AAnonymous UserThe hotel is incredibly close to the Santa Maria Novella train station, which is very convenient. It's also within walking distance of the city center and other attractions. The hotel's decor is elegant and charming, with a classic, antique feel. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were all warm and friendly. There's an elevator, but each one is quite small, only fitting two people at a time. However, the stairs are easily accessible too. The carpeted floors mean that footsteps don't disturb others. Upon check-in during Christmas, we received local specialty Christmas cookies (Prato almond biscuits) and a greeting card, which was a lovely touch. On New Year's Eve, there was a harp performance in the lobby, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel breakfast was abundant and delicious! The room was very spacious; there was plenty of room even after placing our luggage. The hotel mentioned it had been renovated in 2025, and I really liked the floral wallpaper and bedspread. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, providing a 2-in-1 shower gel/shampoo and conditioner. The staff noticed we were two women and thoughtfully replaced our towels with two pink ones the next day – very attentive service. The air conditioning worked excellently, keeping the room very warm. The window overlooked a small inner courtyard, not the street, so it was quite quiet. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

IiagiagThis hotel is a renovated old building, and the ceilings must be at least four meters high, giving it a 'new wine in an old bottle' kind of feel, which is absolutely fantastic. The location is also great; you can walk to the Duomo, and it's less than a kilometer from the train station. The rooftop bar has reasonable prices, and on the day I arrived, I actually won a free drink – what a lucky draw! The hotel also offers free laundry, which is a huge plus. Just a few hundred meters from the hotel is Piazza della Libertà, which isn't crowded with tourists and is definitely worth a visit. If I come back to Florence, I'll definitely stay here again.

汉堡啊啊啊啊I'd definitely book this hostel again! The rooms and facilities are fantastic, and the front desk service was excellent. I met some great international friends here. The only minor drawback is that the window soundproofing isn't great, so you can hear outside noises clearly. But hey, we chatted late into the night anyway, haha! And by 9 AM, you'll start hearing traffic. If you bring earplugs, it's a perfect 10! Also, it seems like this place hosts student groups; I saw a large group checking in as I was leaving. If you can avoid those times, it's a great spot! Location-wise, no worries – it's only a 10-minute walk, and for young people, Florence is a small city, so it's not an issue at all!!!

DDatouaixiaojiaoThe location is fantastic, right by the train station. Just be aware it's tucked away in a courtyard, so keep an eye out for the entrance. Service was excellent; they were incredibly helpful with our luggage, even bringing it directly to our room. Our suite was wonderful. Despite its historical character, it was exceptionally well-maintained, offering a genuine feel of a grand European family home. A good selection of snacks and drinks were provided. The bathtub was a welcome amenity, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Big plus! Our room was named 'Mona Lisa'.

GGuest UserFacilities: Standard business setup, has everything you need, including disposable slippers. Cleanliness: The bedding was clean and tidy. Environment: Very close to the train station and the city center, both within walking distance. If you're coming from the airport by tram, you can get off at the ROSSELLI stop, which is directly behind the hotel. You don't even need to cross any traffic lights; just follow the map to the hotel. If you get off at the train station, you'll have to drag your luggage over cobblestones, which is quite a workout for your arms. Service: The staff were all very friendly, and attractive too!

MM9906****I arrived early on the day of check-in, and even though it was before the official check-in time, the front desk staff proactively helped me get into my room early, which I really appreciated. However, the room I was assigned had a noticeable issue: not only was it right next to a storage room (for some reason, I always get these kinds of rooms in Italy), but there was also a strong sewer smell inside. I initially thought that since they had already accommodated my early check-in, I should just put up with it. But after I showered, the odor got even worse, making it impossible to endure for three consecutive nights. Upon returning later, I went to the front desk to request a room change. This time, a different female staff member was on duty. She seemed very reluctant, her expression showing annoyance and a lack of professionalism. Although she eventually did change my room, the bathroom in the new room was almost half the size of the previous one, and I'm not sure if it was even the same room category. It wasn't until the next day that another front desk attendant proactively apologized for the previous room issues and acknowledged the bad smell. Overall, this stay was a mixed bag, with inconsistent service quality.

GGuest UserThe apartment is clean and equipped with everything you need. The bed is comfortable, the room is spacious. The check-in instructions were clear. The noise from the street was disturbing. Even with the window closed, you can hear the sound of every passing tram. It is no coincidence that earplugs were prepared, although they cannot improve the vibration caused by the passing tram much. And a personal note. In my previous booking, at other accommodations, the host's communication - despite the fact that there is no personal meeting - usually includes some kindness and personal attention. This was not the case here, although it would have been nice.

RRangkuailesuixingbaifenbaiI was extremely satisfied with this booking. A well-stocked supermarket is conveniently located just 300 meters away, so we were able to buy steak and fish and cook them ourselves in the apartment. The apartment also features a small garden, perfect for unwinding with an evening drink – it was incredibly relaxing! The embassy is also very close by, which is worth a quick visit. Along the way, there's a charming small park where you can sit and feed the pigeons, which was truly delightful!

Ttung tung shamDuring my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Anglo American Hotel. Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful, and I would gladly recommend it to fellow travelers. First and foremost, the location of the Anglo American Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Florence, it offers easy access to the city's major attractions, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel's central location made it convenient for me to explore the city on foot and truly immerse myself in its rich history and culture. The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems. My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff. While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of local cheeses and cured meats. One minor drawback was the absence of a fitness center or spa facilities within the hotel. However, the staff was helpful in providing information about nearby fitness centers and wellness options, ensuring that guests have access to these amenities if desired. In summary, my stay at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was a delightful experience. The prime location, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations contributed to a memorable visit to this beautiful city. While the absence of certain amenities was a minor drawback, it did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the hotel. I would recommend the Anglo American Hotel to travelers seeking a centrally located, well-appointed hotel with a charming ambiance in Florence.
