Nantou Hotels with Breakfast

As with the other reviews, the service here is amazing. You have the option to have your breakfast delivered to your room. During check-in, the staff will personally bring you to your room. If you arrived early or plan to leave sun moon lake much later after check out, you can leave your bags or luggage to the staff to keep. Staff here also offers tickets to the ferry, bicycle rental, cable car and other services available. The only con is that there is no lakeview, but everything else is very accessible. Bus station, Ferry station, 7-11 and restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. As for the room itself, the toilet is equipped with bidet. There's also some snacks and teabags for you. Electric mosquito repellent is also available if there's a need to, but I did not encounter any bugs in the room. Room is also modernly designed and most importantly, clean and bugs-free! Bed is of soft and comfortable type. I nearly dozed off while lying on bed. Wifi's strong as well. Would highly recommend to others who plans to visit sun moon lake. This hotel has almost everything you need, convenience, amazing service, and good food.

The room has both hot and cold water dispensers, allowing you to adjust the temperature yourself. Snacks were provided on the table, and the pictures featured Sun Moon Lake's iconic attractions like the cable car, Nine Frogs sculpture, and local black tea. The hotel is conveniently located right behind Sun Moon Lake Old Street, close to the Sun Moon Lake cruise terminal and cable car. You can also take the cable car to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.

This is our first time staying in a high class hotel. It certainly felt luxurious, wonderful rooms and excellent service. The attentivness of the staff was fantastic and the buffet in the Crimson Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was fantastic many many options all of which were high quality, fresh and tasty! The gym for a luxurious hotel was a let down, incredibly basic, but that is my only complaint. The onson baths were magnificent, the naked hot spring onson on site was nice, The views from every room as far as I cab tell are amazing the lake is and landscape is breathtaking and the hotel is cleverly designed to maximise this and the viewing of the landscapes. We stayed in a japanese based room with tatami floors and futon beds. The lake view rooms are significantly nicer and upon reflection I wish I had booked that one, but the japanese rooms was still a great experience and very comfortable. If we were to return to sunmoon we would gladly stay here again. The real highlights are the staff, the landscape/views and the buffet. All make for an unforgettable stay.

This is the best hotel during my trip. The receptionist staff was very friendly and helpful! We even get an early check in. The room was clean and has amazing view. It is right infront of the street food market and the ship dock. The breakfast buffet was okay!

Forest Courtyard Deluxe Quadruple Room (Completed 2026) Section E (E01) Check-in Date: 2026.05.30 (Sat) Cost: TWD 2880 (Originally 3247 - TripCoin 367) The building uses H-steel construction, though the exterior decoration doesn't give that away. The building materials are quite good. The interior decoration is definitely 5-star quality. Most of the main equipment is made in China, and the quality is very high standard. The bidet toilet (JOMOW), shower facilities, audio system (Edifier M230), and room power control device, though made in China, are all of impeccable quality. Overall, about 80-90% of the room's building materials are from China, which shows that Chinese building materials still have a certain level of competitiveness. The stay offered a comfort level of 9.9/10! Occasionally, there are sheep grazing on the hillside below. Hotpot is available for dinner, and there are live singers on weekends, which creates a great atmosphere. Breakfast is Chinese style, with congee served with various Chinese breakfast items, toast, fruit, eggs, and high-mountain cabbage. Beverages include coffee, soy milk, and red bean milk, among others (no Western breakfast options). It's understandable that there might be some common insects and flies in the dining area.

The hotel is ok but the room is big. The restaurant in the hotel is a must try. My daughter LOVEs every dishes she ordered. She said, this is the best food she had in Taiwan, so we had two dinners at the hotel. The location of the hotel is not great! We couldn’t get into the local buses to go to Xitou nor to Taichung because the buses were full from the original starting point. However, the hotel offers fare shuttle service to and from Xitou but not Shanlinxi. The front desk lady drove us to Xitou, she was GREAT and very accommodating, she took us to Xitou bus station outside of the normal schedule hours so we can catch the bus back to Taichung. We would come back again with our car to get to different areas in Xitou again.

The highlight for this hotel is the location near the Ita Thao pier especially if you are coming in from Shuishe by boat. The room is spacious and renovated not long ago. Breakfast was substantial, typical local ********* breakfast. I had a room with partial view if the sun moon lake. But convinient to walk down for a morning or evening stroll. Many small eateries aroubd even at night with family mart and 7-11 just round the corner

Highly recommended if you are looking for a stay near Sun Moon Lake Port. The location was very convenient, and the breakfast was good as well. However, we were not very comfortable with the bathroom design, as the bathroom window facing the living room was transparent even though curtains were provided. The bathtub also felt unnecessary and inconvenient, especially since I had to carry my child into the bathtub for bathing. Other than that, the stay was pleasant overall.

Having a hot tub right in the room for a private onsen experience was absolutely wonderful! It saved us the trouble of going to an outdoor bathhouse, offering both convenience and privacy – I loved it! A big thank you to the hotel's front desk staff too; they clearly explained the check-in process, and everyone was so friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance. Superb! 👍👍

The hotel is considerably cheaper than others in the area with similar-looking rooms and it is brilliantly-located right at the lakefront and only 2 minutes away from the bus terminal. The staff is very friendly and you even get a discount voucher for the nearby bike rental. I booked a room without a window and got one with two windows which is absolutely appreciated. I even had a very large bathroom with a gorgeous and huge bathtub which was an unexpected luxury. Overall the room is clean and comfortable. The AC works perfectly, the bed is comfortable enough for a few days, and the the linen and towels were fresh. The interior is dated which didn't bother me me much because it was still as clean as dated interior can get and therefore definitely clean enough for me and for most travellers. I actually kinda liked the old charme. The walls are thin, though it doesn't matter so much because there aren't many rooms per floor. The breakfast was surprisingly nice and located in another hotel right at the lakefront so that you have stunning views!
