Great
TTotal travellerBeautifully design hotel, but our room was facing a busy street when we asked for a water view and the noise still came through time to time. The location is helpful and walkable distance to the metro but it’s confusing to find without directions. The spa pool was closed during our stay unfortunately bringing the amenities down since that was a main attraction. Appreciate the helpful staff.
GGuest UserNo issues, except the bathroom was a bit small. The Deluxe King Room didn't have a bathtub either, just a higher floor; everything else was pretty much the same.
GGuest UserGreat location if you need to be near the University Campus , 5km away from downtown . Extremely welcoming and helpful staff . Large, quiet rooms with large interactive TV and modern bathrooms with walk in showers. Large comfortable beds to help a great nights sleep . Good quality buffet breakfast and affordable dinner menu. Small self service retail area a great bonus selling drinks and snacks etc. Small gym with limited exercise equipement but all in working order . Enjoyable stay
DDee SparksConveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service.
The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression.
One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience.
Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.
GGuest UserTell front desk to fix the security lock door on check in, until check out still dont fix it
The cleaning room service did not do the trash garbage and change the towel & bath math
And the floor still dirty
GGuest UserWe stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning.
However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient.
Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected.
NNrncylglThe hotel was very clean and perfectly located in the city centre, making it easy to get around. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Everything was well organised and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again
GGuest UserI rented an apartment nearby but it wasn't ready yet, so I stayed at this hotel for two days after landing. It's very close to the Central Station; just head right from the north exit, walk straight until you hit the main road, then turn left and you're there. It's about a 15-30 minute walk, depending on your pace. The room facilities are simple and clean. I needed to print a couple of pages temporarily, and the front desk staff kindly printed them for free. The pictures show the surrounding street and neighborhood. Right across from the hotel, you can catch various buses that take you downtown, and you can get off right at the hotel entrance on your way back. Tapping your credit card for boarding and alighting is very convenient. Within about a 15-minute walk, there's a Turkish supermarket, an Aldi, and an AH supermarket, so finding food isn't an issue, but I didn't see any bakeries or coffee shops.
GGuest UserThe room was decent but unfortunately the window was right above the entrance as everyone is smoking right under it, so don't think about opening the window.
We arrived and there was a sock on the smoke alarm, went downstairs to notify reception and another customer told us it had been there when he stayed days back. Clearly people smoking in rooms, but we couldn't smell it much so that's a plus. The reception staff came to take it down swiftly but it should have been caught way earlier by the cleaning staff!
The bathroom was nice. WiFi worked great in rooms as well.
GGuest UserLocation is exceptional - just outside Markthal and a 5 min walk from the harbours. 20 second walk from Rotterdam Blaak Train and Metro Station. You do get what you pay for however - rooms are VERY small (as depicted). There is a Shared “kitchen” area with tea / coffee also there.
Our shower didnt drain properly and so anything longer than 5 mins flooded the hotel room lol. Also no privacy in the bathroom - no lock and its frosted glass so be wise who you share it with! Only had 2 flat pillows for a double bed so that was a bit meh. Also a draft in the window so being December it was quite cold. AC / heating didn’t work either. TV worked with Netflix and Youtube, and you could stream from your phone but this was a bit temperamental.
Reception were kind but seemed a little unorganised / unsure about things. Would defo come here again however for a budget stay in the city, the location is absolutely unbeatable :
