Mountain View Hotels in Nantou

As with the other reviews, the service here is amazing. You have the option to have your breakfast delivered to your room. During check-in, the staff will personally bring you to your room. If you arrived early or plan to leave sun moon lake much later after check out, you can leave your bags or luggage to the staff to keep. Staff here also offers tickets to the ferry, bicycle rental, cable car and other services available. The only con is that there is no lakeview, but everything else is very accessible. Bus station, Ferry station, 7-11 and restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. As for the room itself, the toilet is equipped with bidet. There's also some snacks and teabags for you. Electric mosquito repellent is also available if there's a need to, but I did not encounter any bugs in the room. Room is also modernly designed and most importantly, clean and bugs-free! Bed is of soft and comfortable type. I nearly dozed off while lying on bed. Wifi's strong as well. Would highly recommend to others who plans to visit sun moon lake. This hotel has almost everything you need, convenience, amazing service, and good food.

This is our first time staying in a high class hotel. It certainly felt luxurious, wonderful rooms and excellent service. The attentivness of the staff was fantastic and the buffet in the Crimson Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was fantastic many many options all of which were high quality, fresh and tasty! The gym for a luxurious hotel was a let down, incredibly basic, but that is my only complaint. The onson baths were magnificent, the naked hot spring onson on site was nice, The views from every room as far as I cab tell are amazing the lake is and landscape is breathtaking and the hotel is cleverly designed to maximise this and the viewing of the landscapes. We stayed in a japanese based room with tatami floors and futon beds. The lake view rooms are significantly nicer and upon reflection I wish I had booked that one, but the japanese rooms was still a great experience and very comfortable. If we were to return to sunmoon we would gladly stay here again. The real highlights are the staff, the landscape/views and the buffet. All make for an unforgettable stay.

The room is a small wooden cabin with a subtle woody scent, and it's generally clean. The bathroom has a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a tiring hike up Hehuan Mountain. The B&B owner also provides earplugs, which are handy if you're sensitive to noise. However, I didn't need them during my stay as it was quiet and I didn't encounter any noise issues. The TV is large, but unfortunately, there's a slight buzzing sound when it's on. The pillows are quite flat. I ended up propping mine up with clothes and a jacket to sleep comfortably. If you prefer a fluffier pillow, you might find it uncomfortable. On a side note, there are so many adorable kittens in the B&B – it's a cat lover's paradise! They also offer a complimentary late-night snack, which was incredibly filling. The owner kept worrying that we wouldn't have enough to eat! 😂 Everyone at the B&B was very friendly and enthusiastic about chatting. I also got to try the seasonal passion fruit, which was delicious and highly recommended!

The service was excellent. Renting bicycles was very convenient (right downstairs), and the accommodation included a bicycle voucher (electric bikes cost extra, but it's worth it). The cycling route was suitable for families with children (they won't ride onto main roads). Different breakfasts were provided for two-night stays (only available from 8:30 AM; a special breakfast could be had at 7:30 or 8:00 AM, allowing for an earlier start to the day's itinerary 😊). The bathroom was spacious, making it easy for adults to bathe children. The designated parking lot (Zhongxing Parking Lot) was large and located in front of the guesthouse (parking on holidays costs NT$250 per day, during which time vehicles can freely enter and exit). The pillows were on the softer side, the mattress was comfortable, and the room had heating. There was enough desk in the room. The elevator was very convenient!

This smart B&B is quite advanced. When dropping off luggage, you need to bravely trust Taiwan's public safety; there's only a small luggage storage area with CCTV watching over your bags. The room's air conditioning also has a heating function, which is great!

The views from the window overlooking Puli town and the mountains are incredibly open and expansive. Getting around is easy as there's a bus station right downstairs with routes to Taichung and Sun Moon Lake. Buses from Taichung to Sun Moon Lake are always packed, but if you go from Taichung to Puli first, and then from Puli to Sun Moon Lake, you'll always get a seat. That's why I chose to stay in Puli for my trip to Sun Moon Lake this time, plus it's cheaper than staying right next to Sun Moon Lake. It's also not far to walk to Puli Night Market or other eateries in town. The room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall environment was excellent. The soundproofing was great too, I had a really good night's sleep.

We had a great stay! The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions and even helping us secure discounted tickets. The room was clean and offered a beautiful view. A highlight was the breakfast—simple yet delicious. To top it off, the host kindly arranged for staff to drop us off at the Shuishe main bus station. Truly thoughtful service! 老板非常热情友好，不仅细心为我们介绍当地景点，还帮我们代订了优惠门票，非常方便。房间整洁干净，窗外的景观也很棒。最赞的是这里的早餐，简单却非常美味。离开时，老板还贴心地安排员工开车送我们到水社码头客运站，真的非常感谢

The hotel is super close to 7-Eleven and also very near Cingjing Farm. The balcony is amazing, with a rocking chair and lots of cats! They are super cute! Breakfast was delicious, and the room was incredibly warm – not cold at all, even during a cold snap. Overall, it's very clean, except for a slight leak in the bathroom faucet. Highly recommend it! I'd love to stay here again next time.

I stayed at this hotel one night. The hotel provides free bikes. When I tried to check out a bike, two staff members talked to me. When I asked which bike I could ride faster, they did not answer my question. Some bikes are just very slow no matter what we do, so I don't want to get one like that. When I asked how long it would take if I wanted to ride in each direction from the hotel without a stop, the male staff member answered my question, but the female staff member kept on talking ”Don't ride fast. You are going to get into accidents.” Whenever I talked about ”fast” like ”how fast”, ”how long it takes”, she just kept on talking ”Fast is not good.” I am a mature individual and I will not go fast if I could not. She just refused to provide information that I was looking for. As long as I return the bike intact, the rest is my own responsibility.

A well equipped hotel in a quiet spot in town. Conveniently located off the main road with a great buffet breakfast and dinner. Service was great. The upkeep of rooms could have been a little better as some amenities were a little worn, such as the carpet and console. Loved the onsen water in the bathtub. The children appreciated the complementary jelly cups and cookies left for us each day.
