overly sensitive compared to our Premier room. We enjoyed stepping out for affordable local food just across the street or into bustling Chenang. Breakfast was peaceful when we went early (7–8 am). This is one of the most detailed reviews I’ve ever written, but Parkroyal Langkawi genuinely earned it. From the warm Malaysian hospitality and constant smiles to the thoughtful service touches, every staff member helped create wonderful memories. It was the perfect relaxing end to our Malaysia trip — money very well spent. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team!"

"The hotel staff were very friendly; whenever there was a name change, they immediately contacted me to confirm the details were correct. I was very satisfied with my stay. They also offer a free airport shuttle service. Upon check-in, they mentioned they highly value privacy, so you need to contact them in advance if you want your room cleaned. There's no in-room phone; all communication is done via WhatsApp. The front desk would message to ask what time was convenient for housekeeping. Breakfast reservations can also be made through WhatsApp. The bed was very comfortable, and I was most satisfied with the unlimited complimentary bottled water. Soft drinks were also provided free of charge."

"If you are looking for authentic old skool architecture then temple tree resort is deff the place to go. Its got modern amenities while being authentic with the structure. If you are allegic to feline dander or just arent the friendliest with cats, stay away as theres a few residents. One thing to consider is the akwardness of the toilet bowl positioning for penang house 1. I am on the larger side and this posed abit of an issue and required manuevering acts to say the least. Choose a different house but dont let this stop you. The breakfast had a good choice and lovely fresh baked pastries i appreciated!"

"The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful; they even upgraded our room to one with sunbeds and a terrace for our honeymoon, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel is new and clean, and the breakfasts are decent, offering everything you'd expect for a European breakfast (omelets, cheeses, fruits, pastries – all good quality). The hotel also has an excellent spa that I highly recommend. They have a separate bungalow for massages with its own bathroom, shower, and terrace. The prices are reasonable, and the massage was superb (and I speak from experience). There are two fantastic, new tennis courts at the hotel. The beach is clean and spacious, with easy entry into the water and no big waves, making it perfect for families with children. The hotel also caters to adults with an 'adults-only' pool area (a quiet, lovely spot with a good menu). The staff there are responsive and attentive. Highly recommended!"

"Good afternoon. The villa matches the photos on the website. It's clean and has everything you need. There's a wonderful pool in the courtyard, so you can even swim! Contactless check-in. The beach and cafe are a 10-minute walk away! We loved everything!"
