This hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! It's right next to Cuihu Park, literally just steps away. You can walk to Yunnan University and Kunming Old Street in just a few minutes. The hotel is a bit older but very well-maintained and comfortable. Breakfast is definitely a highlight, with a wide selection of Chinese, Western, and local Yunnan specialties. The freshly cooked rice noodles are amazing, and their French pastries are also a signature item. Overall, my stay far exceeded expectations. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming!

The hotel's decor is a bit old-fashioned, but all the facilities work perfectly. The air conditioning cools exceptionally well, and the shower has stable water pressure and temperature. The bedding and linens meet high hotel standards. The soft services were noticeably warm and thoughtful, especially the restaurant manager's service, which was the best I've experienced in all the hotels I've stayed at. Seeing that I was mostly taking Western breakfast items, she proactively asked if I wanted an iced Americano and even specially brought us two bowls of their signature rice noodles. The experience was truly nice!

The hotel is located in the city center, surrounded by a commercial district, and right next to Dongfeng Flower Street. It's also very close to Kunming Old Street and Xunjin Street, making it super convenient for sightseeing and getting around. While the room facilities are a bit dated, the hygiene is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. Free parking in the underground garage is a nice bonus. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I stayed for three consecutive nights and was very satisfied with both the hotel's environment and service. The front desk staff, lobby attendants, and doormen all demonstrated excellent service awareness. In particular, customer service representative Annie called me before my arrival to confirm my estimated arrival time and any specific needs for my stay. As I was traveling with a child, I shared some requests with her. Upon checking in, I was delighted to find that the room was prepared with everything a child might need, including toiletries, slippers, dental kits, and bathrobes. They even complimentary children's breakfast. I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for this. If I visit Kunming again, this will definitely be my top choice!

The hotel is in a great location, right in the prime area of Qingnian Road, surrounded by commercial districts like the Old Street. Many iconic landmarks are nearby and within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. LORI provided excellent service; when we asked about nearby dining options, she first inquired about our dietary restrictions before making recommendations, which was very professional. The food she suggested was also exactly to our taste.

Our overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel boasts an elegant Chinese-style ambiance, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. A staff member even contacted us the day before check-in to provide information about the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The location is fantastic, right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was tidy. The biggest surprise was the amazing atmosphere in the common areas, with a terrace, bar, and restaurant – perfect for chatting with travelers from all over the world in the evening. The staff were super friendly and patiently helped resolve any issues. It's highly recommended for backpackers, solo travelers, and small study groups. Choosing the Green Lake Hotel had a sentimental aspect for me. In my youth, I used to visit Yunnan every year, spending a day or two in Kunming each time. And every time I was in Kunming, I'd go to Green Lake, where I'd see the magnificent and bustling Green Lake Hotel. But due to various circumstances, I never got to stay there. Now, with more time on my hands, I finally managed to check it off my list. Although the Green Lake Hotel has aged, just like me, its essence remains, and it didn't disappoint. The location, right in the prime spot of Green Lake, goes without saying. The room, though small, was quite comfortable, and the breakfast met five-star hotel standards. The service, in particular, stood out. Li Ying (senior), Xiao Xi, and Xiao Xiao at the front desk patiently helped us adjust our room, always attentive and friendly. Upon check-out, Mr. Zhang Can and a lady escorted us to our car and even gave us a souvenir. Overall, the experience was great. To use a popular phrase these days, 'even an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari'.

This hotel is incredibly thoughtful. They helped us with a late check-out and even have a dedicated homework room for kids, which is fantastic for families traveling with children. It solved the problem of the room being too dim for my child to do homework or crafts. We were a bit rushed this time so we couldn't participate in the activities, but we'll definitely try to next time. A special thanks to the hotel butler; their service was excellent and they were very patient with the kids.

This is an international youth hostel, and there are indeed many foreigners here. The common areas have a great vibe, and the food and drinks are very affordable. It's super convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the East Gate of Cuihu Lake. If I could, I'd love to book it for two months next summer! Oh, a friendly heads-up: the room type I booked doesn't have air conditioning, only a fan. But it was quite cool, so the fan was perfectly fine. I stayed in room 506; the bed was very soft, the shower had good pressure and heated up quickly. The toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and shower gel were all good, and the toilet paper was quite thick. The only minor drawback was that the electric fan was a bit noisy. My friend stayed in 606; their water pressure was slightly lower, but the fan was silent, though the bed was a little firmer. Overall, I'm very satisfied! The washing machine and dryer are also a nice touch. All the staff speak English. While it's called a youth hostel, there are actually people of all age groups staying here.

This garden hotel is absolutely stunning! The garden is like a huge energy field; a walk through it every evening recharges you. A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who arranged a beautiful room with a direct view of the garden – it was so refreshing to open the window each day. The swimming pool is also fantastic! It's deep and spacious, with excellent water quality, making for a truly enjoyable swim. The room was cleaned promptly, and the housekeepers thoughtfully left four bottles of water, all neatly arranged! I was able to add the butler on WeChat, and during my five-night stay, I received fruit for three days, and two cans of coffee as a farewell gift! Our room rate included breakfast and dinner, and for all five nights, the food at the restaurant was consistently excellent! The Yunnan local dishes, in particular, were so delicious they almost brought tears to my eyes! The rice noodles were incredible, with four different types of toppings! I had rice noodles for both breakfast and dinner! The fruit selection was also abundant, with seven or eight varieties. I especially loved their freshly squeezed juices, particularly the cucumber juice. And they have an Indian chef whose flying bread and curry are simply divine! The location is superb! A short walk through Haigeng Hall leads you directly to Haigeng Dam, making it incredibly convenient to see the seagulls! Xishan and Haihong Wetland are also not far, perfect for a leisurely stroll. I hope to stay at InterContinental Hotel again on my next visit to Dianchi Lake. The quality and service far exceeded my expectations!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. I was quite hesitant before choosing it, especially after reading about the negative elevator incident, which made me really worry about safety. So, every time I took the elevator during my stay, I was on edge. The main reason I decided to stay was for the hot springs and swimming pool, as it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently, and I figured we'd just enjoy the hotel. Honestly, I wasn't particularly impressed with the service, and the facilities are quite old, very old. If it weren't for the constant rain and traveling with a child, I probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel. Especially after visiting Fuxian Lake, the comparison really highlighted its shortcomings.

The hotel is located right by Dianchi Lake, with separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians. There's an observation deck not far from the hotel, and it's about 800-900 meters to Haigeng Park and Haihong Wetland. However, you still have to walk further to get to the cable car station, and I estimate the dam is even further – I didn't go there. The hotel is 2.3 kilometers from Xingti Road Station on Metro Line 5. Our package included one complimentary drop-off service to the metro station, which was really good. It would be even better if they offered round-trip shuttle service to the metro for backpackers. However, there aren't many shops around the hotel. For dining, it's either the hotel restaurant or ordering takeout. Park 1903 Commercial Street is about 3 kilometers away, so it's more suitable if you have a car. The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and drivers were all incredibly gentle and friendly. The manager even proactively helped us with our luggage. The hotel is quite understated; in fact, the observation deck not far away offers amazing sunrise views, but they never promote it.

I ordered takeout, but the hotel doesn't allow the deliveryman to deliver to the room because it was inconvenient for me, so I asked the front desk for help, and it was delivered to the room very quickly. When I asked the reason, the front desk guy told me that it was for the safety of the guests that the deliveryman was not allowed to go upstairs. The hotel has trained guests that if they need takeout to the room, they can help deliver it. The overall feeling of the hotel is good, and the service attitude is very good. When I checked in, I asked about the surrounding attractions and routes, and they explained it very patiently. The room internet connection was very fast, and I asked the waiter, who told me that each room has an independent dedicated line. The room feels clean, and you can swim, exercise, and take a hot spring bath. Since I had a lot of fun, I didn't have time to take a few photos of the hotel. I will take more photos after I check in next time.

The hotel environment is quite good, located right by Dianchi Lake. The room facilities are nice, and the butler was very attentive – thumbs up!. However, the restaurant management needs improvement. After checking in on May 14th, it was my friend's birthday. Seeing that the hotel was nice, we decided to celebrate at the hotel restaurant. We went to the restaurant at 5 PM, hoping to book a private room early. The duty manager that day told us we couldn't enter a private room without a reservation. We explained that if there were empty private rooms, we'd like to book one on the spot. The manager adamantly refused, stating that reservations must be made half a day in advance. We assured them we would meet the hotel's minimum spend for the private room and proposed that booking now and returning a bit later could count as a reservation. But no, the manager sternly reiterated that reservations *must* be made half a day in advance. Having traveled all over Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan, this was the first time I've encountered such a situation. When you're under someone else's roof, you have to play by their rules, so we gave up and ate in the main dining area. After dinner, on our way back to the room, we passed the private room section – it was practically empty. The next day, we quickly checked out to find a hotel that actually lets you book a private room. I wonder if we'll find one in Kunming.

The breakfast offered a good mix of Western and Chinese options, including some delicious Yunnan specialty dishes. I had a very satisfying stay at this hotel. It's really close to the metro station, making it convenient to get anywhere. The front desk also offers free luggage storage. The hotel is only about 200 meters from Nanping Pedestrian Street, where you can find everything you need for dining, entertainment, and shopping. The hotel facilities are well-equipped, and the amenities provided are good. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Overall, it was a great experience.

I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the amusement park, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The hotel's garden environment is lovely, and the facilities are well-equipped, giving you a truly relaxing vacation vibe as you stroll around. The room facilities are all great, the bedding is comfortable, and the staff are always smiling and provide excellent service. A special shout-out to our butler, Clove, who responded promptly to our requests and helped us order food to our room every day – truly like a personal butler! We had a wonderful stay.

Century City area Kunming|8.51km from city centre
Honestly, this hotel's rating is definitely underestimated. It's a traditional, established five-star hotel. We got a free room upgrade, and the room was very spacious. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are all high-quality. The hotel also has a large parking lot and lobby, and the breakfast area is huge with a wide variety of options. I've stayed at Century Golden Resources in Chongqing, which is a renowned hotel there. I'm not sure why it seems to be perceived as lesser in Kunming; it's severely underrated. They offer free umbrella rentals, and there's a huge shopping mall nearby, making everything very convenient. The best part is that the prices didn't even go up during the May Day holiday, which is incredibly fair. The only drawback is that they are currently undergoing renovations, so it's a bit noisy during the day. However, we were out exploring during the day, so we mostly avoided the noise. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This hotel is great with excellent service. It also has a swimming pool and gym downstairs. The location is quite close to the airport, and only a few kilometers from Kunming city center, which is very convenient. The hotel's internet and facilities are all pretty good. I'd definitely recommend it.

Wow! I highly recommend this hotel! The front desk staff were incredibly warm, polite, and responsive to all requests. The room was spotlessly clean, well-arranged, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The absolute best part was the soundproofing – it was outstanding! I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise, which made for a perfect night's sleep. The hotel offers free parking, which is great for anyone traveling by car. The overall environment is quiet and elegant, and it offers excellent value for money. It's suitable for both short and long stays, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

The hotel is located in 1903, which is very convenient for travel and shopping. The breakfast ingredients are fresh and taste great. The room has good lighting and is very comfortable. There is a self-service laundry room on the second floor, as well as a gym. The service of the front desk and the cleaning lady is also great. It will definitely be the first choice when I come to Kunming next time.

Staying at this hotel was such a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive throughout my entire stay, providing meticulous and thoughtful service. The bed in the room was wonderfully soft and comfortable – I instantly felt all my travel fatigue melt away. I also really appreciated the smart dry/wet separation design in the bathroom, which made it super convenient to use. The overall decor beautifully blended Chinese style with ethnic elements, creating a charming and classic ambiance that felt truly relaxing. My overall experience was fantastic!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at 26 Life hotel thank to the staffs and its location. What we like most here: 1. Staff: Xiao Bai and Xiao Wan, the 2 receptionists are lovely guys. Xiao Bai pick us up outside of the buiding to help us with the luggage. He is also professional in handling his work. he seems a bit serious on his face but once you know him, he is a nice guy. Xiao Wan is a lovely young boy. We talked a lot, he made us yummy milk tea, bought for us ice crea, fruit tea....and gave us some sourvenir. They are the ones made my stay here. Thank you guys! Moreover the hotel staffs also helped to received a package for me before my check in. 2. Location: it locates on the 4th floor of a building. It has a good location, where we can access easily to the shopping mall, the food stores. There is a small food court on the ground floor of the same building. The 1st store after the stair case once you enter the building sells pretty good noodles. 3. The balcony: my room is 201, with a balcony overlooking the garden on the ground and an open space to the big building in front, which gave us a peaceful corner to sit and talk and enjoy the nice spring weather. 4. The costume: the hotel offers free Miao costume to wear and take photo inside the hotel. Xiao Wan, the receptionist also help to take soem nice photos for us. What should be improved: 1. The cleanliness: the room facilities were a bit old but the cleanliness is definitely something can be changed and improved: like the table in the balcony, which should have been clean the surface. 2. The amenities: the big bath towels are torn out at the 2 edges. They can be reused as footmat or rag to recycle. New bath towel should be seriously considered. 3. The TV: A slow internet connection is causing the TV to stutter and lag, making it impossible to watch.making it not enjoyable to watch.

We had a wonderful stay at the RAW Hotel in Kunming. The first thing that impressed us was the hotel’s unique and beautifully designed interior. Every detail felt modern, stylish, and thoughtfully planned, while still being highly functional and comfortable. Our room was beautifully designed and featured a private cinema setup that our son absolutely loved. It made our evenings together extra special and added a memorable touch to our stay. The location is another major highlight. The famous Green Lake (Cuihu) Park is within easy walking distance, and even Kunming’s Old Town can be reached on foot if you enjoy exploring the city. The neighborhood itself offers several creative restaurants and cafés, making it a fun area to discover. At the same time, it is very easy to get a taxi to the railway station or any of the city’s main attractions, making it an ideal base for sightseeing. Overall, the RAW Hotel offers an excellent combination of outstanding design, comfort, functionality, and a fantastic location. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and stylish place to stay in Kunming.

South Asia Feature No. 1 City Kunming|2.4km from city centre
I first booked this hotel in Kunming when I went to Dali, and I chose it again when I returned from Dali. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the price is reasonable. It's a 20-minute walk to Wanda Plaza, or you can take an e-bike. I really liked their breakfast and the laundry room; it was clearly maintained by a dedicated person, very clean and tidy. I'm planning to book this hotel again next time I visit Kunming specifically for a trip. Plus, there's a great restaurant downstairs – a stir-fry place that's quite authentic, but I forgot its name.

The location of the hotel can also be near Vientiane City. The hotel is on the side of the road and is easier to find. The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is large. This hotel has several floors and dozens of rooms. The sound insulation is too poor. There is also a wooden board and mirror of a cabinet in the next room. The sound of boiling water in the next room was very clear, the sound of opening the cabinet door in the next room was also very clear, and the sound of talking in the next room was also very clear. The sound of bathing upstairs and next door was also very clear, the sound of rushing water. The voice in the corridor was also heard very clearly, the sound of walking in the corridor, the sound of pulling the suitcase, and it was also heard very clearly. On the evening of the New Year's Eve, I called the front desk several times and no one answered. On the second day, I asked the front desk person, and the front desk person said that it was a holiday. No one cleaned on the first day of the New Year, the front desk had to change my room, and I didn't change it. I have stayed in so many hotels. The first time I encountered such a situation, there was no one at the front desk on the 30th night of the New Year. There was no staff in the hotel and no security. There was no cleaning staff on the first day of the New Year. This is not a small hotel, it is also a relatively large hotel, how can this situation occur? I stayed at this hotel for more than ten days and didn't see who the manager of the hotel was from the beginning to the end. In addition to a staff member at the front desk, it was the cleaning person.
