"After we arrived on the island, the B&B had someone come pick us up, which was very thoughtful service. When we got there, the lovely owner even gave us a free room upgrade. The sea-view room was really nice, and facing the ocean instantly put me in a great mood! In the evening, two young women from the B&B took us 'tear chasing' (looking for bioluminescence), but we weren't lucky enough to see it that night. They diligently took us to several different spots, and we still got to enjoy the night view of the sea, which was a great experience. The only minor drawback was that the cleanliness could be improved."

"We stayed at this guesthouse on our second night on the island. Since we were driving there, we called ahead to ask about parking. As soon as we entered the alley, an auntie came towards us, looking at us intently. We realized she was the guesthouse owner there to greet us, worried we wouldn't be able to find the place. After arriving, we put our things down and went out to explore. We returned very late that night, and the auntie asked what time we were getting up for breakfast and prepared it for us. The next morning, when we came downstairs, she brought us food; the fried dough sticks were freshly fried and very fragrant. After breakfast, as we were about to leave, I saw some tangerines on the auntie's table and really wanted one, so I asked her. To my surprise, she immediately put several from her basket in my bag for us to eat on the way. In the afternoon, after we finished exploring and came back to get our luggage, my husband got a bit of heatstroke because of the heat. I asked the auntie where we could buy some Huoxiang Zhengqi Water (a traditional Chinese medicine for heatstroke). She immediately got up, went and got a box for us, and even poured water over it because it tasted awful. The guesthouse owner brought out a lot of bottled water for us to take on the road. When we left, the elderly couple helped us with our things and saw us off. I casually complimented the dried shrimp drying by the door, and we were about to drive away when the auntie came in, got a bag, and filled a large bag for me to take home and eat, even telling me how best to cook them. This trip to Shengsi, staying at a guesthouse, felt like visiting relatives during a holiday. Although it was only for one night, the guesthouse owner really took care of us like a child. Because we were in a rush, I didn't even take pictures of the room, only a quick photo of the auntie seeing us off in the car as a memento. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Shengsi. Thank you again."

"I found a special place to live on Flower and Bird Island on the Internet, and I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I didn't book the popular Guanlan room type. I was still a little lost. After I came, I found that I was worried. There are many places where the hotel can watch the sunset, the balcony, the pool, and the big lawn. It is especially comfortable to sit for a while in the evening and blow the sea breeze. If you want to watch the sunrise, you can go back to the mountain to the cornerstone and have a wide view. There is very little light pollution here, and the weather is good. At night, you can look up at the stars. The staff are very good, and the housekeeper responds quickly if there is something. Don't rush the trip, just stay slowly and empty yourself. The whole person is loosed a lot after a trip. If you come to Huaniao Island again, you should come back to live. There is also a cute kitten, cured ～"

Next time the weather is good, I will choose to live in a frontal sea view room 👍."

"Facilities: The facilities are excellent. Though it's called a guesthouse/B&B, it feels much like a hotel, complete with a front desk and a buffet breakfast (although the variety was a bit limited). They have a swimming pool and swings, which are absolutely perfect for Instagram-worthy photos! We booked an RV, which was compact but had everything we needed. Cleanliness: Excellent. Ambiance: It's a secluded retreat with a beautiful Santorini-style design. At night, you can see countless stars, and even faintly spot the Milky Way! Service: They offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off service from either Gouqi Wharf or Shengshan Wharf, which is a fantastic perk. There's also a welcome drink upon check-in."

"The room was very clean. The bathroom layout was a bit puzzling and could really benefit from better wet/dry separation. However, it seems many guesthouses on this island have less-than-ideal bathrooms. The host (Jiejie) was incredibly kind. We felt terrible for waking her up at 5 AM this morning when we went to see the sunrise and forgot our room key. She also took us to see the bioluminescent sea the night before last, which was absolutely stunning. The ocean view from the room perfectly matched the photos in the listing. We were also very lucky this trip. The forecast predicted three days of rain before we arrived, but we had sunshine on the first and third days. Our gamble paid off, and we were treated to beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Breakfast was also good. Highly recommended!"

He not only proactively helped with our luggage but also provided pick-up and drop-off services and responded instantly to any questions we had. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Shengsi!"

"Very satisfied, a very happy experience. I picked and chose this one among various B&Bs. It is not on the road next to Jihu Beach, so it is much quieter. The dishes cooked by the proprietress in the store are also delicious! It is mainly clean and hygienic. You can see the sea when you go out of the balcony. I will stay here again next time I have the chance!"

"We booked a sea view room, which was a great experience. The beach is right outside the door. Go up the stairs, which are a combination of white and blue, a bit like Santorini, in Nordic style. The charming island is monotonous and not very valuable anyway, and there are two people who want to eat, so it is a place to treat them."
