GGuest UserThe hotel provides clean rooms, but there’s some confusion regarding the term “double-bed room.” It’s unclear whether the hotel or Trip.com is responsible for using this term to describe a room with just one large bed, which can mislead visitors seeking two separate beds. The website should clarify this terminology to avoid inconvenience. Guests shouldn’t have to leave additional notes when booking, as the room choice should be clear from the options provided.

GGuest UserHad a fantastic stay! I've been to both the Taichung and Taitung branches of Luz Hostel, and they're both excellent. The Taitung branch was particularly amazing – a huge common area, super convenient location, and they even upgraded my room. The front desk staff were all incredibly nice too. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserI was already deeply attracted by the unique and tranquil environment of the hotel, but I was even more surprised to find a 'traveler's storybook' in the room! Reading the various sad, happy, or bewildered stories left by past guests who stayed in the same room deeply moved me to tears. I gained immense energy from your stories. Thank you, hotel, for this warm and thoughtful gesture. If I ever have the chance to travel solo to Taitung again, I will definitely stay here once more!! 🥹

EEliossI had a wonderful stay: perfect location in the city center, very nice and comfortable room, kind staff. They provided a voucher to have breakfast at the coffeeshop in front, or even bought breakfast for us.
Would definitely stay here again!

GGlenn ScarffeI highly recommend this hotel for all travellers, especially foreigners - note I was a self-drive so the location wasn't an issue. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by a lovely young lady who came outside to show me my car space. Her equally-lovely colleague then assisted in checking me in and making me feel very welcome. I was given a map of the local area and some suggested eating spots. They also helped in charging my phone. The girls' spoke enough English to help me, and the breakfast at a nearby cafe was great. The room was exactly what I needed - a very clean room, comfortable bed, and nice warm shower. I am going to stay again next time I visit beautiful Taiwan.

GGuest UserThe location is right next to the transit station, offering many route options whether you're coming from the train station or heading to the suburbs, though bus frequencies are low. There's also a paid parking lot across the street, which is convenient if you're driving. Nearby, you'll find department stores, a cinema, a night market, and a regular market, making it very lively with excellent amenities.
The hotel uses a fully self-check-in system with no staff visible on site. There's only one check-in machine, placed a bit out of the way, which I didn't notice immediately upon arrival. After completing the process, you receive a password to open the main door.
There's no elevator, and the male dorm room is on the 4th floor. The only common facility is a water dispenser. The toilet is located inside the room and combined with the shower. If all beds are occupied, you might have to wait to use the bathroom.
The room size is decent, and the bed is quite comfortable. Overall, it's a reasonably comfortable stay, especially for a solo traveler for one or two nights, and the price is affordable. However, if you have concerns about shared bathroom facilities, I'd advise against visiting during peak season!

PpengThere are a few parking spots in the basement, so you'll have to be lucky to find one. Otherwise, park along the white lines on the road. There are small cookies and popcorn near the lobby, but the popcorn is quite sparse. Aiyu and millet porridge are available at 8:00 PM.
The room on the third floor was nice, as the water dispenser and ice machine are located there. It was clean and spacious for four people. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, but the hot water took a long time to get hot. The sleep was comfortable, with a nice quilt and pillow. The water, cookies, and drinks in the room were complimentary, and the complimentary beer at check-out was a nice touch.
The hot spring on the first floor consists of two pools, but there's no shower area, which is a shame. I was so wet I just wanted to shower, so I had to wrap a towel and walk back to my room.
The breakfast was average, but the fly infestation was a concern. Many items were uncovered, and flies also flew onto the food on the table, which was a bit annoying.
TtwinkleracI had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel.
There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because ”the hotel is closed for the day”. When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered ”because you don't have a Taiwan mobile number”. This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant.
Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on.
Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another.
In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers a private parking lot, but with only 7 spots, it's strictly first-come, first-served. If it's full, guests can use a nearby partner paid parking facility; just present the receipt to the hotel upon departure to receive a NT$120 credit towards your parking fee. Alternatively, if you opt for street parking, simply give your parking ticket to the front desk at check-out, and they will handle the payment.
The location is excellent; a vibrant food district is right outside the hotel, so you'll never have to worry about finding a meal.
Rooms are spacious, boast great shower water pressure, and the air conditioning is refreshingly cold.
Breakfast is adequate and filling, featuring items like plain rice, braised minced pork, congee, stir-fried vegetables, tea eggs, steamed buns, grape juice, soy milk, coffee, toast with various spreads, and two types of fruit.
Overall, a hotel definitely worth a return visit.

Yyona vanI had booked a room in the “hostel” section, but it’s actually more of a hotel pretending to also be a hostel. The cleanliness in the room left much to be desired (from what i could see the window sill is clearly never cleaned, hair on the clean sheets, etc.). On top of that, the lockers are fake in the sense that they don’t lock, so they’re basically just cupboards that anyone can open.
As for the bathroom, some of the shower doors are broken and were literally left abandoned inside the shower. What was my surprise to see that there were cockroaches ?? The next day, I came back to the room to take a shower and there was no electricity in the bathroom anymore.
I asked for compensation because the price I paid was completely disproportionate to the state of the facilities. The receptionist was friendly and offered to move me to a private room (in the hotel section), but the problems continued: when I opened the bathroom door, I once again found cockroaches. Moreover, the humidity doesn’t seem to evacuate properly, and there’s a nauseating smell inside. The lock on the door leading from the room to the hallway doesn’t work. The finishing of the construction work is terrible, nothing is right.
In short, my advice is : do not come to this hotel.
