BBee_❤️Getting there was incredibly easy — it’s only about an eight-minute metro ride from Rotterdam Central, and the hotel is literally just outside the Leuvehaven metro station, which makes arrival and getting around very convenient.
The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. We had a canal-facing room, which was beautiful, especially in the evening when the lights reflected on the water — definitely a lovely touch to the stay.
It’s also about an eight-minute walk to Beurs, so you’re well placed for shops, restaurants, and the city centre without being right in the busiest area. I’d happily recommend this hotel for both comfort and location.
OOslynnnI recently stayed at a 4-star hotel in Rotterdam and overall had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away, making it very convenient whether you're looking to dine out or do a bit of shopping.
From the moment I arrived, the staff stood out—they were professional, approachable, and always greeted guests with a genuine smile. Their helpful attitude really added to the overall comfort of the stay.
The hotel itself is well-maintained. The hallways are clean and even have a subtle, pleasant scent that creates a welcoming atmosphere. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch in the lobby, where free hot and cold drinking water is available for guests.
The room was spacious and spotless, offering plenty of comfort to relax after a long day. Housekeeping clearly does a great job maintaining cleanliness and order.
That said, there was one downside: my room faced the main road. While this might not bother everyone, I did notice that noise from passing vehicles—especially honking late at night—was quite audible and occasionally disrupted sleep.
Overall, it’s a great hotel with strong service, cleanliness, and location. If you’re a light sleeper, it may be worth requesting a room that doesn’t face the road.
GGuest Userthe staff was very friendly and very helpful. I called the hotel contact number for help after realizing I lost my small handbag somewhere. They collected my contact details right away and promised to look for me and contact me as early as possible. They called as promised even though my handbag wasn't there. Their dedication and kindness and professional service are so much appreciated!
GGuest UserGreat location if you need to be near the University Campus , 5km away from downtown . Extremely welcoming and helpful staff . Large, quiet rooms with large interactive TV and modern bathrooms with walk in showers. Large comfortable beds to help a great nights sleep . Good quality buffet breakfast and affordable dinner menu. Small self service retail area a great bonus selling drinks and snacks etc. Small gym with limited exercise equipement but all in working order . Enjoyable stay
DDee SparksConveniently located just 15 minutes from both the train station and the main shopping district, this hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. It stands out as one of the better options in its category, offering comfort and excellent service.
The staff are a true highlight – friendly, attentive, and responsive to all enquiries. A special mention goes to Merle, who went above and beyond to assist us with travel arrangements. Her warm and professional manner made a lasting impression.
One area for improvement is the breakfast offering. Guests with dietary restrictions or those who avoid meat and eggs may find the options somewhat limited. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of dietary needs would enhance the overall experience.
Overall, a highly recommended stay with thoughtful service and a prime location.
GGuest UserThe accessible lift was out of order, which meant I had to use the service elevator to get in and out for a few days. While the wheelchair lift was eventually repaired, it wasn't suitable for a large electric wheelchair. The accessible room itself was great! It was a pity that breakfast was only available on weekends. However, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
GGuest UserNice hotel, good location. We rented a suite for a combined business and pleasure trip. Hotel is rights above a supermarket. Be careful!! Supermarket delivery trucks keep you from sleeping at night. Also Internet connection not working. Strongly recommend to not stay here. At least not when you are expecting a good night sleep.....Only poor excuse was offered. Friendly staff, just noisy rooms. Stay away!
GGuest UserWe stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning.
However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient.
Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected.
GGuest UserQuite an old building- both the exterior and common area. But a big surprise when entering the room - spacious, high ceilings, huge windows with views, sparkling clean. Very convenient location, 10 min walk to Market Hall. All other major attractions are within also within walking distance. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.
