Traveling by car, the front desk staff helped me park it for free. I didn't even have to touch my luggage; the front desk brought it all to my room. The room was super clean, with all smart facilities, and a really comfortable balcony overlooking the river. In the evening, I enjoyed the river breeze, had a cigarette, and savored the unique charm of the ancient town. The room also had a hot spring bath, so I bought a bath bomb and had a really relaxing soak. The bed was incredibly comfortable, especially the pillows! It's clear the owner is very thoughtful and genuinely cares about their guests. In the morning, the owner invited us to tea and explained the history and attractions of the ancient town. The owner is clearly very passionate about their hometown and a perfectionist. It felt like I was treated like an old friend here. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem of a guesthouse. Entering from Chongzikou Alley, stepping onto the stone steps feels like stepping back in time; it's just a three-minute walk. The guesthouse is located in the former century-old He Family Courtyard. While meticulously renovating and preserving the original architecture, it incorporates modern amenities, showing thoughtful attention to detail. The rooms and bathrooms are filled with naturally evaporating aromatherapy oils, creating a subtle and pleasant fragrance. The rooms and balconies exude a classic charm, and the comfortable bedding and pillows, along with the tranquil environment, all contribute to a peaceful and restful night's sleep. I stayed here for three nights. One day I happened to catch a cold, and the staff thoughtfully prepared cola ginger tea for me, provided foot bath medicine, and cooked delicious white porridge, making me feel right at home. Furthermore, one day I returned early to the He Family Courtyard in Qixipu, and the staff invited me to join them for a hearty tea gathering. Chatting and drinking tea in the quiet courtyard, we spent a delightful evening – a truly unforgettable experience. In addition, to cater to my preference for lighter flavors, the chef specially prepared a less sour fish soup and a cabbage and tofu fish soup for me. The recommended fish was boneless, with fresh, smooth, and sweet flesh—absolutely delicious. During my four days and three nights, I deeply felt the warm hospitality of every staff member at Qixipu Hejia Courtyard, who treated guests like family, making my trip to Zhenyuan Ancient Town a perfect ending. I highly recommend this place to travelers visiting Zhenyuan Ancient Town for a unique accommodation experience. P.S. The hotel was newly renovated in July this year, and the rooms didn't have any renovation smell. The room is on the first floor, and the staff helped with my luggage upon check-in and check-out. Complimentary bottled water is provided. The room's air conditioning can both cool and heat. The actual room is as beautiful as the website.

The views are fantastic, and the environment is lovely. They even have a service chat group that provides travel tips. The young woman at the front desk was very helpful, always assisting with check-ins and outs, and even carrying my luggage. The only minor downside is that the toilet faces directly towards the building opposite. Other than that, everything else was great.

The room is quite large, right by the Wuyang River. It's very pleasant to watch the night view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town from the balcony. I saw the unique ”evil ways” of Zhenyuan. The proprietress is very kind and recommended restaurants for locals at affordable prices. She also gave us some fruit when we checked in and was able to help us with any needs. The proprietress also paid for parking after we checked in. Although the fee was not much, it was very heartwarming. I recommend staying here.

Our entire stay was a five-star experience! The guesthouse's decor created a wonderful atmosphere, exuding elegance and charm at every turn. The rooms were spacious, and the hot water supply in the bathroom was consistent, making daily routines very convenient. Having an elevator meant no effort was needed to get around, and the free parking was a huge relief. You can go fishing for fun or relax and catch up on shows in the audio-visual room. The staff were friendly and even patiently shared local travel tips. The value for money far exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely choose this place again next time.

I rarely book B&Bs, but this one was surprisingly great! It has an elevator, which made it easy to manage luggage. The location is absolutely fantastic, with stunning views of Wuyang River, Zhusheng Bridge, and Shiping Mountain right from the window. The river view is incredibly beautiful; sitting by the window with a cup of tea, admiring the scenery, was truly delightful and left me wanting more.

The owner was incredibly warm and insisted on treating us to dinner and drinks on New Year's Eve! The room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly! The cats and dogs downstairs were super friendly and clingy; as soon as we sat down, we were surrounded by them! Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back next summer!

First of all, the location of this guesthouse is superb, right next to a bridge in the middle of the main attractions. The owner was incredibly welcoming at first. Since the parking lot was about 400 meters from the guesthouse, we parked our car in front of the entrance, and the owner had someone help us carry our luggage up to the third floor. Then, he rode his bike to take me to park my car and back to the guesthouse, explaining how to make the sightseeing more enjoyable. The night view could be taken from the balcony. Secondly, they even provided breakfast, which should have been a heartwarming gesture. However, I ended up getting a scolding from the breakfast shop owner. The breakfast shop was another place, and we went there with our meal tickets. It was just a bowl of beef noodles. The shop was small, and there wasn't enough room when it got crowded. I only asked if we had to carry it ourselves, because there were six or seven elderly people eating at the same time. My point was that if we carried it ourselves, we could wait at the window, otherwise there wouldn't be enough room. The owner's response was: ”Can't you see I'm the only one here? How can I carry it?” After a while, when the noodles were ready, he said he was out of beef and would add some minced meat instead. I didn't say anything. As long as it wasn't poisoned, I didn't care what he put in it; I didn't care if I didn't eat the noodles. Finally, when it was time to leave, I couldn't find the owner. He wouldn't answer my calls, and it started raining this morning. We'd forgotten our umbrellas when we got out of the car yesterday, and the owner didn't come back even after we waited for a while. He still wouldn't answer the phone. I had to find a parking lot in the rain. When I drove out, I encountered a policeman who said I couldn't drive the wrong way because that street becomes a one-way street after 8:30 am. I had to go around in circles. The owner hadn't mentioned this yesterday, and being unfamiliar with the area, I got lost. I had to use navigation and ask the police for directions to finally get back to the hotel. I left my room key on the front desk; I wonder if the owner can see it on the security cameras? What was supposed to be a perfect experience ended up being a disappointment. The accommodation was top-notch, and it was convenient for those driving. It would be perfect if the service awareness were improved.
