"This hotel was brilliant! The staff are amazing and always greet you every time you see them! This hotel is located up a hill, which would be a bit dangerous walking up and down (we didn’t do it) so you do need to get a taxi to go into the town or use the hotel shuttle which only runs twice a day. Our room was beautiful and looked out onto the amazing view! The breakfast at this hotel is both à la carte and buffet, which allowed us to do a bit of both and you can order as much as you want! We also enjoyed the grill night at the hotel which was delicious where we enjoyed traditional Thai dishes as well as unlimited grilled meat! Would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a chilled hotel with gorgeous views!"

"Silavadee Pool Villas Samui: An Honest Review 🇹🇭 Silavadee Pool Villas, Koh Samui My honest thoughts after staying at this popular cliffside villa. 🏝️ Location: Even closer to the sea than the neighboring Banyan Tree. The hotel is nestled on a cliffside promontory at Lamai Beach, right next to the Banyan Tree. However, Silavadee's overall terrain is more beachfront, directly facing the entire bay, giving it a naturally superior ocean view. Surrounding amenities aren't the most convenient: The nearest convenience stores and restaurants are at least a 15-minute walk away. If you don't want to walk, don't worry – the hotel offers complimentary shuttle services to Chaweng Beach and Lamai Town, making getting around quite hassle-free. 🏡 Room Types & Recommendations: Ocean View Villa The hotel primarily features detached Thai-style villas, categorized into first-row ocean view, partial ocean view, and garden view villas, along with basic standard rooms. My immediate impression was that the indoor room space wasn't as large as advertised. However, the private terrace and private pool with ocean views more than made up for it. On the first night, we were assigned Villa 28. There was an observation deck in front, obstructing the ocean view. Not only was the view incomplete, but the privacy of the terrace was very poor – you could see directly into the room from outside. I immediately contacted the front desk, and they kindly moved us to Villa 29 the next day, free of charge. This villa offered an unobstructed panoramic ocean view, and the terrace was completely private with a phenomenal view – a world of difference! 👉 Tip for your stay: Be sure to request a first-row ocean view villa, specifically number 29 or higher. Villas 26 and 27 also offer better ocean views. If you're only planning to stay in a basic room type, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. 🌊 Public Areas & Beach: Stunning pools, average beach The hotel's overall public area isn't particularly large, but it boasts two expansive infinity pools perched on the cliffside overlooking the ocean, perfect for photos. It also has a private beach at the foot of the hill, but it's quite rocky, and the sand is coarse, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot. It's fine for taking pictures, but not ideal for leisurely strolls or swimming. 🍴 Dining: The hotel's biggest highlight, breakfast is divine! The only absolutely flawless aspect of this hotel is its dining. It completely exceeded my expectations, comprehensively outshining the InterContinental I stayed at previously in terms of taste and ambiance! 1. Cliffside Breakfast Restaurant The breakfast restaurant is built on the cliff, offering a 180° unobstructed ocean view. It operates on a buffet-plus-à-la-carte model, and all the freshly prepared dishes are consistently excellent – you can't go wrong. Every dish has amazing flavor and seasoning, and enjoying breakfast with the sea breeze is an incredibly blissful experience. 2. MOON Restaurant (popular spot) Previously a dedicated breakfast spot, it's now exclusively for dinner. Located next to the second main pool, it offers a fantastic ambiance for a romantic dinner, enjoying Western cuisine and seafood with the sea breeze at dusk. ⚠️ Real Drawbacks: Consider carefully before booking It's a bit overpriced, heavily leans into its 'influencer hot spot' status, and attracts many Chinese tourists. During peak season, room rates are high, and considering the overall amenities, it's not particularly cost-effective. ✍️ Final Recommendation for Your Stay This is a cliffside 'influencer' hotel with very polarized pros and cons. Its advantages are the stunning cliffside ocean views, private pools in individual villas, and a top-tier cliffside breakfast. Its downsides include challenging uphill walks, many mosquitoes, average amenities, and a less-than-ideal value for money. If you decide to stay: I only recommend booking a first-row ocean view villa or higher. I absolutely do not recommend booking basic room types. Make sure to communicate in advance to avoid Villa 28, which has an obstructed view!"

"What an incredible stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. The location is perfect, right on the beach, with beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it very hard to leave. The service is truly five star. The staff are absolutely outstanding and go above and beyond in every way. Nothing is too much trouble, and they genuinely care about making your stay special. It is rare to experience hospitality at this level. The whole experience felt polished, professional, and luxurious. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Yes, it is expensive, but in this case you genuinely get what you pay for. We did not mind paying for that level of service and quality. We would absolutely return."

"Service was excellent right from the start. We could have breakfast in room for one the mornings. Our “secret room” was exclusive and super private. Room service tasted awesome. The team initiated late check out at 3pm to accomodate our departure flight back. Super recommended if you are coming for your special occasion trips or just a restful getaway. Location is 3min from Central Samui where supermarkets and restaurants are just stone’s throw away."

"The hotel is just a few meters away from the beach. We had the balcony with no sea view and still got to see the ocean. It was beautiful would definitely stay here again. Although I would recommend to air out the room first as we dealt with humidity smell for the first two nights."

"Overall, this hotel is very good. From the moment we walked in, the staff asked us to beat a drum at the entrance, symbolizing good luck. While waiting to check in, they gave us blessing ropes, showing the hotel's thoughtful touches. The staff were very service-oriented, especially one girl with a very kind smile. She often waved us off as we left and waited until we got into the car, which was incredibly heartwarming. The style and facilities of the hotel room were excellent. It had a courtyard-style balcony, and the bathroom was quite large with a good-sized soaking tub; it was generally very comfortable. However, all the rooms we booked were on the second floor, which was inconvenient for the elderly in our group due to daily stairs. Moreover, on our first day, the room below us was a pool access room, and they were noisy from the afternoon until past midnight. I called the front desk to complain at 9 PM, and they immediately sent staff to address it, but the noise started up again later. Closer to midnight, I messaged Trip.com to communicate the issue. The next day, a staff member found me during breakfast to apologize for the behavior of the guests downstairs and offered to change our room to a different type that day. I was very satisfied with the hotel's ability to resolve problems. If you need anything at the hotel, you can call the front desk at any time, including requesting a buggy to the restaurant and beach. The hotel property has many slopes, and it's quite hot, so walking isn't ideal. The beach is beautiful, and there are many free water activities. My child spent one day kayaking and another day paddleboarding. The hotel's breakfast was a semi-buffet, semi-à la carte style. The variety wasn't small, but the overall quality was average."

"This hotel is simply magnificent, and the service is beyond excellent; you truly feel like a valued guest. During our week-long stay, the hotel kindly offered us one complimentary lunch and one dinner, which was a very pleasant surprise. Both the beach restaurants and Saffron offer wonderful dining experiences. Breakfasts were also thoroughly enjoyable, with champagne and Bloody Marys available. There were always little presentations happening, a small touch but much appreciated. The beach itself is superb: clean, warm water with no waves. We enjoyed snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. The beach service was outstanding, with constant provisions of water, ice, and chilled towels. Cars were always at our villa within 3 minutes, so we never had to wait. We will definitely return next time, but we'll opt for a sea-view villa. The views from there are simply incredible."

"This is our second visit to Anavana Beach Resort, and once again, it was a complete delight! We deliberately returned here, and the hotel not only met but exceeded our expectations. The moment we checked in was especially touching: we were greeted with such warmth, as if we had returned home. Champagne and fruit were waiting for us in our room, and the bed was decorated with petals with the touching inscription, ”Welcome Home.” This created an incredibly warm and joyful atmosphere from the very first moment. A special thanks to Ms. Phassanan (Khun Phassanan) for the warm welcome and attention to every detail of our return! A special thank you for the top-notch massage—it was a true gem at the resort. The professionalism of the massage therapist, the relaxing atmosphere, and the caring attitude towards guests left an unforgettable impression. I also want to highlight the restaurant with its varied and incredibly delicious menu. Every meal was a true gastronomic delight, from hearty breakfasts to exquisite dinners with a local flair. We were also consistently delighted by: • The emerald, well-kept grounds, immersing us in a state of tranquility; • The genuinely caring staff, who remember you and are always ready to help; • The impeccably clean and comfortable rooms. Thank you for your hard work, attention, and genuine hospitality! For us, Anavana is more than just a hotel, but a place we want to return to again and again."

"I loved the location of the hotel, the happy hour, and the wide variety of breakfast options. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend the whole day relaxing, with beautiful swimming pools and plenty of activities to enjoy. There are a couple of areas that could be improved. One of the lifts was out of order during our stay, and the staff could have been a bit more attentive overall. A special shoutout to the male staff member who led the activities, including making fish from coconut leaves, boxing, and yoga. He was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and did an amazing job making the activities fun and engaging. He really made our stay more enjoyable. Overall we’ll come back again."

"Good Services from staff since check in until check out. Breakfast is super. We enjoy activity from the hotel and the location is very convenient. The beach here isvery beautiful with white sand and peacful. We will come back for sure. This is not first time to stay in Centara Reserve but the hotel services are very high standard."
