I like the welcome note mentioning my name in my room.  I like tastefully decorated room although its small. It was far better than my expectations as it is rated as a 2 star hotel. Another hotel I booked via trip.com (Lisbon city hollywood hotel) is rated 4 star but I would rate it 2 star, its over rated. Also Room mate mario Madrid is in excellent location just 2 minutes walk to metro  (Opera) and Opera. Few minutes walk to Royal palace, plaza Mayor and few more landmarks and attractions. Room mate mario room and bathroom was nice and clean. Bed, Bed sheets, pillows and hand wash, face milk were good quality like 4 star hotel. Negative facts are, very old buildings, lift is narrow made for 1 person, difficult to locate your room. Also staffs can be better, kitchen staff do not understand English. I really appreciate tasteful room deco and hotel’s ethical and honest approaches. Thank you.

Definitely recommend! The hotel's front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even upgraded our room to one with a small balcony, and it came with a Dyson hairdryer! The location is perfect, right in the city center. Photos 2 and 3 highlight the delicious yogurt ice cream and a Michelin restaurant just next door!

Very convenient location with modern and new interior. Bed is super comfortable with no lack of cushions and pillows. Security is always present and requires key card to reach the room levels and reception on the 9th floor.

Great location, very nice breakfast, there is also a Starbucks right outside the enterance which is nice. Literally a two minute walk to Gran Via street where you can find anything you could possibly need. The staff was polite, the rooms were clean and very quiet at least on the 5th floor :) Overall would recommend and come back again. Gracias Madrid!

Ideal location. Near the metro and bus stops. To most sights walked. Very tasty and diverse breakfast. In the room perfect cleanliness. Comfortable beds and pillows. The room had a small water problem, we were very quick to help and solve the problem. Thank you to the hotel and all the staff who provide the comfort of the guests.

Room Mate Carla was a wonderful base for our stay in Barcelona. The hotel strikes a lovely balance between contemporary design and relaxed comfort. Our room was bright, stylish, and thoughtfully laid out, with a very comfortable bed and great natural light. The location is ideal — tucked just off Passeig de Gràcia, within easy walking distance of Gaudí landmarks, boutiques, and countless cafés, yet on a quieter street that feels calm at night. Breakfast was generous and well presented, and the team were consistently friendly and helpful. A chic, well-located boutique hotel that makes exploring Barcelona both easy and enjoyable.

The location is super convenient, close to the metro station, tourist attractions, bus stops, and shopping streets. There's a Starbucks right next to the hotel. The room was beautiful and clean, and the breakfast was quite good. Plus, there's a rooftop bar upstairs!

I had a truly delightful stay. Good location. The staff were unfailingly friendly, attentive, and eager to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Barcelona: everything is within walking distance, and the location is truly exceptional.

The design is elegant and very pleasant, and the staff speaks several languages, making for a smooth and welcoming stay. The hotel occupies a historic building, which adds real charm and the feeling of sleeping in a place steeped in history.

The rooms are surprisingly spacious, comfortable, and bright—a real plus for Barcelona.

The hotel itself was very nice, and while the location was acceptable, it was at the very end of the street, which made it feel slightly less convenient. That said, the property was truly beautiful.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by an older gentleman named Massimo, who unfortunately came across as rather grumpy and not as welcoming as I would have expected for a hotel of this caliber. He coughed while speaking to me without covering his mouth or turning away, which was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I also checked out with him and would have preferred a more pleasant interaction.

The hotel is in a great location, quiet in a busy area, 10 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps and 15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. It is convenient to travel and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel design is very beautiful, and there is a terrace for viewing. The breakfast is rich in variety and there are slight changes every day. Mauro at the front desk is really warm and polite, making people feel warm. He also recommended many delicious restaurants and authentic food, which made us spend a wonderful holiday in Rome.

Wow, this is an amazing hotel. The location and amenities are perfect and the staff are cheerful and kind. We highly recommend the GRAN Filippo - you can access the lobby and common space of the regular Filippo but also get your own balcony. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful stay. When in Rome, we will never stay anywhere else again.
