"The room was clean and spacious enough for the three of us, and the service was good value for the price. Access from the room to the pool was very convenient. The swimming pool is large and suitable for both kids and adults, with shallow areas on both sides for non-swimmers and deeper sections in the middle for more confident swimmers.
Breakfast was plated and reasonable for its price. The room tended to be a bit humid, and the pool had a strong chlorine level, so using swimming goggles may be helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay."

"The hotel is excellent. When we booked, we were skeptical about the ratings because there weren't many reviews on Trip, but everything turned out great. The hotel is new, everything is clean, and nothing is out of place. The location is also excellent – 5 minutes from Alona Beach and relatively far from all the entertainment, which provides at least some peace and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was also excellent – always clean. Airport transfers are available for 500 pesos if needed. I really liked the fact that you can take diving courses or try a dive with training in the pool.
There are a few minor drawbacks, however: there was no soap at the sink, no toothbrushes, no slippers, and no robes. This isn't a big deal and is possible if you ask, and the staff will at least provide hand soap. There's also an issue with the bathroom door – it doesn't close properly, and you have to force it shut.
Overall, the experience was excellent, and a big thank you to the diving instructor for the experience. If we ever come back again, we will definitely book here."

"We stayed for 10 nights in a Standard Double Room located in the West Wing. The room was very clean and well-kept, with daily housekeeping and a very comfortable bed. Air-conditioning and lighting were just right, making the room ideal for rest or work. Wi-Fi was 90% stable, with only occasional drops.
The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to Alona Beach and close to shops and dining options. The hotel has a pool and a “Chada” restaurant that serves some of the most delicious food we had in Bohol.
One thing to note is that the building has no elevator, which can be inconvenient if you’re traveling with large suitcases like we were. Fortunately, the staff were incredibly helpful and assisted us with our luggage during check-in and check-out. That level of service really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Everyone on staff was friendly, approachable, and attentive. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and overall, the property felt well-managed.
For the price we paid, this was excellent value for money. I’d happily recommend it to others—especially if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and great food without breaking the bank."

"Fun Hotel seemed very professional and well organized. It's well located and clean. Unfortunately our stay was problematic as the emergency lights turned out at 3:55AM and even I reported it, the problem continued (see photos 3 and 4). Only after insisntent complaints the hotel sent maintenance to solve it. Also, there is a large construction close to the hotel and it was difficult to sleep past 7AM or enjoy a conversation over breakfast, as it is right next to the breakfast area (see photos 1 and 2). Without these two problems, I would recommend this hotel."

"We had an amazing stay at this charming Southeast Asian–style hotel. The entire property is surrounded by beautiful greenery, giving it a peaceful and tropical vibe. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The scenery around the hotel was stunning, and our room was very clean and comfortable. "Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Begonia for 6 nights and 5 days. The room was simply elegant, comfortable and clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. "We had a really fun and enjoyable stay at Alona by JPark Resort! The location is great—close to Alona Beach but still peaceful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were warm and accommodating throughout our stay. We especially loved the pool area—it was clean, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding.
Food was good, and overall the experience was pleasant and memorable. Just a small suggestion: it would be better if the aircon filters were cleaned regularly, as we noticed it could be improved.
Still, we had a great time and would consider staying here again."

GGuest UserWe first stayed in junior room on the first floor. There was work going on. Moved to the villa which was a completely different experience.
The junior suite was large but unfortunately without a balcony. On arrival we had fruit and free non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge. In the evening we were provided with cookies. The room was on the 1st floor. They supplied shower gel and conditioner but no soap.
There was work going on next door to the room. We discussed our noise concerns Analou who arranged for us to move to a Villa. Analou also helped with the tour bookings. She was professional and friendly.
The villa was amazing with a plunge pool and all the extras in the bathroom.
The pool was kept clean and in the afternoon provided with a shot of juice and an ice lolly.
Service throughout the hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. Thanks to the housekeeping team- Jamie’s, Rommel and Claude.
In the restaurant and bar area I want to thank Vincent, Daniel and Girlie.
We ate at the Spanish restaurant which was good and by the pool.
The hotel arranged trips to see dolphins and turtles which we enjoyed. We also went on the country side tour. Although we did not go into the church as it closes on Tuesday’s.
The nice little extras were cookies in the toom. Cold towels, ice cream and fruit shots by pool.

DDans travelGreat hotel right on Alona beach, far enough away from the noise but close enough to walk to the restaurants and bars. Stayed in a beach view room, was large and clean with the best beach view of any hotel I’ve stayed in. The sky infinity pool felt like the pool joined to the ocean. Also one of the best rooftop pools of any hotel I’ve stayed in and with the attached pool bar a great place to enjoy a cocktail or beer in the pool while watching the sunset. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Only areas of note that could be improved, the bath towels were of lower quality than I would have expected in a hotel of this level and the coffee at breakfast was terrible, luckily the room had a Nespresso machine.

The highlight of our stay was definitely the food. Every meal was exceptional—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or room service, everything exceeded our expectations.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without ever feeling intrusive. The combination of great service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere made this stay unforgettable.

ООльга ГегияThe main advantage of this hotel is its location – close to the beach and the city center, yet set back from the main road. This means it's quiet and peaceful, but everything is still within walking distance.
The rooms are spacious, and the linens and towels are clean. Hot water, a fridge, air conditioning, and a hairdryer – all the modern conveniences are there.
Room cleaning is available upon request.
The pool is clean, and the grounds are constantly maintained.
Breakfast is à la carte and quite filling.
There's a slight sewage smell in the bathroom, but we somehow managed to get used to it.
Everything else is very good for the price.

CCha DelroI love how the location is near the main road. There are so many restaurants around the area. It's not too near the beach, not too far. Just the right distance. The place was clean! The Ac was working well. Just a bit of problem with the plumbing but it got fixed when I had to ask for help. The street had some houses under construction but it was pretty safe. Probably one inconvenience i had was when they locked out the main door because they don't give keys for that. Maybe they just accidentally locked the door. Somebody opened it for me but felt bad that somebody had to wake up to do that.

VVenus ❤️I went to Bohol on a Solo trip. I booked this hotel because it’s the only available beachfront hotel at the time i booked. I find the Facility good when checking photos. When i finally came to Bohol, everyone is friendly! The staffs from this Hotel’s restaurant which is located a few meters away from their hotel, approached me already. They have a bar and there’s a live band. They are just beside the public massage area so i took a massage while drinking while listening to the band. And the most special thing for me is the beach. It really surprised me that Bohol has really many good beaches. It was just sad that i wanted to extend my stay with them but it’s fully booked. Plan your trip ahead of time and book right away. Their food and drinks is not expensive. 😉

Cons:
-Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management
-tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY
-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white strip that were posted on the website
-corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside
**AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.
