The rooftop pool is stunning, and there's a bar up there too, though it's open to non-hotel guests. This means it can get quite crowded with people taking photos, so I hope they consider restricting access a bit."

"This is my third stay at Gras this year. Upon entering, I noticed two pairs of earplugs, which made me suspect they'd received numerous complaints about motorcycle noise. Indeed, the soundproofing at Gras isn't great; on my previous two visits, I was often woken up by tour groups chatting loudly in the hallway late at night! This time, it seems my neighbors were all solo travelers, so it was much quieter. Since my second visit, I've specifically requested rooms with balconies not facing the street, and my friends traveling with me have also made similar requests for room changes. The front desk and lobby staff were all very welcoming and provided excellent service. I do have a suggestion, though. For room 1410, where I stayed for a week, the bathroom drain was a bit slow, and one of the outdoor AC unit fans on the balcony made a strange noise. At night, I had to turn off one AC unit to sleep because the noise was quite loud – I imagine it would disturb the neighbors. Perhaps these details could be addressed and maintained?"

"The food was delicious, and the staff provided excellent service. The room was clean and tidy, but the air conditioning wasn't very cool. They have bowling, a pool table, and a kids' zone. Parking is convenient, and the room view is stunning. The hallways are beautiful and don't feel spooky at all. I'll definitely go back."

"Went to Thailand for Songkran with friends. After Bangkok, we headed to Pattaya. This hotel we booked is in a great location, only a 10-15 minute walk from Pattaya Beach and Walking Street. Transportation and dining options are convenient around here. The best part is the front desk lady was very kind and spoke excellent Chinese, so communication was completely seamless. When checking out, I added the owner on WeChat and found out he's from Yunnan! The room was clean and tidy, and you can smoke on the balcony. I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"Loved it! The environment was fantastic, and the room was huge with a bathtub, which my friend and I both really enjoyed. The only minor issue was that there weren't enough bellhops at the entrance. They got quite busy when there were a lot of guests checking in or out. When we left, no one was available to help us load our luggage into the car, but it wasn't a huge deal. Every staff member inside was very friendly, and the restaurant food was quite good too."

"We had a bit of a hiccup during check-in. We booked a sea view suite, and the description on Trip.com stated it would have a 1.8-meter king bed plus a 0.8-meter sofa bed in the living room. However, when we arrived, it was just a regular sofa. The hotel claimed they never had a sofa bed and asked me to provide proof from the vendor (Trip.com) that one was advertised. I showed the front desk the screenshot, and after some negotiation, they provided a complimentary rollaway bed for the living room (originally 1000 THB per night). This whole ordeal took about half an hour. First, the pros: The environment is absolutely amazing. Both balconies offer sea views, and the breeze on the top floor is fantastic – very comfortable to stand out there. The breakfast menu changed slightly every day, and the fried fish cakes were delicious. All the hotel staff, from the front desk to the cleaning ladies, would greet you proactively. This is pretty standard for most hotels in Thailand. Now for the cons: For two people, they would only provide one room key, citing safety concerns. This made getting in and out very inconvenient. Also, if we left the room for a short while, like to go to the pool, the air conditioning would be forcibly cut off. I suspect they only provide one key to save electricity, preventing the AC from running when no one is in the room. The second con is that, possibly because it's on the top floor, the air conditioning was very ineffective. When we first entered, you had to sit directly under the vent to feel any coolness. Both AC units in the living room and bedroom were like this. Thankfully, once we settled down, it wasn't too hot and didn't affect our rest. The third con: On the third day, I woke up to a dead cockroach on the floor. I called room service, but they said they couldn't clean until after 8 AM (I probably made a mistake here and should have called guest services directly). So we left. When we returned that evening, the room had been cleaned, the sheets changed, and the tip I left on the bedside table was gone, but the cockroach carcass was still there. This time, I was smarter and called guest services. 'Dou Bao' (the translator on my phone, I assume) translated that there was a cockroach, and a staff member arrived within a minute with a broom and dustpan to take care of it. That guy was awesome!"
