The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also appreciated that the self-service laundry room was well-maintained and kept clean. The facilities were good, but unfortunately, the service from the reception staff fell short of my expectations of hotel hospitality. The reception staff were not particularly friendly, and the assistance provided felt minimal. For example, my room was almost directly in front of the left lift, yet the receptionist simply told me that both lifts could be used without providing clearer directions. Another disappointing experience was arranging the complimentary airport-to-hotel shuttle service. When I contacted the reception to arrange a driver, I was instead asked to book my own car first and was told that the hotel would reimburse me upon arrival. This was inconvenient, as I had contacted them expecting assistance with the shuttle arrangement. To make matters worse, when processing the reimbursement, the staff transferred the money to my WeChat account without checking which reimbursement method would be convenient for me. As I do not use WeChat Pay, this left me with money that was difficult to access and use. I also ordered food through ******* and informed the receptionist that I would come downstairs to collect it once I had settled my belongings and finished some work that required my attention. However, the receptionist kept calling me repeatedly to ask whether I was coming down to collect my food, without explaining the actual issue. It turned out that the delivery person needed a code to leave the premises. Had the receptionist explained the situation clearly from the beginning, I could have understood the urgency and responded accordingly. Instead, the repeated calls without any proper explanation were frustrating and unnecessary. Overall, the hotel has good facilities, and the spacious, clean room and laundry area were definite plus points. However, the lack of friendliness, initiative, clear communication, and consideration from the reception staff significantly affected my stay. Good facilities alone are not enough to ensure a pleasant hotel experience. I hope the hotel can improve its customer service and train its staff to communicate more clearly and provide more thoughtful assistance to guests.

As a One Key Platinum Member and Trip.com Platinum VIP who travels frequently both domestically and internationally year-round, I have stayed at countless hotels and consider myself quite picky about accommodation and service standards. However, my experience at Xishuangbanna Yunman Cliff Hotel truly exceeded my expectations. What touched me the most was the level of service. From check-in to check-out, the staff greeted every guest proactively and were extremely polite. Whenever they saw luggage, they would step forward to help carry it or push the luggage cart. Having traveled extensively across China, it is really rare to find a hotel in this price range where the entire staff maintains such a strong service awareness. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained and offer a great user experience. The breakfast features a rich variety and tastes delicious. Combined with the cliff hotel's unique and privileged location and such thoughtful, warm service, the overall stay was comfortable and relaxing. The only area for improvement I felt was the photography service provided by the hotel. It seemed to be outsourced and, to be honest, was just so-so. Based on my years of travel experience, this place offers unbeatable value for money. When I visit Banna again next year, I will definitely choose to stay here. Highly recommended!

This Mingyu Licheng Ademan Hotel in Banna was such a pleasant surprise! It's full of Southeast Asian charm, surrounded by lush rainforest greenery, and the pool light show creates an incredible atmosphere. The room was spacious and smart, with a Dyson hairdryer and Atelier Cologne toiletries, which really elevated the experience. The balcony offered a super relaxing view. The butler service was attentive, and they even offered pick-up and drop-off. The Dai-style rice noodles for breakfast were amazing. Absolutely fantastic value for money, definitely my top choice for accommodation in Banna!

something happened at this hotel that has never happened to me before. on the first night that i arrived i wanted to set down my luggage, use the bathroom quickly, then check out the surrounding night markets. i need to preface this by saying i’m a very experienced, decade-long bidet user. i book hotels specifically with smart toilets, and i’ve installed several bidets at home myself. let me just say this is the dumbest toilet i’ve ever seen in my life because the moment i stood up it started spraying me in the face. i was disgusted so i quickly moved over to the shower to cleanse myself. i figured maybe it’s a one off, and that i shouldn’t have to be afraid of a toilet. but the next time i tried to use it again, the moment i turned the bidet on it started spraying outside of the toilet bowl…all over the bathroom wall. i was once again disgusted so i cleaned the bathroom and showered twice on the night i arrived, and also did a load of laundry. i think whoever used the room before me set the bidet nozzle position so that it would spray outside of the bowl. my question is: 1) why would you do that? 2) to whoever designed this bidet/toilet, why would you allow someone to do that? i thought about moving hotels but i eventually got too lazy, plus the benefit of this hotel is that the location is fantastic. some of the most popular restaurants and cafes in the area are within a quick 5-10 minute walk. it’s such a lively neighborhood with everything you need at your fingertips. be mindful that cars cannot enter this area, as it’s all pedestrian streets. but there is a larger road maybe 2 minute walk away where it’s easy to call a car. the staff is always very helpful. for example on the night that i had to do laundry because of the crazy toilet, they helped me monitor the wash/dry cycle and all i had to do was pick up the clothes when they were done. aside from the poorly designed bathroom (aggressive toilet and sink faucet that sprays everywhere), the room is very clean, modern, and spacious. the breakfast is just okay, very simple and minimal options. at the moment there’s a lot of construction going on as well within the hotel, so on several mornings i was woken up by drilling at 9am. i think it’s overall a good value for your money, as the nightly rate is inexpensive. but be careful of their bathrooms.

The hotel's facilities truly deserve praise – everything is brand new, and the full-room smart features make life so much easier. The leisure amenities are also comprehensive, with a gym and laundry room readily available. The highlight is definitely the sky garden and pool on the 9th floor, offering expansive views. A night swim with a gentle breeze up there is simply delightful. A perfect stay!

I recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy. The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything. If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

The Naga Hotel, with its Thai-style architecture, provides exceptional butler service and thoughtful touches like complimentary airport pickup, making it perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious, equipped with projectors and balconies. It's just a 10-minute walk to the Starlight Night Market, and they offer free shuttle service to the Gaozhuang scenic area. Overall, it offers great value for money.

During the Water Splashing Festival, the hotel was fully booked, but despite the large number of guests, the service was excellent. This time, I brought three family members over 70 years old to Xishuangbanna to experience the festival atmosphere. The hotel arranged three adjacent rooms on the same floor for easy care. They helped find and arrange delivery of a power bank we left behind at check-out – thank you so much! The breakfast restaurant actually opened at 7 am, which is perfect for our elderly friends who are early risers, and the selection was quite good. The laundry room is convenient for those traveling long distances. Free water was provided on the day of the Water Splashing Festival. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Housekeeping was also very prompt. The rooms were equipped with smart home technology. The location is also great; it's within walking distance of the Golden Pagoda and the Starlight Night Market. It's a standalone hotel, which is rare in Gaozhuang, so it's worth a try.

I was lucky enough to find an available room when I checked in, and the lovely front desk staff upgraded me to a better room. I stayed in the Sunset King Room, which had a huge balcony and was super comfortable. I could see the night view, and in the evening, my boyfriend and I enjoyed some BBQ and drinks on the balcony while taking in the scenery – it was quite relaxing. The pool is very photogenic; it was just too hot in the afternoon, so I'd recommend going in the evening for photos. The cleaning staff were also very thorough and paid attention to details. Overall, it was a great stay, and I'll definitely come back next time. The only downside is that Xishuangbanna is genuinely scorching hot!

The owner is a very, very thoughtful man from Northeast China. Seeing that I was a young woman and worried I wouldn't be able to carry my luggage, he offered to help me carry it upstairs. He's available 24/7 by phone. The location is excellent; it's just a short walk to a taxi stand and very close to the Starlight Night Market, only a few turns away. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area. I mentioned I'm a light sleeper, and he kindly arranged a very quiet room for me on the far side – truly a peaceful oasis. I also rented their electric scooter, and the owner charged it for me every night, so I didn't have to worry about it at all. It was fully charged when I woke up, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Traveling with such kindness made me feel so warm and cared for. Thank you, Uncle! This experience has further enhanced my positive impression of people from Northern China.
