"This location was nicely nestled in Pine Mountain with a cute lakeside view. Very easy to find and close to FDR State Park. This was a very peaceful and gated community. Here is where the poor rating comes from. We arrived around 1640. The office is open until 1700 on Saturday, but the staff was already gone. Rude. The cabin itself was a disappointment. The cabin did not appear to be prepped for our arrival. Although clean, it smelled like old furniture or an old canvas tent. Not appealing at all. There were cobwebs and bugs all over the entry. I understand a certain amount but this was more than a seasons worth. This isn’t my first cabin and I’ve lived in Harris County Georgia. The final straw was the missing coffee filters for the drip coffee maker and nothing is close or opened yet for my morning coffee. Luckily, the provided paper towels worked. Or maybe that was intended? It didn’t feel welcoming. I don’t feel this was priced appropriately given the lack of love and care I would hope to see."
