An excellent stay on Shengshan Island. Before we even arrived, the owner already contacted us on WeChat with information about our stay and gave us very comprehensive tips for our stay. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to the boat port, the main entry onto Shengshan, and it is just across it. The owner was waiting for us when we arrived off the boat and helped us get our luggage. They have a very convenient luggage lift which means that you don't have to lug anything up the stairs. The hotel feels clean, luxurious, comfy and homely at the same time. It is a family run hotel and the reception is very warm. Our room was very clean and everything that was needed was provided. The view was spectacular from our room (image provided). The bed was very comfy and the lounger was perfect for watching the sea within the comfort of your room. The pool downstairs is great to cool off after a day out exploring. The breakfast provided was very nice and simple, some youtiao (Chinese fried dough, similar to churros), soy milk and sweet and savoury buns. All in all an excellent experience, and we thank the hosts for everything.

On the last day we went to the town to eat, the proprietress sent us to the restaurant first, and then sent us to the pier after we finished eating. It was absolutely intimate service! The room was clean, the bedding was clean and tidy, the bath water was comfortable, and the rest was good. This time it was a group trip. I booked the hotel in advance and tried the craftsmanship of the proprietress next time.

So beautiful island and cute hotel. For me was really big surprise that near Shanghai have such a small and cute place. We choose this hotel because of the pool. It’s was so amazing to open balcony and see u private pool. Actually one pool is sharing between 2 room but nobody swim, so everything was only for us. Also the staff in the hotel is helpful, helped with booking tickets, explained about islands, took us to show bioluminescent plankton. Could be nice if hotel provide one free coffee for breakfast (now need to pay) and some international food (was traditional chinese breakfast)

The two beds were spacious and separate, ensuring privacy. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the breeze was very pleasant. The room was clean and the facilities were new. It's also close to Jihu Beach, making it convenient for activities.
