Amazing
NNorman StoneeeJust wanna share my experience of staying in this beautiful hotel.
1- The location and the views from the hotel are just amazing! Especially during sunsets!
2- The personal and stuff of the hotel are super super friendly, if I could I would give 10 stars for the hospitality.
3- Onsens and the view are something out from this world
4- What I was really amazed is the kitchen and the chef that is cooking. If you stay in this hotel I highly recommend take the breakfast and dinners. You will have a high class food with a presentation and explanation of each dish by the servant. Best experience
5- Last but not the least I forgot my speaker in the hotel. The stuff brought it back the same day to me to another hotel I moved after NISHIHOPPO.
So guys, less words more actions! 10 stars to this amazing hotel and it’s owner. My respect.
AAnonymous UserIt's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up.
The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range.
We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect.
We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night.
There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.
GGuest UserThe host was wonderful. He explained everything and provided free transfers to the monkeys and the train station. The room was also fine. The only thing was the figurines and other things on the shelves were very dusty. Everything else was very clean: the linens were clean, the futons were comfortable, and the blankets were warm. Overall, I recommend it.
旅旅神The price is super good, breakfast and dinner are included, the boss staff are very kind, will talk to the parents again, you can ski in out , The hotel will have an old driver's hand car to help you park. The hotel isolation is a cable car ticket shop. The scenery is very beautiful. You can soak in the hot springs when you return to the hotel. Dobby will have a drink. There are a few like Japanese club meds,
And the hotel decoration ring is made up of flowers on the top of the mountain, very thoughtful! And Shiga Yuxue is really thick and slippery!
EElinaNikIt was brilliant!
It is the same with pictures on this site.
They gave me yukata and towel and changed it every day. I had a tea and enjoyed it on my balcony. I tried a futon at first time in my life.
I had my own reserved table for breakfast.
❗❗❗The hotel has its own bus with driver, which took me to the Snow Monkey Park and to the station for free!
Actually staff was so polite! It is seems like you are someone important.
Actually the only one minus that you can't go to all 9 Shibu Onsen's baths, but just to 9th bath only. But the hotel has its own bath even open-air.
It was really nice and comfortable accommodation.
GGuest UserShiga Palace Hotel is a great choice for its location alone—set right in the mountains, it offers easy access to the surrounding area and beautiful scenery that really adds to the experience. One of the highlights was the buffet meals. The food was plentiful, varied, and satisfying, making it easy to refuel after a long day of exploring.
The rooms were very traditional Japanese style, which felt authentic and fitting for the setting. While simple, they gave a true sense of staying in a classic Japanese hotel. The communal onsen was also a memorable experience—relaxing, cultural, and something everyone should try at least once while visiting Japan.
Overall, the location and meals are major pluses, and the traditional rooms and onsen make this hotel a unique and enjoyable stay.
GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at Shiga Kogen Sunvalley hotel. It's only a 20 mins bus ride from the Snow Monkey Park. The bus stop (S15) is about 100m away but when it's heavily snowing, it could be a little difficult to pull your luggage across the road. During the winter season, there's a free shuttle bus that takes you around the different resorts. The hotel also has ski rentals and the pricing is very reasonable and convenient for hotel guests to pickup and drop-off. The onsite onsen and sauna is clean and well maintained. We had breakfast included - food selection is good with a mix of Western and Japanese cuisine. Dinner required reservation and you have a choice of Japanese set course, or a casual course. Usui and the team really know how to provide great hospitality and we really enjoyed our stay.
SShingen BusinessIt was cheap and very good!
What particularly impressed me was that the front desk staff greeted me with a smile until I left, and were polite and kind in explaining things to foreign guests. I felt very at ease ❤️
GGuest UserWonderful hotel and experience. We came in offseason (April) but still had a good dusting of snow. So conveniently located next to Ichinose Family Ski Area and have everything you need right on property (rentals, lockers, restaurant, store, onsen). Food in the restaurant was very tasty and high quality and you can eat as much as you want.
Room had a nice view of the slope and was comfortable once dialing in the heater settings.
Undoubtedly best part of the hotel was the staff though. So friendly and accommodating. I sustained an injury early in the trip and they could not be more helpful and accommodating.
Look forward to returning.
TTanin PhannithiEasy to go to Giant Ski Area because there is a slope to ski area directly. But I don't recommend for beginner to go ski area from this slope. And you can't go back to the hotel from this way, you have to go back by gondola to Yamanoeki and walk 300m. Too far if you walk with skies or snowboard.
Yukata is not free of charge, you have to pay 300 yens for rent. There is a shower room in your room but you can't use it because there is ONLY cold water(hot water doesn't work).
Some breakfast menu is not enough for customers. But dinner is ok.
