"This hotel is right by the entrance to the Colorful Danxia Scenic Area, which is incredibly convenient. It's clean and hygienic, and they offer both breakfast and dinner, so you don't have to worry about finding food. Three things really stood out to me:
First, when we arrived in the afternoon, we went straight for the in-depth tour. Since we weren't familiar with the area, we couldn't find our way back to the hotel after leaving the scenic area (it was actually just around the corner). While we were asking for directions, a man happened to walk by and said, ”I'm going that way too, just follow me.” He personally led us back to the hotel before turning back himself. It turns out he went out of his way just to guide us. Along the way, he told us about the scenic area and the hotel's development. From his demeanor, he seemed like a leader, and as an older person, I was deeply touched.
Second, the restaurant manager was constantly overseeing both dinner and breakfast service. He was hands-on with many tasks, very kind and approachable, and took the time to explain the dishes. It made us feel very comfortable dining there.
Third, as seniors, we're light sleepers and sensitive to noise. On the afternoon we arrived, there was construction happening nearby, and the noise was quite unsettling. The front desk attendant on duty (I've forgotten her name) quickly found a solution. When the first room change wasn't satisfactory, she then managed to get the construction crew to temporarily halt their work. We weren't bothered by any noise for the rest of our two-day stay.
The hotel's pricing is reasonable, and the service is excellent. It's definitely worth a stay."

"After half a month of traveling, this is by far the most comfortable place I've stayed. The decor has its own unique style, not like those generic hotels you see everywhere. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the lighting and little trinkets. Plus, all the amenities work perfectly and are super convenient – everything you need is there. The shower has great water pressure, the hairdryer is effective, and the Wi-Fi is incredibly fast. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and bright. It's perfect whether you're relaxing in or heading out to explore. For this price, getting all these perks is truly amazing value for money. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next summer."

Environment: Near the Big Buddha Temple, not far from Ming and Qing Street, the hotel decoration is OK, the opposite window view is a bit poor, the room layout is ok, the bathroom is slightly dark. Breakfast is eaten at the Qingguo Hotel behind, by the way, the lobby of Qingguo is well decorated. Breakfast is enough, not very rich, breakfast is starting at 7:30, not very friendly to people who have to catch the trip early in the morning.
Service: Generally, almost no, the package said that there was afternoon tea, I didn't eat it, and the front desk didn't say it."

"Zhangye isn't a large city, so staying near the West High-Speed Rail Station is convenient. It's mostly residential around here, so the environment is generally quiet. Taxis are easy to find, and it's only a couple of kilometers to the city center, costing a very cheap six or seven yuan.
The only minor drawback is that you have to walk a bit with your luggage after getting off the high-speed train. I'd recommend just taking a taxi directly.
After a terrible stay in Dunhuang for the first two nights, I really put my trust in an international brand, and the management level is completely different. Hampton Inn isn't luxurious, but it has everything you need. Plus, the hotel is new, the soundproofing is excellent, and you can choose a memory foam pillow, which is great for people with neck problems. Also, the laundry room is fantastic! It started snowing in the morning and my pants and clothes got wet, but I was able to wash and dry them immediately after going back at noon, which was incredibly practical!
Because I had a late flight, the front desk allowed me a late check-out, which was great.
There's bottled water available on every floor, and plenty of seating in the lobby on the first floor, so you don't have to worry about lingering, and charging is convenient. The breakfast is decent, and considering it's around 300 yuan a night, it's quite reasonable.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel and highly recommend it for anyone staying in Zhangye."

"This is by far the best value-for-money hotel I've ever stayed at, with the most exceptional service! When I arrived, the driver who picked me up was in a suit and very polite. The hotel rooms are huge and spacious. The restaurant's à la carte dishes were surprisingly delicious and reasonably priced, and the breakfast selection was also very rich, outperforming a good majority of other hotels. But the absolute best part was the hotel staff. In the morning, while I was having breakfast in the restaurant, another guest accidentally spilled chili oil all over my jacket. I was really upset and felt helpless. The restaurant staff immediately reacted, helping me send the jacket for cleaning and drying. It took less than 20 minutes from start to finish, and it didn't disrupt my plans at all. It's because of the professionalism, warmth, and thoughtfulness of the restaurant, laundry, and front desk staff that this little travel mishap was quickly resolved for me. I really love Zhangye as a city; from the hotel to the attractions, it's given me a fantastic travel experience!"

1. There were complimentary snacks in the room upon check-in.
2. The staff were very thoughtful and provided a guide to Zhangye, which gave us plenty of ideas for food, fun, and entertainment.
3. The hairdryer being a Laifen brand is a definite plus!
4. Breakfast was incredibly rich and plentiful. Everyone in my group raved about it and said it kept them full until lunch! Turns out the Lanzhou noodles at this hotel are made fresh on the spot."

"During our trip to Zhangye, we chose the Hanting Premium Hotel based on its reputation. However, my husband suddenly developed acute gastroenteritis while we were there. What I expected to be an anxious and helpless experience turned into an incredibly precious and heartwarming one.
Our attendant, Tian Li, immediately accompanied us to the clinic, meticulously took care of ordering our meals, and even personally prepared and delivered congee and fish soup, which deeply moved us. Tian Li and Zhu Jing then helped us cancel our train tickets and rebook our return flights, ensuring we had no further worries.
Meanwhile, the restaurant staff's warm concern made us feel truly cared for; every meal was filled with warmth. The cleaning lady was also incredibly thoughtful and thorough, tidying up our room multiple times a day, allowing us to rest peacefully even in this special situation.
Every small detail showed genuine care. The warmth of that bowl of hot congee and those comforting words made a foreign place feel less strange and our hearts feel secure and supported.
Some emotions are beyond words but will stay in our hearts forever. We are grateful for this encounter and for this kindness that goes above and beyond service. 🙏

"Traveling to Zhangye with two kids, I was impressed by the service from the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance. I completely forgot about our luggage in the taxi, but the security guard at the door kindly helped me carry it all the way to our room. The room itself was clean and tidy. Honestly, I couldn't find a single fault with the service here; everyone was so welcoming and enthusiastic. After all, isn't good service and a pleasant environment what you look for in a hotel? In the evening, they even brought us snacks and treats. Because I had children, they also gave us some small toys, which was incredibly thoughtful. They even prepared foot-soaking tubs and cucumber masks for us in the evening – my kids and I were practically fighting over who got to use them! Highly recommended!"

The front desk staff were very welcoming; they turned on the heating for us before we arrived because it was cold, and even gave us some local specialty snacks before we left. The room had smart home features, was very clean, and quite spacious. The hotel itself felt new, and its facilities were comprehensive.

GGuest UserI had an absolutely wonderful stay. This hotel is very accommodating to foreign travelers. They did their best to communicate with our family to make sure they were happy and comfortable. The rooms are amazing and full of amenities. They have a restaurant downstairs and serve a large delicious breakfast each morning. They also have a movie subscription service with a nice selection of English movies as well. Fully enjoyed my stay and will definitely be staying again in the future.

Nno name nnWe stayed at Home Inn Plus Zhangye West Railway Station and want to share an honest review. The hotel lists “non-smoking rooms,” but in reality this is not accurate. Guests smoke in all rooms, so even if you book a “smoke-free” room, it will still carry smoke odor. For anyone with serious health issues or strong sensitivity to smoke, this property will not be suitable.
That said, the staff were outstanding. From the moment we mentioned the issue, Ms. 豆梦姣 went above and beyond to support us. She offered alternative rooms, kept checking in, and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. The hotel cannot control the behavior of other guests, but they truly did everything within their power to help.
In short: the building and policies make it impossible to guarantee a smoke-free stay, but the kindness and professionalism of the staff — especially Ms. 豆梦姣 — left us with a very positive impression of their hospitality.

MM350182****Although the weather wasn't great, with mist and rain obscuring the view of the snow-capped Qilian Mountains, only a glimpse of the snow could be seen, disappointing the owner's good intentions. However, the owner, for the sake of the guests' interests and the scenic area's interests, insisted on taking the guests birdwatching early in the morning. Your dedication is evident even in the snow-capped mountains, and the hotel truly deserves the inscription by former Vice Premier Zou Jiahua. Linsong Xiegu, being a secluded and tranquil place, cannot compare to the facilities of a bustling city. The hot water tub only allows for half an hour of showering at a time, but the owner has done everything within their power to create a clean and comfortable resting environment for the guests. The female owner communicated smoothly with each guest, and the male owner's photographic works in the corridor were excellent. I particularly liked the motion-sensor light background wall in the stairwell—it was both beautiful and practical. The hotel restaurant, located in the town, offered delicious food at reasonable prices with appropriate portions. The restaurant also had a heater, so there was no fear of catching a cold in the mountains.

She even recommended some fantastic local dishes like 'Chao Bola' and 'Saozi Mian' in Zhangye. The nearby Ming and Qing Street was bustling, and we also visited attractions like Mati Temple and Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park. We had a great time and a very comfortable stay – highly satisfied!

FFoodadventureJust completed a wonderful three night stay at the Zhangye Holiday Inn. Perhaps most Silk Road tourists do not spend three nights in Zhangye but we wanted to visit both the popular and more “off the beaten path” historical sites nearby. This Holiday Inn is up to international standards - the staff was very professional, courteous and well trained, the rooms were modern and well-maintained, and even the buffet breakfast restaurant manager spoke English. This is probably one of the few (if not the only) more Westernized hotels in Zhangye) and we had a very good stay and experience in this hotel in Zhangye.

〔 Geographical location 〕 Liuba Town in Minle County (seems to be called this), there is a 20 or 30 kilometers away from the county seat, there are many small restaurants in the town, but the door is closed earlier, and most of them are closed before ten o'clock, so it is best to live here early. Go early.
To be improved: the TV will not be watched, I don't know how to adjust. The wifi in my room cannot be used (408), and it can be connected to other rooms.
