PPatrick Boland nzWithout doubt this was the best place we've stayed in during our six visits to Thailand. The location was stunning.
The level of service and unfailingly courteous and friendly attitude from every single member of staff was something to behold. And you could tell that this attitude stemmed from the owners themselves, who were so warm but professional in all their dealings with everyone.
This attitude was infectious, and we found that all the guests were relaxed, and perhaps engaged more with people who they'd not normally mix with. A truly magnificent facility, which perfectly matched its jaw dropplinly stunning location.

AAdventure Of Tin TinForget all other hotels, get the sea view room, this one is the best. It’s a little pricey but it’s well worth it, sitting at the balcony drinking is itself a great experience to spend the night instead of in a noisy expensive bar. The pier and taxi boats are right outside the hotel, and all the nicest restaurants are next to the hotel with the sea view. Treat yourself and book it already!

AA MoroIn April, my wife and I had a great week on Thailand's most beloved island! Previously, we visited 8 different hotels on the island and always stayed on Ton Sai Beach on the right side, from where it takes an equally long walk to Long Beach in the afternoon and to the city in the evening. The Mountain Beach Resort has solved this problem even more effectively: shuttles run hourly to its own beach and to the city and back. Upon arrival, we received a free upgrade: a room on the top floor (as we requested) with fantastic sea views, a large balcony, a huge comfortable bed, a YouTube TV (we remembered all the episodes of ”Sherlock”), a small refrigerator. And if you move the sofa correctly, you'll get a chic dining area with a corner viewing window. The bathroom is clean and spacious, and the warm water in the shower is often invigorating) We especially liked the constant feeling of privacy, even when travel companies arrive, the area looks quiet, beautiful and sparsely populated. Breakfast is a very decent buffet in a spacious outdoor cafe. The beach is super: impassable, in the very left corner of the beach, it is small, but as cozy as possible, with sun beds and umbrellas, good shade, with its own pool, cafe and massage room, directly opposite the best diving spot on Shark Point island with huge coral tables, diverse fauna, eels and reef sharks come across. The beach is looked after by a hotel employee who provides mattresses and, if necessary, scuba diving equipment (for an additional fee). The hotel has a unique value for money, but the main advantage is the incredibly attentive and friendly staff: it was as comfortable, easy and pleasant as possible! This is exactly the case when, returning from a trip, you really start to get bored and remember such a bright and happy time with a sad smile!

GGuest UserThis hotel is quite isolated, nestled away on a secluded part of the island, making it ideal for truly unwinding and enjoying some peace. It boasts a private beach where snorkeling gear is available to borrow free of charge. A quick heads-up: watch out for very large sea urchins, so water shoes are a must if you plan to swim. Given its remote location, be aware that dining options are limited to the hotel's restaurant, unless you're prepared to travel back to the harbor. While you can book excursions through the hotel, you'll need a minimum of four people, or you'll have to book a pricier private tour. The food was good. Breakfast offers a choice of three very substantial dishes. The hotel staff were very friendly, and daily room service was a plus. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and relax on a beautiful beach, though I wouldn't suggest staying for more than 5 days.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel has mixed reviews . I stayed there at the end of August and I’d say it’s not too bad or that different from nearby hotels . The hotel is right by Long Beach beach , they have a small pool by the entrance. They have a restaurant and a bar just next door. The room was nice and big the only downside was the shower , it was old and rusty but quite clean . I think they just need to do a few renovations. It wasn’t loud pretty peaceful and the breakfast on the second day was nice too. The staff is very very nice and always ready to help you with anything. They sent a water taxi to bring me to the hotel from the pier and take me back after I checked out. They also helped me book my speedboat to Phuket. Honestly the only bad thing is that it’s a bit old. The bathroom needs serious help . No bad smells and only saw one single gecko the whole time I was there . I’d probably stay there again when I have a travel buddy .

YYY301Near to Ton Sai Pier and they arranged pick up plus porter services to and from the pier, which is very thoughtful. Room is spacious and the view is overlooking the beach. Staff are very friendly and go the extra mile. Absolutely happy with my stay.
