Berlin Hotels with Kitchens

"Reception and check in was good. Location is in Mitte but still have to walk 9 min to Ubahn. Street is very quiet but the whole street was under construction. The premier apartment is spacious. Very clean and well equipped. Slippers would be great. Swimming Pool was in basement and small but it is an extra so it is fine. It would be great if there are seats for parents who don’t want to swim. My child of 12 was not allowed to go alone. Hotel policy."

"This is a very big hostel with hundreds of beds, though it did not feel cramped or loud. I had a quiet stay.   I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed dorm with three bunk beds and en-suite. The toilet and shower are separate which makes use easier. Hanson’s and shower gel is included, as is a hairdryer.   The room is spacious with tables and seating areas, this is also of use to those who on the top bunk who cannot sit on their bed as easily.  There is a mirror though a lack of hooks being only a hook and couple of hangers. The bed is of a metal frame and thus I was able to apply my travel straps and hooks to create places to hand my coat and bag. There is a locker big enough to take hand luggage sized bag (own lock needed).  The bed has a usb port for charging and a slot into which a phone will fit, though no individual light. The room has two lights and it is possible to turn on only one; the other people in my room came in and out at unsociable hours though we’re all respectful being quiet and also putting in the main light.   The mattress and pillow are comfy enough, you need to collect linen and make the bed yourself.  Everything was clean.  Reception is 24 hours though checking us via one of the 4 automated screens. It is through the machines that you do check in and pay tourist tax and the machine prints paper with your allocated room and bed number. You even activate the room card yourself. There is a sign in the desk with a map of blocks with room numbers in each one. That is all the welcome that you get; there is no explanation related to hostel layout or facilities. I had to ask in which direction to go to get to my block, the receptionist gave my directions and once I got to the room and found no bedding on the bed so went back to reception. The check in computer screen states that bed linen is provided free of charge and towels can be paid for at reception. The receptionist did not give me any bedding nor point to where to where to pick it up some thus I assumed the linen would be laid on the bed as in other hostels. The next day a person arriving in the room asked where he gets bed linen, he also did not get given any bedding even when talking with the receptionist. I do find it odd that you are expected to ask for the bedding: as this is the case I recommend updating the wording on the computer screen as it is ambiguous and gives the impression you only need to ask at reception if needing a towel.  There is a guest kitchen which has basic equipment: fridge, sink, microwave, 2 hot plates, 2 frying pans, 1 saucepan, some plates, bowls and some cutlery. There was one mug in which I made a cup of tea by heating water in the microwave. I recommend a kettle to boil water. The kitchen is sufficient for simple meals, making breakfast and sandwiches. I did not try the hostel breakfast.  There is one common area near reception with a bar and possibility to purchase food. Vending machines there. WiFi reliable. The common room can feel cramped when groups are there. There is good security as all entrance doors and lifts use card access. To access the guest kitchen ask at reception and they update your card.  The location is very good being 5 min walk from Ostkreuz train station. It is a direct line to Messe Nord where the bus station and FlixBus stop is. Easy to get public transportation into the cities. There are many shops, supermarkets and eating places nearby. Vegan kebab shop directly opposite.  Good value for money. I had a comfortable stay with no difficulties and I would stay again."

"The hotel service was satisfactory, and the front desk staff were very patient. However, they only provide one bottle of drinking water per stay. If you're used to hot water, be prepared for that; the hotel does sell water, but it's a bit pricier than outside supermarkets. Also, in Germany, you need to pay attention to whether the water is sparkling or not, as it's easy to grab the wrong one if you're not careful. The apple pie at breakfast was delicious."

"There was nothing to make. We had a very modern furnished double room for 2 nights of about 16 m2. Included was a microwave and a refrigerator with iced box. A small theche with hockers, made the room even more charming. The bathroom was also top. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Depending on your preferred place, you can use public transportation such as bus and tram or go a few steps to the S-Bahn stop. A shopping country is right next to and there were also various ways to saturate. There are fast food such as subway, doners or Chinese food, but also several restaurants nearby like Italians, Greeks, Thai etc. The hotel was the right choice for our stay."

"The hotel has a great location, with a large supermarket about 500-600 meters away. The prices there are reasonable, and the ingredients are very fresh. We often buy beer there; it's very convenient. The room was clean and hygienic, with all the necessary amenities. It's a kitchen with a full set of utensils: pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Dish soap was also provided. The attention to detail was excellent. There was a hairdryer, but no disposable slippers or toiletries, which is normal in Europe, as most hotels don't offer these. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet at night. The staff were friendly. Check-in is at 3 PM. Overall, it was a good experience, good value for money, and suitable for those who need to make a living. (Note: If the front desk is unavailable, you can check in at the 24-hour front desk of the adjacent hotel.) Hope this helps those who need it."

"This hotel is conveniently located near Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), just a few train stops away, right next to the subway station. It's great for morning runs: head out the hotel's right side, cross the railway bridge, and run 1.6km along the left to find a large park. The park loop is 1.5km, with natural trails, grazing cows and horses, and beautiful blooming flowers – highly recommended! After your run, return the same way for breakfast, which offers a wide selection and excellent value for money."

"The front desk staff were excellent and kindly upgraded me to a room with a kitchen. Since the hotel is newly opened, everything feels fresh and clean. The only downside is that the parking area is still an uneven dirt road, and the pillows were quite flat. Other than that, everything was great."

"First time solo travelling and staying at a hostel and im so happy I chose the Circus. Super convenient location (right across from trams and subway) so getting there from the airport was the easiest thing ever! Friendly staff and nice clean rooms, beds were so big and comfortable and the shared toilets/showers were always looking and smelling clean. Chilled atmosphere and they host daily nightly activities to help you mingle with our travellers. Overall I loved this place and would 100% stay again next time I visit 😊💕"

"The location is OK, next to a famous hospital, with more business and academic guests, and fewer tourists. There is almost no service. The room was not cleaned for three nights, and there was no replenishment of supplies, including bottled water and towels. I was particularly dissatisfied. The carpet in the living room was dirty. It is said that there is a kitchen, but the kitchen does not even have basic hand towels, it is just a decoration. The breakfast is on the first floor. It is the worst breakfast of my trip to Germany. The bread is not fresh, and there is no surprise in other aspects. In short, this price is too cost-effective, and this quality is really too expensive."

"Good service and smooth check-in and check out. Requires a deposit, which is returned in cash upon checkout. Good bathroom facilities, even with a bath available. The bedding was clean, but you have to make your own bed and bring the bedding to checkout to receive the deposit. Very good central location, but my 2 nights were quiet, so it was a lovely stay. The kitchen is quite well equipped with a microwave, hobs, pans, and fridges, but is open only 8:00-22:00. A great experience overall, felt safe."
