Fantastic hotel! The room (Deluxe Side View) was spacious with all the amenities you could need. The bed was really comfortable and the water was hot. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, from reception to restaurant staff to bar staff. The beach area was gorgeous, white sands. We hotel arranged a night trip to swim in bioluminescent plankton. Highly recommended, like swimming with fairies in the ocean! The food and cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced.

This hotel is an absolute paradise, where you can forget all your worries! We were met at the pier and helped with our luggage (even though the hotel is a 3-minute walk from the pier and there's a paved road). Our family room for four was a two-room suite with two double beds. The only downside is that the white, ornate furniture, upon closer inspection, is quite scuffed. Also, the shower is only separated by a partition on one side, so water splashes onto the floor from the other. Otherwise, everything in the room is great. The bedding and towels are clean, there's bottled drinking water, and you can get additional water from the fridge at reception anytime. Each room, as well as the restaurant, has foot showers. The included breakfasts are delicious, offering fried eggs, pancakes or waffles, pastries, ham, cheese, sausages, rice or noodles with vegetables, and a large selection of fruits (mango, pineapple, orange, passion fruit, papaya, dragon fruit, watermelon). Lunches and dinners from the à la carte menu at the restaurant are also very good. The restaurant always has a pleasant atmosphere, sea views, and tables right by the beach. On some evenings, there's live music and a BBQ on the beach. Nearby in the village, there are other cafes of varying standards; the local ones are cheaper and tasty too, but the decor and service suffer. In the second half of our stay, we stopped looking for variety and only ate at the hotel restaurant. The hotel beach is simply magical! Super white sand, turquoise clear water! There were always enough sun loungers. There are free paddleboards and kayaks, table tennis, and giant chess. The pool has plenty of inflatable rings, toys, and armbands for small children, which I saw people also take to the sea. There's also a cool surf club with an artificial wave. It's paid (I think $25 per hour), but we each received a card for a free hour of lessons during specific times. Our teenage son was thrilled. The restaurant has board games. The hotel also offers boat and tuk-tuk excursions. We took a private boat trip with snorkeling, fishing, BBQ, sunset viewing at sea, and glowing plankton. We didn't take the tuk-tuk as we decided there was no better beach than ours here. There's a massage parlor on the beach, with massages starting from $20 per hour, bookings at reception. We really enjoyed the massage. I heard doubts from others about this hotel due to a road running between the hotel and the beach, but it's not at all bothersome, as traffic on this road is minimal. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful with any requests. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel; it's worth the money and has everything for a wonderful and comfortable holiday.

Sokha Beach Resort

The Sokha Beach Resort is an old fashioned 5-star resort hotel in colonial style, situated at the beachfront in Sihanoukville. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are well maintained and are spacious with a balcony . There is a nice nice swimming pool with sufficient sun beds. A good continental breakfast is served. WiFi was working flawless, even at the pool area. However, there are points that made us shorten our stay. The private beach of the hotel is clean daily. Unfortunately; this is not the fault of the hotel, waste water of the city is discharged untreated into the bay so that the water is yellowish, probably contaminated with human waste. There is an unpleasant foul smell everywhere. During day time, permanent noise from a big construction site right next to the hotel is incommoding . In spite of the pleasant big park that belongs to the hotel, the surrounding next to the resort is spoilt by high rise buildings of which some are still under construction or are half-finished. They intend to be mostly casinos. We found this environment unpleasant. No good, typical restaurants could be found in walking distance. Altogether Sihanoukville is a dire place for vacation, unless the visitor is in gambling and casinos.

Bit of a mixed bag at this place but with some easy tweaks it could be perfection. Good : Location, beach is clean, food is tasty, bar prices are good and Nas the bar manager makes a great cocktail, breakfast is plentiful and varied, pool is clean, sun beds, towels and paddleboards are available. Bioluminescence plankton is visible but you have to swim out away from the bright resort lights. Bad : Room type Beach View Villa - Lots of mosquitos in the room as the bathroom is not sealed, would be good if they gave you a net for the bed and room spray as I got badly bitten overnight. Wifi is really bad, you only have 1 plug socket for the entire room which isn't next to the bed, the lights are either all on or all off (the wall lights are decoration apparently so aren't wired up) and again the switch isn't near the bed, and you have nowhere to hang clothes or swim wear to dry, a line or rack would be really useful. Basically without tweaks the beachfront villa are overpriced. The staff were incredibly helpful when trying to resolve issues. I would return but would book a Sea View Room which are slightly cheaper, sealed and had great WiFi.

White Sand Ark Resort – A Peaceful Escape with Exceptional Service I recently stayed at White Sand Ark Resort, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. 🌊 Location: The resort is perfectly located right by the beach, offering stunning ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s ideal if you’re looking to relax away from crowded areas while still enjoying easy access to the sea. The natural surroundings make it feel like a private escape—especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset. 🤝 Service & Staff: What stood out the most was the warm and attentive service. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and well-organized. They made us feel welcomed and cared for, which really elevated the entire stay. 🏡 Overall Experience: The resort offers a calm, comfortable environment—perfect for families, couples, or anyone needing a break from busy daily life. The combination of a great location and dedicated staff makes it a place worth returning to. ⭐ Final Thought: If you’re looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway with excellent service and kind, professional staff, White Sand Ark Resort is definitely a great choice.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel! On the one hand, there are definite 'pros': 1. **Location**: Absolutely stunning bay with white sand, turquoise water, and breathtaking views. 2. **Hotel Grounds**: Well-maintained. The cleaning staff works hard, and even though it's clear there's a shortage of personnel, the grounds are still well-cared for. 3. **Room Assignment**: They listened to our request and gave us a room just a 3-minute walk from the pool and beach. 4. **Food**: Good, but only when ordered from the à la carte menu. 5. **Transportation**: We were met at the pier upon arrival and driven back to the pier on our departure day. However, that's where the positives end. Be prepared to see the other side of the coin – the 'cons' of this hotel: 1. **Bungalow Condition**: The bungalows are a complete disaster. Walls are dirty, duvet covers are torn, the bathroom is damp and moldy, and there are mysterious stains and splashes everywhere. Windows haven't been cleaned, and towels and toiletries are not replaced. No slippers, no safe. 2. **Pool Area**: Mattresses are dirty, towels are ripped and covered in horrible stains. All the furniture – umbrellas, sun loungers, towel bins – is rusty, battered, and worn out. It should have been replaced five years ago! 3. **Reception**: You can barely call it a reception. The fans are rusty, the sofas are sticky, and it's an unpleasant place to be. 4. **Breakfast**: Simply awful. To say there's nothing to eat is an understatement; it's extremely meager. The only decent food is from the à la carte menu. 5. **Excursions**: We asked about an island tour for snorkeling, fishing, and a trip to M'Pai Bay. We were told it would be $48 per person for a group of 8+, but 'the boat wouldn't go due to bad weather.' If it was just for two people, it would be $85 per person, but 'there was no boat.' In the end, we walked 200m to the left and bought the exact same tour from 'Mr. Nice' for $18 per person! We had an amazing time – a full day with a great group, and we saw everything we wanted! We paid 37,000₽ for 3 nights, which I consider a significant amount of money to end up with torn linen and dirt! You know, my issues aren't even with the staff, but with the hotel owners – the management is non-existent, and that reflects in both the service and the hotel's condition! It's long overdue for a renovation!!! I've attached photos; judge for yourselves! As for us, we left the hotel every day of our three-day stay because it was unbearable to look at. By the way, we walked through the jungle to Lazy Beach and were absolutely thrilled! It's a 25-minute walk from the hotel – a magnificent beach with a truly authentic atmosphere ❤️ I highly recommend taking that stroll!

What I liked: The excellent, comfortable bed and pillows, pristine white linens and towels. The hotel staff contacted me in advance and helped me book ferry tickets and a car from the pier to the hotel. The hotel restaurant served quite delicious dishes. Breakfast was also very good, despite the limited selection. You can use paddleboards for free at the beach. Snorkeling from the shore was also decent; we saw two cuttlefish. The beach is a dream, with one small caveat. There were always enough sun loungers. What I disliked: The beach was littered with plastic remnants from the sandbags used to reinforce the shoreline. One evening, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco at sunset. The waiter opened it and threw the foil directly onto the sand, shocking us with such disregard for this beautiful place. Another morning, guests at the neighboring table on the beach had Coke brought to them. By lunchtime, no one had come to clear the glasses and cans. By sunset, the same cans were still lying on the sand; the glass cups, however, seemed to have been collected. There were also many disappointments with the room: everything was shoddily done, built in a hurry, the furniture was stained with paint, the rug and hat in the room were torn, and in the huge shower, there wasn't a single hook or towel holder. There's also no shower curtain, so the toilet was always wet. Half of the light switches didn't work, and the switches by the bed were swapped. When you leave the room and take the key card, the light above the entrance also turns off, making it quite an adventure to return in the dark and climb the stairs. There's a refrigerator, but it didn't work, and this was the case in two different rooms. At the entrance to the bungalow and the restaurant, there are hoses to wash sand off your feet, but none of them worked. My husband took one apart and cleaned it, and then it worked. Conclusion: With proper management and care, this place could turn into paradise. Things to be prepared for: In the evenings, there are many mosquitoes or gnats on the beach; they bite hard and itch for a long time. Repellents are essential. Within walking distance, there's only the neighboring cafe and nothing else. This could be both an advantage and a disadvantage for some.

Hotel as such looks good on the pictures and the rooms are well designed and functional. The view from our room over the harbor nice. But besides the receptionist, no one speaks English, which is not bad as such but the staff, young people, friendly could not communicate and not even ask someone to assist. That's the management issue here. We had a coffee besides the pool- for 30 minutes no staff to be seen - no house phone to call anyone... When the staff came, friendly again but it took another 25 minutes for two cappuccini. For breakfast you can have American one with tasteless omelette, you can toast your own bread if the toaster is clean. We tried to order coffee, two cold Americano arrived after 25 minutes and several attempts.. Small bread and condiments buffet never got refilled, only some bread after I showed them what was missing.. Male staff has longer fingernails than my last female English teacher... The bed sheets were very spotty. Of course we found out only at 11pm when we went to bed. Too tired and too late to ask someone for assistance - or better to say, to explain that with our poor Khmer knowledge.... Anyways, they were washed but spotty and we slept well, the mattress was comfortable. All in all not to be recommended, and no reason to return!

This is a wonderful hotel with its own pier on one of the island's popular beaches, Long Set Beach. For me personally, the highlight of this hotel is its location – it feels like you're in the jungle, with so much greenery. Rare birds visit, monkeys drop by, and of course, there's a beautiful, clean beach with azure water. Despite its secluded feel, it's easy to get to various establishments on the beach (cafes, bars, shops) thanks to a path running along the beach. You can watch the sunsets from the pool. The breakfast is varied, with something for everyone. Overall, the hotel's cuisine is good, and the chefs cook very well. The only downside is that the prices for dishes are a bit higher than in the cafes/restaurants on the beach. The rooms are quite large and clean, with housekeeping available upon request. The hotel staff are very friendly and ready to help with any issues. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, and best wishes for your prosperity 🙏🏼

The proximity to the stunning beach is the thing of this hotel. Orher then that, it is basic and worn. Dont expect luxury service, varied breakfasts, new furniture, not stained or not torn sheets , super clean beach. Enjoy the beach, relax, dont push or demand something, take it as it is, and you will be cool :)
