Scenic Hotels in Gothenburg

"Staying at Clarion Hotel The Pier in Sweden turned out to be one of those experiences where you feel at ease almost immediately. There’s a certain warmth to the place that makes it stand out from the moment you walk through the doors. Friendly Staff Who Truly Welcome You What I noticed right away was how genuinely friendly the staff were. Every time we entered or walked past the front desk, we were greeted with a smile or a kind word. It’s such a simple gesture, but it created this feeling of being looked after, as if we were more than just passing guests. A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience The hotel’s setting struck the perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away. Beautiful Skyline and Water Views From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. A Studio Room That Feels Like Home Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I can’t stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. A Breakfast with Heart Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal."

"The hotel itself is very modern and nice looking. The rooms are not anything special but they are clean and have everything you need. The restaurants in the hotel are a plus, and the roomservice is therefore also delicious."

"It's a very good homestay. It's a 5-minute walk from the tram station, and the service attitude is very good. I will come back."

"The hotel is visible right from the train station, and it's also conveniently located near a tram stop. There's a large shopping mall nearby which is great for browsing. The hotel is very new, has a stylish design, and the bathtub was a pleasant surprise! The room is spacious, soundproof, and feels clean and hygienic. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious!"

"I booked this hotel for my birthday and it was honestly the best decision ever ! It was amazing, luxurious, staff were very nice and friendly . Housekeeping was done daily, we had a beautiful view to the garden and the pool. Would definitely come back again. Be aware there is a deposit you have to pay, £100 per night with a credit card or £200 per night with debit card which wasnt made clear on the website. Deposit was returned fairly quick."

"The air conditioning was too loud and wouldn't completely turn off for a break. I felt a bit claustrophobic in this room, and the window was too small. The furniture was too dark. The sink wasn't ergonomic; everything always got wet because the rim was so wide that you had to lean over, and then water would splash out. My wife didn't perceive everything the same way I did. The breakfast area was very nice, open, and pleasant. Overall, it's a mixed bag, unfortunately, I can't stay in this cramped room again, not willingly."

"My stay at the Scandinavian Crown Hotel was a wonderful experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to the central station, a godsend for travelers with luggage. Whether you're taking the train to the airport or visiting the city's main attractions, everything is easily within walking distance. The lobby is designed in a minimalist Scandinavian style, spacious and bright, with a very chic social space. Our room, while not particularly large, was impeccably clean, and the bed was the perfect firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. The windows were also well-insulated, so despite being near the station, it wasn't noisy at all. If you're looking for a hotel that's conveniently located, offers great value, and is comfortable, the Scandinavian Crown Hotel is definitely a great choice!"

"The room has a general sense of space, but the view is very wide and the windows are bright and clean. Breakfast is very rich. But the Scandic hotel chain now needs to scan the code in advance to book the daily room hygiene, which is a bit ”annoying”. The service staff has a good attitude and the expression is simple and clear."
