Xxy.fftUpon check in, the absolute angel front desk lady Mei Mei (梅梅) added us on WeChat and told us to contact her if we encounter any issues. The apartment feels a bit old but it’s still in okay condition. Because we’re in China we had quite a few parcels mailed to the hotel, the staff also helped us looked for them before bringing them to our room together with our luggage. The tv wire was disconnected when we arrived at the room, and it was kinda stuffy so we tried switching on the aircon. Apparently they operate on central air conditioning and the switch is only for heater (which is why it became pretty warm). I contacted god sent concierge and they arranged someone to fix the tv and to bring us a standing fan. It’s kinda odd that they only offered 1 free breakfast for my booking of 2 adults, it was alright since only me made it for the breakfast once for our entire stay. Overall it was a pleasant stay and the service is great. Breakfast is okay, mostly heavy asian style dishes. The hotel staff are pretty helpful and also accommodating. They helped to look for my parcels in the mailroom and left it outside our room door, a bit concerning because I had half a thought someone gonna steal my stuff lol. Worried for nothing bth. The location of the hotel is good, located near to the popular malls, and a short walk from the metro. There’s kfc and other eateries nearby, also a few convenience stores in case y’all don’t know how to *******. Mei Mei also checked in on me via WeChat knowing that we have checked out and returned to our home country.

This feels like a hotel with excellent value for money. The cleanliness and ambiance are both superb. I especially love the large refrigerator in the room; it can hold all the drinks I buy.

GGuest UserI stayed here for 2 days and found this apartment perfect for long-term business trips. The location is excellent, making my daily commute to the client's office very convenient.
The room is quite spacious. There are hooks by the door for coats, and the desk drawers have dividers, keeping chargers and notebooks neatly organized. The mattress provides good support, which is great for my back.
The microwave was the most useful appliance. The fridge is large enough, and the lidded trash can under the sink prevented any odors. The desk lamp provides soft lighting, so working on documents at night didn't strain my eyes.
The Wanda Plaza downstairs pretty much covers all daily needs: a supermarket, pharmacy, barber shop, bank, bubble tea shops, and even a dry cleaner. I sent my suit for cleaning and it was ready the next day. There are also several parcel lockers downstairs, so I could pick up online orders anytime. I asked the cleaning lady to come daily to change the sheets, vacuum, and wipe down surfaces. The room was always spotless when I returned.
Overall, this apartment feels like a fully functional small home, and it's incredibly convenient to live in.
**BCan’t beat the location. Super central to all the main sites on either side of the bund. Attentive staff and spotless facilities. Easy access to IfC mall and attached metro lines 2 & 14. Little less convenient for food/product deliveries (compared to some other properties) but nothing more than 5-10mins added time for delivery service to run up the driveway. Great view as well.

YYvonneFacilities: The first floor has a gym and yoga studio. The second floor is closed. Guest rooms are on floors three to seven. The eighth floor features a lounge, a media room, and an open-air mini lawn, perfect for dog walking. On guest room floors, there are small meeting rooms and shared kitchens with communal refrigerators. Upon asking the front desk, I found that most rooms are occupied by long-term tenants. The rooms themselves are spacious, equipped with washer-dryer combos and smart casting TVs.
Cleanliness: It's clean.
Environment: Located on Sanlu Road, surrounded by small shops and a McDonald's. Breakfast for rooms with breakfast included is usually purchased by staff in the morning and delivered to the room.
Service: The front desk operates from 9 AM to 9 PM. Food deliveries can be brought up by a robot, but most of the time delivery drivers just leave them on the first floor.
Overall, excellent value for money.
CChoupihuaniuThe room is exquisite with many lovely soft furnishings, and they're well done too. There were also some fruits and snacks, very generously provided. Although the hotel is quite old, the owner has clearly made an effort to perfect the details and ensure cleanliness. The staff were also very nice. Coupled with the excellent location, it's really quite good. My only complaint is that the duvet was too thick; I woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot.

Very Good
AAnonymous UserShanghai Pet-Friendly Apartment. I stayed at this apartment for about half a month, and overall it was great value for money. The two receptionists were very friendly and helpful, and also very pet-friendly. The overall experience was excellent. The apartment was very clean, parking was convenient, and there weren't many people around. The parking lot was quite empty. There's a green space next door, which is great for dog walking, making it very pet-friendly. I especially want to praise Trish.
GGuest UserConvenient location with metro train direct entrance around the corner or steps away via a popular food court with many yummy choices. Nice apartment layout. Clean and modern. The split level loft has stairs that may be challenging for ppl with knee problems or very overweight. Attentive and helpful staffs but not intrusive. My floor is quiet. I slept soundly every night. The bed is firm in the right way, super comfortable. There is a fully functioning kitchen with small yet proper refrigerator, conduction stovetop, pots and pan. The shower is strong and hot. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it from 3 to 6 nights. I will stay at Modena if I visit Shanghai again.
AAnonymous UserService: The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I arrived late at night, they assisted me warmly with the check-in process.
Room Type: I booked a duplex studio. The bed was very comfortable, and the upstairs bedroom had plenty of space, with ample closet room.
Environment: The duplex studio is located in Building B, right above the subway station. There's a McDonald's and FamilyMart nearby, and it's also very convenient to get to the airport.
First-day minibar amenity: The mini-fridge had a can of Coke and a can of soda, plus a small packet of instant noodles. A nice touch!

Ddiyarielari1I stayed here 2 months as a solo female traveler and had a decent experience. First off: Peter was WONDERFUL! He was so extremely helpful and keen that I should have a good time and I am really grateful for his attentive and kind communication. There is a large construction going on right by the building (and it will continue through Dec 2025) so there is noise every day from ca 09:00 to 22:00 (at the latest). Peter helped me change rooms immediately to one that was facing the courtyard, which was better (but lets face it, the noise is still there so if you want peace and quiet, this isnt it). In addition there were repair within the building too when I stayed - of course this is not to the fault of anyone.
** Pros: location is close to 2 metro lines, 2 shopping centres. Its very convenient to get most places and close to SHA airport (Pudong is further off). The security is good. The garbage station is open most of the day. They offered change of sheets and towels weekly which was great.
**Cons: the rooms are a bit old so there is a smell, I also was unlucky that the previous guest had smoked despite it being forbidden. Saw a cockroach once (but never again - be careful to throw away garbage quickly) and also the doors are quite thin so you'll hear your neighbors in the corridors. Rooms are ”surface” clean but not deep clean, so if you like squeaky clean like me you have to get your own materials. There is definitely buildup.
Overall it was a decent stay, and I left with a good feeling thanks to Peter and the nice staff there! Thanks!
