Amazing
LLostSoullTraveling solo with my four-year-old daughter, I booked the most basic room type, and they kindly accommodated my request for a high-floor room, as noted in my reservation. While the hotel has some age, it's incredibly well-maintained, and the decor and ambiance are very pleasant. As someone who pays close attention to details, I found virtually no flaws in the room – even the grout lines in the bathroom were perfectly white, and the toiletries had a lovely, soothing scent. Since we slept in every day, we didn't make it to the breakfast restaurant. Instead, we ordered room service four times and enjoyed afternoon tea at the lobby lounge twice. Both the main courses and desserts were excellent, and the service was impeccable. I also have to mention the heated swimming pool; both the indoor and outdoor pools were kept at a comfortable 32 degrees Celsius, and there's a Jacuzzi, which was very kid-friendly. At sunset, walking around the public areas with my daughter, sitting on a bench, listening to the wind, and gazing at the sea was an absolute delight. To the right of the hotel, a path leads downhill directly to the beach and also intersects with the Jeju Olle trail. Coupled with four days and three nights of sunshine during our stay, this vacation was an incredibly satisfying experience.
EExpatI really liked the property of the venue. I came to the area later in the day because it was raining on the island. Because I was in the midst of a circle around the island, I had already dealt with a rain storm at the folk Village and just needed to eat or clean up. I needed tea and a space to relax.
There’s a plaza about five minutes walking from this property, and some of the amenities were closed at Playce when I arrived. I was also told at check-in that it was more like a hostel. The check-in process was fast. The room space is very small, but the design of the hotel rooms is neat and functional. Unfortunately, there’s no luggage rack, and there are limited hours for the café, laundry, play, and bar restaurant. I had two suitcases, so I used my bed and a MacGyver way to set the carry-on.
I think this place is best suited for remote workers who are minimalists or trekkers/bikers. I still think the concept of Playce is unique. However, I wanted to go see the sunrise on the Ilchulbong hike and there’s no breakfast early in the morning. The coffee shop is not open until later either. The restaurant opens promptly at dinner time. The shop has very nice branded things, but I chose to purchase a couple of basic souvenirs. I felt a sense of hipster basically. Otherwise, the place is great. Price is best.
Although the staff was very friendly and had lots of information, I do not feel that describing the venue as a hostel was appropriate. If I cannot get my tea or coffee when the popular attraction nearby is a 40 minute walk away or a five minute taxi, then I should at least have the option that a hostel does. This means I had to utilize the coffee that I took from the previous hotel in order to make my morning start the best at sunrise..
It was suggested that I go to a restaurant locally across the street by Starbucks at the 4pm check-in since the restaurant was not open until 6 PM. Even if I had my own snacks, the option I had was to use the hot water machine downstairs. Thinking back to a hostel, I did not have the hostel kitchen. The laundry was available if needed though.
What I liked about this Playce despite the fact that it was a rainy day is the feature of the stage in the middle of the property and the fact that they do events locally on a regular basis. I liked the interior decorating and I did like the fact that they had a library/remote workers room.
The food at the restaurant was delicious. When I did get to eat breakfast later in the morning after the hike (the hike spot had local shops), it was really good. When the café did eventually open, it was a very nice space. Food service literally saved my opinion late in the morning.
I like the concept of the whole property and feel that it can do better in accommodating the hotel guests, especially when it is a Chinese holiday revolving around an upcoming Korean holiday. Hours of operation are not in sync with travelers, and it is definitely not with hostel amenities. It’s a hotel. I stayed at this location because of the price and vibe which was quite fine after 6pm. I really enjoyed the hike and the small village near the shore.

Ssuper1617First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and the Udo Island ferry terminal, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel's ambiance is similar to a budget hotel back home, but the cleanliness doesn't quite measure up. While the room's cleanliness is acceptable at a glance, you shouldn't look too closely. The bedsheets, for example, had so many holes, which I've never encountered before! 😂

GGuest UserAn affordable place to stay. It's directly across from the Olle Trail Service Center, which is the starting point of Olle Trail Route 7 and the end point of Route 6, making it incredibly convenient for us who wanted to hike the Olle Trails. It's also a short walk to the Olle Market, where we found endless delicious street food. The Ewha Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) downstairs is definitely worth trying too. The hotel is relatively new and well-equipped. I'd suggest they provide shower caps in the rooms.

GGuest UserWe were quite disappointed upon arrival. We had specifically booked a mountain view room, but were given a city view room with mountains in the distant background—a view that looked nothing like what was advertised in the hotel’s room listing.
When we raised this with the front desk and showed them the discrepancy using a photo comparison (our view vs. the advertised one), we were told that the building had been constructed recently and the room photos hadn’t been updated. However, the buildings obstructing our view clearly appeared not to be new, making that explanation unconvincing.
What was even more disappointing was the lack of any effort to rectify the situation. The hotel could have at least offered us an alternative room, even a cheaper one with partial sea and mountain views, but this wasn’t done. We ended up paying a premium for a view that didn’t meet expectations, and left feeling misled.
Parking
The listing stated free parking, but both nights, the hotel car park was full. We had to park in public areas, and one night, we ended up parking at the roadside due to a lack of space. As foreigners unfamiliar with Korean parking regulations, this caused unnecessary stress—we were worried about the risk of parking fines for potentially illegal parking.
Other Concerns
There seemed to be extra charges for everything. Only two complimentary bottles of water were provided each night. When we went to the lobby to ask for two paper cups, we were told we had to pay for them. Fortunately, this charge was waived—possibly because they were aware of our parking issue—but it still left a negative impression.
RRandomThis is the best hotel out of 3 hotel we stayed at when we were in Jeju. I love the location, the rooms were spacious, staff were very friendly, respectful and helpful. The view out to nature was amazing and calming. My kids enjoyed it. The pool is heated and was beautiful and it was perfect because the weather was cold. I love the idea of the DJ pool night time to just enjoy live music and chill time. Also very convenient with 7-11 store with other shops that are well affordable to buy necessities. The room service was also amazing. We ordered our food and it didn’t take long for them to be delivered. WE LOVE THIS HOTEL. A must to stay at if when we go again.
AAnonymous UserThe room facilities were quite old, and the layout was really strange – the washbasin area faced the bed with no door separating it. The toilet had a door, but it was a mirrored door, which was a bit creepy. The window was even stranger; it wouldn't stay open. As soon as I opened it, it would swing shut with the breeze. I kept opening and closing it all night, which made it hard to sleep. It got stuffy when closed, but it wouldn't stay open. On the bright side, the breakfast was pretty good value, I think it was around 80 per person. There's also a small convenience store downstairs that's open from 4 PM to midnight. The hotel's coffee shop is only open in the mornings. There's a horse stable next to the hotel where you can see horses, but it smells quite bad. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, and there are plenty of small restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries around the hotel. Overall, it's quite convenient.

GGuest UserBooked and stayed here last minute, and even had breakfast. The facilities were clean and spacious, though the room temperature was a bit too high, so I remember opening the window to air it out before sleeping. I had a really comfortable and relaxing stay. Thank you! The breakfast buffet was also decent, but I was a little disappointed there was no fruit. I wished there had been some tangerines! 🍊

PPark MaximEven though I was alone, they gave me a room with 2 queen size beds. It's not an issue really, but I'd rather have a table and a chair instead of another big bed.
It's clean, they give you 2 water bottles everyday, but they didn't do my bed for some reason. Maybe it'd be too much for the price!? Overall, I don't complain about it.
Somebody already mentioned people leaving their dirty boots and clothing in the hallway. It smells and honestly doesn't look nice by all means. I believe these are football players who come to Jeju for some reason. I stayed in a different hotel the night before I moved to this hotel and it was the same. Those football players are mostly middle-high school students so they might me noisy at the night.
A heads-up, do not ask for a room further from the elevator, otherwise you'd have to walk a lot like I did

GGuest UserA few things to update from the most recent review: the 7-11 next door is gone/being renovated; you cannot cook inside of your room even though it has a burner, etc. and not all rooms have a washing machine (photos a bit misleading). However, there is a laundry machine available for use, you just need your own detergent.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The cook-your-own breakfast was a great deal for us as a family. The roof top is amazing, 360 views of the sea and mountains, truly stunning.
