GGuest UserIf you get the chance to visit Longji/Longsheng to hike through the amazing rice paddies, then you absolutely must stay at Li'An Lodge. The rooms are lovely, clean and quaint, and a cultural alternative to the more modern options in the larger cities. The lodge is run by Aaron who goes above and beyond to help visitors, give local recs, and speaks perfect English. He will also help you avoid any tourist traps.
Li'An lodge is also built on the highest point so you have a fabulous view, and is situated right at the starting point of the main hike in local area. The rooms give you a great view of the rice paddies and the village.
The food is simple and great, or you can eat around the town, which is very atmospheric. We came in the low season end of March, which was misty but fab and we had most of the places to ourselves.
Really can't recommend enough. If you get to Guilinxi (station) they will send a driver to get you. You can also book directly with the hotel over email with Aaron which is easy and efficient.

GGuest UserI stayed for two days, and the owner's service attitude was superb. It's one of the best services I've experienced while traveling both domestically and internationally over the years.
The accommodation's location is a prime spot for photos, very Instagrammable. Their food is also excellent; I highly recommend the candied taro. When it's hot, you can pull it into strings – anyone who loves sweet and sticky treats must try it.
During my two-day stay, I encountered several groups of foreigners, and I even saw their place featured on international social media platforms. Anyway, next time I visit Longji, I'll definitely choose them again and stay for a few more days to truly relax...

AAnonymous UserSuper friendly and helpful boss. The room is clean and has air conditioning, although there is no need to turn it on at night. It is quite cold at night when I was here in mid September. They serve a sumptuous breakfast and provide free laundry service. Beautiful view of the rice terraces especially at night when the lights are turned on. The price is not the cheapest in the village but definitely value for money. The hotel is up on the hill and can be a quite tiring climbing to it.

GGuest UserWhat a find! This guesthouse is absolutely excellent. When staying at guesthouses, you always worry about things not living up to expectations, and while the online photos looked great, this place really nailed the details. From the bedsheets to the toiletries, from the tea to the food at their restaurant – I highly recommend their spicy chicken and rice paddy fish – everything shows the owner's dedication. It felt just like being at home, very reassuring. The staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly accommodating. I hope your business continues to thrive, and that you stay true to your original vision and maintain this level of service quality.

FFdidovicOne of the my best stays in all around China. Hotel is in very nice location close to parking lot and owner come to pick up from station and also drop off for free. Hotel also have breakfest in the morning and you can oreder they have good menu. I oreder to local dishis both was perfect also i pay a little bit for the portion bit in location like this i was expected to pay anyway it was worth because protions of food was big and also i got for free tea and rice wine as a gift. Room are very big and soeaceaships i have few different views from my Bathoroom was small window and view close to rice fields from balcony is nice panoramic view to the all village and rice fields

GGuest UserThe guesthouse is located in Tiantouzhai, just a short walk from the viewing platform, which I personally feel is the best of the several viewing platforms, probably the second highest, but best for watching the sunrise and panoramic views. If you're lucky (good weather, and at the beginning or end of the ***** month), you can see a sky full of stars from the hotel's terrace at night, but you'll have to wait until later, after most of the surrounding lights have been turned off. The overall atmosphere is very soothing, perfect for relaxing after several days of travel. The service is excellent, and the owner's wife is a very good cook, quite rare, catering to a wide range of tastes. The guesthouse can book tickets back to Guilin, and the owner was very hospitable when we left, helping us get to the bus stop at the scenic area entrance.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is truly excellent. It's really convenient for visiting the three scenic viewpoints and is very close to the Dazhai car park. The owner will pick you up from the Dazhai car park and take you to the hotel. They even help arrange a direct bus from Guilin to the Dazhai car park. The food at the owner's place is also delicious, made with fresh ingredients. If I have the chance to visit again, I'll definitely choose this place.

AAnonymous UserWhat truly stood out was the balcony and the breathtaking views from it; you can see vast rice terraces right from your room. The guesthouse is tucked away deep inside the village, making it a wonderfully peaceful and quiet spot. The owner is very accommodating; if they're available, they'll drive down to pick you up from the foot of the mountain, and for the return journey, an uncle will give you a ride back down on his motorbike. Do be prepared for mosquitoes and insects, as they are common in the mountains and might even get into your room. The guesthouse is conveniently located between two main viewpoints: it's a 15-minute walk to 'Thousand-Layer Terraces' and 20 minutes to 'Xishan Shaole'. I went to 'Thousand-Layer Terraces' every day to enjoy the scenery. Getting to 'Jinfoding Peak', however, requires careful navigation. I believe I missed an unmarked shortcut, which resulted in a much longer trek. It took me about an hour and a half of combined uphill and downhill hiking to reach 'Jinfoding Peak'. Even if I had found the shortcut, I estimate it would still take over an hour. The locals at the guesthouse claimed it only takes 40 minutes, but I suspect that's because they're familiar with the shortcuts and are in excellent physical condition. For anyone who isn't very fit, my strong advice is to take the cable car directly from the Dazhai car park to 'Jinfoding Peak' on your first day, explore it thoroughly, and then head down to the guesthouse.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, the mattress and blankets were comfortable and warm, and the shower water was hot and plentiful. Standing on the balcony, you could see the entire rice terrace area, and they even provided a tripod for recording the sunrise – a rare find! The lovely landlady was warm and thoughtful, preparing ginger tea to warm everyone up, and serving local rice wine during the meal – fragrant and smooth. She also provided a basket of ethnic costumes, which we all enjoyed taking photos of. Furthermore, the hotel's public areas were exceptionally large; besides places to drink tea, read, or relax, there were even tables and ping-pong tables!

GGuest UserAll these photos were taken from the balcony of the B&B! ! The owner of the B&B is very hospitable and the food is super delicious. I had to eat another bowl of my favorite noodle soup before leaving! With such a beautiful view and the friendly local Red Yao proprietress, we stayed one more night. Come on everyone, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, beyond words! ! !
