Taitung Hostels

I was already deeply attracted by the unique and tranquil environment of the hotel, but I was even more surprised to find a 'traveler's storybook' in the room! Reading the various sad, happy, or bewildered stories left by past guests who stayed in the same room deeply moved me to tears. I gained immense energy from your stories. Thank you, hotel, for this warm and thoughtful gesture. If I ever have the chance to travel solo to Taitung again, I will definitely stay here once more!! 🥹

It’s very close to Taitung Bus Station. Coming from Taitung Train Station, you'll need to take a bus or grab a cab—the bus can be a bit of a hassle to catch. The Central Market is nearby. Norden Ruder has a huge kitchen in the basement with high-end decor, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. Yeshi Sashimi nearby is delicious, and there’s a night market around, but be sure to check their opening days/hours! The stir-fry place across the street is great and they have two cute little dogs. There are also plenty of convenient shops nearby like PX Mart, MUJI, UNIQLO, FamilyMart, and Carrefour. The café on the ground floor wasn’t open, but you can relax and eat in the lounge area—it has a great vibe and the cozy wooden decor feels very comfortable. Ah-Xian Tofu Pudding was just so-so. I really liked the bathroom layout: the shower curtain has magnetic weights, so it keeps your clothes from getting splashed, and there's a little stool inside. Having two trash cans (one inside, one outside) was super convenient. However, the toilet paper rubs against the wall, which feels a bit unhygienic, and there weren't quite enough shelves/storage racks. The hallways are a bit narrow. There's a shelf with travel journals and stationery/creative goods that are free to use during your stay. The tatami-style interior is lovely, with built-in wall cabinets to store your stuff. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

Holiday trip booked 1200 for two people. On the same day, only we and another group of guests can almost be considered a private building. The room is quiet, comfortable and clean. There is a washing machine to wash clothes and dry clothes for free. There is also an observation deck on the top floor to see the scenery. I really think this price is very top.

I had a wonderful stay: perfect location in the city center, very nice and comfortable room, kind staff. They provided a voucher to have breakfast at the coffeeshop in front, or even bought breakfast for us. Would definitely stay here again!

I highly recommend this hotel for all travellers, especially foreigners - note I was a self-drive so the location wasn't an issue. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by a lovely young lady who came outside to show me my car space. Her equally-lovely colleague then assisted in checking me in and making me feel very welcome. I was given a map of the local area and some suggested eating spots. They also helped in charging my phone. The girls' spoke enough English to help me, and the breakfast at a nearby cafe was great. The room was exactly what I needed - a very clean room, comfortable bed, and nice warm shower. I am going to stay again next time I visit beautiful Taiwan.

The location is right next to the transit station, offering many route options whether you're coming from the train station or heading to the suburbs, though bus frequencies are low. There's also a paid parking lot across the street, which is convenient if you're driving. Nearby, you'll find department stores, a cinema, a night market, and a regular market, making it very lively with excellent amenities. The hotel uses a fully self-check-in system with no staff visible on site. There's only one check-in machine, placed a bit out of the way, which I didn't notice immediately upon arrival. After completing the process, you receive a password to open the main door. There's no elevator, and the male dorm room is on the 4th floor. The only common facility is a water dispenser. The toilet is located inside the room and combined with the shower. If all beds are occupied, you might have to wait to use the bathroom. The room size is decent, and the bed is quite comfortable. Overall, it's a reasonably comfortable stay, especially for a solo traveler for one or two nights, and the price is affordable. However, if you have concerns about shared bathroom facilities, I'd advise against visiting during peak season!

Pros: well established Naruwan Group. Fantastic shower water pressure after a tiring day. Cons: the original booked hotel was closed for upgrading and i was not informed. The whole building was closed when i arrived. I immediately call the hotel through trip.com and the receptionist informed that they has arranged for a room at the hotel next door (also Naruwan Group’s hotel). I was expecting a paddy field view room but i was assigned to the room facing heavy industrial lots. Other than that, it was a good stat at Naruwan Hotel and value for money.

My family and I recently stayed at Traveler Inn Tiehua Cultural & Creative Hotel II, and our overall experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly friendly. The check-in process was quick and clear, which made us feel instantly relaxed. The lobby was clean and bright, with a comfortable seating area, perfect for a brief stop upon arrival or before departure. Our room was an even bigger surprise. The space was well-designed, feeling open and not at all cramped. The bed was just the right firmness, allowing us to get a great night's sleep as soon as we lay down. The overall cleanliness was exceptional; both the bathroom and the room details were perfectly maintained, which gave us great peace of mind. The soundproofing was also excellent, making for a very quiet night without any external disturbances. The location is also very convenient, with great amenities nearby. It was easy to find food and do some simple shopping, which is a huge plus for travelers. Plus, the price was reasonable, offering excellent value for money. It's suitable for both short trips and business stays. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable. The service, environment, and comfort were all outstanding. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we have the chance and will recommend it to our friends.

The hotel's location is excellent. Plenty of shops are available right outside, and Ah Hong Fried Chicken is just next door. Both the train station and Zhengqi Road Night Market are within easy walking distance. The breakfast selection was quite good, and they offered flexible breakfast hours.

I had booked a room in the “hostel” section, but it’s actually more of a hotel pretending to also be a hostel. The cleanliness in the room left much to be desired (from what i could see the window sill is clearly never cleaned, hair on the clean sheets, etc.). On top of that, the lockers are fake in the sense that they don’t lock, so they’re basically just cupboards that anyone can open. As for the bathroom, some of the shower doors are broken and were literally left abandoned inside the shower. What was my surprise to see that there were cockroaches ?? The next day, I came back to the room to take a shower and there was no electricity in the bathroom anymore. I asked for compensation because the price I paid was completely disproportionate to the state of the facilities. The receptionist was friendly and offered to move me to a private room (in the hotel section), but the problems continued: when I opened the bathroom door, I once again found cockroaches. Moreover, the humidity doesn’t seem to evacuate properly, and there’s a nauseating smell inside. The lock on the door leading from the room to the hallway doesn’t work. The finishing of the construction work is terrible, nothing is right. In short, my advice is : do not come to this hotel.
