"This property is really close to the train station and that is really helpful. It has an empty feel as the reception is in another building down the street and so you enter the room via code on the doors. Overall the room was adequate with a working television (most of the rooms I have had do not have tvs that work). Overall it was a good stay but amenities are sp****."

Amazing
GGuest UserA Tuscan escape, private villa style experience, great service, very attentive and extremely pleasant staff, great breakfast, lunch and dinner, beautiful pool, landscape, views of hills and city of Florence. Need a car to be able to go anywhere, or be willing to be a bit adventurous and take a public bus that stops nearby on the highway and requires a bus change to go to Florence, but on the way back goes directly to the resort from Florence (you need to learn the name of your stop and tell the bus driver to stop there, as busses only stop if they see people waiting at the stop or if a ypassenger requires it). The busses run every 20-30 min according to the time schedule (you will be given it) and take about 10-15 min to get to and from Piazza dela Liberta in Florence (look it up on Google map). Taxis are always available, will cost about €30 per trip (10-15 min ride). Remember, this is a villa style resort outside of Florence. It was beautiful, we loved it.
XXDLiuFacilities: The room is not big, but very comfortable. The hotel building has nothing to do with Brooks. The interior design is very comfortable. The hotel has two restaurants, Michelin 2 stars! I ordered a dish that was really good.
Hygiene: clean
Environment: convenient. In the old center of Florence, 5 minutes between the Dome and the Town Hall. 15 minutes walk to the train station. Also relatively quiet.

MmumuziThis stay really surprised me. I was concerned about the facilities would be outdated or the noisy from the rooftop. Turned out none of them were a problem. It's got an vintage looking but the room is clean and the amenities worked fine.
The staffs were super nice and friendly to us and made this trip much easier for me. I would definitely book it again if there's a second time

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located, just a five-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station and a five-minute walk from the Duomo. There's a supermarket in front of the station, a 1.19 euro shop two doors down from the hotel, and a cafeteria (trattoria?) directly across from the hotel that's open from 6am until late at night. Their focaccia is about 2 euros cheaper than other places. Overall, it was incredibly convenient.
The hotel staff were also incredibly helpful. During my stay, I locked my room key in after a staff member had gone home and was locked out. Another guest had to call the owner to explain the situation, causing a huge commotion. They even came over on their motorbike late at night just to unlock the room for me. I regret not being able to express my thanks and apologies in person when a different staff member checked out the next day.
The room was very clean, the shower water pressure and temperature were perfect, and the heating worked well, keeping me warm and free of any issues.
I will definitely stay here again when I visit Florence.

GGuest UserThe hostel itself was clean and well located, no complaints about that. But the girl at the reception was extremely rude. On the day of check-in, she was standing with another girl at the counter — when I asked if I could check in, she just said “no,” and they both laughed. When I asked what was wrong, they rolled their eyes and said it was “just a joke.”
On the day of check-out, I wanted to leave my luggage until the evening to explore the city. For the first time in 15 years of traveling, I’ve encountered a place where you can’t store your bags for free — you have to book paid luggage storage online. My card was declined by their website, so I politely asked if I could pay in cash or what I should do instead. She simply said “no,” turned away, and started helping other guests.
Usually, hotel staff try to assist travelers and offer some kind of solution, but this kind of attitude was truly disappointing.

GGuest UserPros: great location, just a few steps from a few must see of the city. Cons:the noise of morning workers cleaning or making deliveries in the morning (7-8am) and tourist making their way through the alleys and streets to or from hotels, bar, etc. will carry to tour room... maybe disrupting your sleep. Also, if you're going to arrive after the reception closes it can get tricky or stressful as you have to reach out an on-call reception person (in my case it took 3 dials in to hear from them, I got delayed 20min. on the road and the person left and have to call again). The lock of my room and for the constant slamming of doors rooms seem to be a bit tricky to operate. Finally, the safe in my room was looked at my arrival, so I couldn't use it. Not the best value and wouldn't recommend it.

GGuest UserThe hotel is close to the city center, which is very convenient for walks. The staff is polite and very friendly. Upon learning it was my first time in Florence, they gave me a tourist map and informed me about the sights, even drawing a convenient route for me. At my request, they printed out a concert ticket. The room was warm. I made tea using my own water heater, so the absence of a kettle wasn't an issue. Breakfast was perfectly fine, just like at most hotels. The hotel definitely undersells itself with its star rating; it could easily be a 3-star.

GGuest UserTHe hotel is dated - it would be nice to look old on the outside and up to date on the inside. It was hard to figure out how to turn on the AC - glad it worked though. Location is good, but the problem is parking - you cannot park on the street - had to park about 10-12 minute away, in a public parking. Breakfast is surprisingly good, with several options to choose from. The extra bed was flimsy, with the wood springs falling twice. Not a lot of space in the room - but, in a way, expected in Europe (especially coming from US). It would be good for the people upfront to share all the options and restrictions when it comes to parking. The lady in the morning included my car in the system, because you can get a ticket even by entering the restricted area.

GGuest UserGreat location, especially good for intercity travel through SMN station. Room size is not big but good enough for us to mange luggages, and to take rest. We love their breakfast, good taste and mix of croissants, coffee, fruit, cereal, cheese,.. etc, charged only at Euro 15 per head. If I have to pick something better for improvement, I would say that the hotel rate per day at off season could be 20% or 30% discount.

FFionFionIt was a very pleasant stay, although I didn't get to spend much time in the hotel as I was just in Florence for one night, breakfast was nice with variety of choices, staff were friendly and can speak English, room was clean, AC was working perfectly, everything including the duomo was in walkable distance (only like 10 mins walk to the duomo).
I had to leave the room key to the reception everytime
I leave the hotel which felt a bit strange at first, however apparently this is a norm there as my brothers who were staying at another hotel at the time had to do the same as well.
Last but not least, you can have a fantastic view of the city at rooftop of hotel, especially nice to see the sunrise!
Will definitely stay here again, highly recommended!
