What a great decision . Sonia’s welcome was amazing- it is hard to find such enthusiasm these days. She loves the hotel and the city and it showed ! The room was meticulously decorated and our only wish was for a firmer mattress. I loved the white company toiletries. I felt at home! Breakfast was filled with well presented fruit , breads and pastries and more. Top quality but not over the top. And the staff were do friendly and warm . The hotel is situated across from the river. Perfect for going to the Old Town . A great spot for your Heidelberg stay."

"If you like to party until 5 a.m., this is the place for you. However, if you want to sleep, you should definitely avoid booking a room facing the street or a side street. Our group of 10 colleagues knew we were in the city center, in a pedestrian zone, but not for this chaos. Every 10 seconds there was shouting, banging, constant insults, people urinating against the building... I didn't get a single second of peace (with the windows closed, of course). We found a good, amicable solution the next day. Thanks to the hotel management for that. Some of my colleagues weren't so lucky... I even had to listen to a staff member say, "Everyone knows it's noisy here." The night porter, however, was the most aggressive after I asked for a different room (facing the courtyard) at 3 a.m. "What do you think you're doing? You're in the city center of Heidelberg, a city with 45,000 students!" He was about to give me the finger… To be clear: Yes, we knew we were in the city center, and also that it might be noisy. But windows that didn't block out the noise in the slightest and the aforementioned disaster until 5 a.m., followed by street cleaning (smashed beer bottles, vomit…) – we weren't THAT aware of that. So: Anyone wanting to stay at this hotel will find nice rooms and a good breakfast. However, for sleeping, you have to choose a room facing the courtyard."

"The room isn't huge but it's well-equipped, featuring a kitchen with provided utensils. There's also a kettle and a coffee machine. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and you can even make your own fresh vegetable juice. For stays of three nights, housekeeping isn't provided, but you can request fresh towels. The hotel has a car park, and at 15 Euros per day, the parking fee is quite reasonable. The hotel isn't very close to the old town, about a 30-minute walk. You can take a bus to the castle, and there's a bus stop conveniently located near the hotel."

"We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean, with a great view overlooking the Philosopher’s Walk. We also received welcome Lotus cookies, which was a nice touch. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, fast Wi-Fi, shampoo/body wash, and both facial and shower towels. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were offered an iced lemon tea when we checked in, which was a lovely gesture. The 24-hour front desk was very convenient, especially for late check-ins. The hotel also provides luggage storage, which was helpful as we could leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out. A few things to note: the room does not have air conditioning, a kettle or a coffee machine. Breakfast is available for €19.80 for the buffet or €9.80 for a breakfast set. The soundproofing could also be improved, as we could hear people walking around. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel, particularly for its great location, beautiful view and friendly service."
